It's true that there are vast complexities to the whole process of government and capitalism = good, communism = bad is a simpletons view of the world. However I'd rather not be hung for having illegal plant extract, like this poor fool. A nice, clean orderly place, run by very fiscally-sound, savages. To bring this back on topic. Iraq won't see any form of effective gorvernment in the next decade, communist, capitalist, democracy, police state. It's now a failed state that is a training ground for those with an axe to grind (for good reasons) against the US and coalition dupes. The only hope for stability lies in resurecting Sadam.

I reckon Sahrani suffers from a lack of industrial areas. Power plants, factories, water works, sewerage treatment plants, rubbsih dumps etc. That said, you have to look at the number of houses on Sahrani and realise that the population isn't high enough to require freeways, heavy industry things like that. Anybody got too much time on their hands and want to estimate the population of Sahrani?

I know this is the wrong place to ask and I probably shouldn't be asking anyway buuuuuut.... Are you still working on the Tarawa class for OFP? grovel mode on I was planning on making a USMC campaign with Philcommando's Tarawa, but held off as yours looked so nice grovel mode off

I have just done a quick experiment on desert Island to confirm it, and I have to sadly report that the laser designator/A10 combination doesn't seem to work properly. I checked the read me and it says the BIS A10 has been replaced with Diesel's great piece of work. However it seems Diesel's MK82 version and not his GBU-12 version has been used. This breaks all missions involving the BIS A10 (LGB), as the FFSX A10 will only attack the laser target with AIM-9 Sidewinders. The F16 will attack the laser target, but it too only has MK82s, which (as I'm certain you know) are not laserguided. I had a quick look in the mysterious-to-me world of the config, and... class DSL_a10_GBUBomb:LaserGuidedBomb is in there. I hope I dont sound too negative, because I love this mod and greatly appreciate the work that has gone into it. Thank you! Chops

Agreed! The version I saw on the youtube vid was good, but all the smoke/dust disapated at the same time. Is it possible to add some kind of random function, so not every grenade has exactly the same effect? Keep up the great work mate! Have you considered some new laserguided bomb effects? That would be most welcome -
I definitely recommend FFSX, but you might not appreciate how good it is unless you play vanilla OFP (version 1.96) first. Maybe play the single missions with plain OFP, then install FFSX and play through the campaigns. I have heard of Chinese kids dying from 48 hours + on the PC. This nearly happened to me too! The initial install can be downloaded from the first page in this thread. The next patch is 1.01 (apparently you need this before 1.05). That can be found here. And the latest patch is version 1.05 here.. Happy battles mate!

Sounds very promising Sakura chan! As was mentioned earlier in the thread, a look at how BAS went about it in OFP may give you some ideas, although you seem to have it all figures out already! Ganbate!

Apologies for digging up an old thread, especially to ask what may have already been answered (I did check:) ). Are the COC Tomahawks compatable with UA1.1? I haven't been able to get them to work. I tried placing the tomahawk launcher in the UA1.1template mission, no joy. Many thanks. Chops

This sounds exactly like what I've been dreaming of for since 2003! It's a great relief to see missions still being made, and people still being interested, considering the Arma debarcle. What mod would you recommend for this campaign? ECP? WGL? FFUR/SLX? SLX? I've coincidently just discovered the COC Commmand Engine, so I'm greatly looking forward to playing this!

@Fischkopp. I had great fun with DKMM's Broncos, I recall they were working on a big C-130 pack that seems to have disapeared with DKM-Jaguar. Looking forward to your OV-10. Any news on the ship your were working on? @Simba nice pic! Nice sig too

What is the point of an expansion of something that doesn't work properly? If I've got cancer, I don't need a facelift and liposuction.

I'm wondering at what point will Arma be up to scratch? This will vary greatly for different people, but at what stage (eg 1.20) of the game do you think it needs to get to, before it's as you thought it was going to be, out of the box?

@DMarkwick Looks good mate! One of the first things that impressed me about the mods in OFP were the improved smoke and explosion effects. In that second picture, all the smoke columns looks exactly the same. Is there a way to add a slightly more random element? Perhaps reduce the speed(?) that the smoke goes from being dense and black to totally disapated too? Keep up the good work!

How many were you expecting to say, er no it's all a complete load of codswallop please cut my funding and allow me to find a nice job in MacDonalds. What? I think you'll find there have been oceanographers and climatologists for a long time before the current global warming debate. It's absurd to suggest that there's a great conspiracy on the part of the global science community, to do what? Keep their jobs?
