Look for FAB's OFP tutorials on Google, you should be able to find some interesting stuff.
-
Ok no problem, I'll wait.
-
Ok thanks, then I will wait for Messiah to describe his method.

Jerry Hopper has made a very good video tutorial about DSSignFile. It is available on ArmedAssault.eu : http://www.armedassault.eu/Tutorials/Dssignfile-Howto-video.html

Yep, 1 unit in o2 is 1 meter ingame. If you want to resize your model presse Ctrl + A (Select All) and then go to Points/Transform 3D/Scale and choose a scaling value (the same on all three axis to keep aspect ratio).

What is your Oxygen version ? RC2 or RC3 ?
-
Or to put the old DLLs in the new folder, but it's better to download the new version I think.
-
It is possible to texture from a paa but it needs a little trick if you are using the old version of Oxygen 2 (the RC2 I think). This little bug should be corrected in the latest version included in the BI Tool Pack RC 3.

Mine is atm a L-39C (trainer version). I think I'll make it a L-39ZO with ground attack capabilities. -
No news at the moment but the work is going on.

I was wondering if I was able to model a whole plane in only one day... Well, that's the result : About 8 hours work, it still lacks the landing gear and the interior, but I think I'll finish it later. -

Seems it lacks polishing. -
Hello, There were already some discussions about UV Editor. Some beginnings of answers were found : http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=68008 http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=67134 I began writing a small tutorial to show what I found, but it's trial and error so I don't know if I was searching in the right direction : http://www.young.cliranet.com/tutoriaux/UV_Editor_Tutorial.pdf Messiah, could you say if your method is quite like mine or if I was totally misunderstanding the stuff ? Regards, Chris.

A Smith & Wesson 686 I'm currently working on for Operation Frenchpoint : -
I took a little too much time to pay the server, now it's done, the tutorial is up again.
-
Yes, I'm working on the part which uses the Unwrap function to unwrap more complex structures like cylinders. But I've not much time at the moment, I'm moving to south France tomorrow so I've some luggage to prepare. Â

I've written a small PDF tutorial here : http://www.young.cliranet.com/tutoriaux/UV_Editor_Tutorial.pdf It's only the basics because I don't know much more than that. I hope it can help and it would be great if I could have some feedback on this tutorials (things to add, corrections, ...).

Thank you. -
At the previous page there was someone asking what was extruding. After the theorical answers, I wanted to post one practical example. This is the place at the rear of my aircraft where the arresting hook is stored during the flight : Before, it is smooth : http://www.young.cliranet.com/cyp/images/arma/extrude1.jpg After, there is a cavity for the hook to be stored in : (I didn't make the hook yet) http://www.young.cliranet.com/cyp/images/arma/extrude2.jpg All this is done just by pressing G (extrude), and deplacing the faces created. Much more practical than copying the points and making the faces by hand like before...

Pure curiosity : how many faces for this beautiful wheel ? -
Dxdll won't work with ArmA I think, the graphic engine has changed too much between the two games.
-
For example, change the path in your options to an other one that won't work, click ok, and go again in the options to set the good path back. Then restart O2.
-
my issues? TGA conversion fails. TGA gets displayed in editor. PAA doesnt get loaded in o2. i give up. Hi Jerry, The solution to your problem has been described here : http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....2;st=15 In fact you just need to add the old DLLs from Oxygen Light in you O2 PE folder and refresh the DLL folder in your options. It worked for me.

All works fine for me now, thanks a lot everybody.
