Yeah, I cant believe some of the resolutions people are running the game in whilst complaining about performance - then I look at their specs and its not hard to work out why. I had pretty poor performance on my old ATI 9800 Pro - though it was playable at lower resolutions. Since I updated to a X1950 Pro*** I have been able to play at 1440x900 on my widescreen TFT - Most settings on normal (1 on high, and shadows on low). Even now, I dont crank my detail settings up to max...... What is everyone expecting. If its too slow or jerky, turn your res' and detail settings down. It was the same for OFP and its no different now. #C *** (It was dirt cheap at Å140. Ill get an ATI Dx10 when they have been out for a few months.)

You can buy an Asus radeon X1950 (256Mb) for less than Å140. It runs ArmA really well! #C

Yeah, but then when Vista comes out (and all those lovely Dx10 games) you'll be wishing you hadn't bought a cut price 7950! My current card is a ATI 9800 Pro - I've had it a couple of years and Im skipping straight to a Geforce 8800. Lol, A lower model! #C

Its not a crappy wireless keyboard is it? If it is, try it with a PS2 or USB wired one. Only time i've experienced this (to a very minor degree) is when running, takes a few paces to stop (which you would expect, I suppose). #C

Is it allowed to post the German 1.01 ArmA.exe file from a non downloaded game - So I can get a server up and running? Dont know if that would make a difference to Activation - IF I only want to use it as a ArmA SERVER. #C

I have the Morphicon Downloaded version and have obviously activated it on my main PC.. I have installed it on the PC I want to use as a server and tried to run it with the -server suffix.. Now, its coming up asking me to activate it... Im pretty sure it won't let me.. what do you think? #C

Hmmmm. Not too sure about flying choppers yet (though only got ArmA this morning). It just doesnt feel right... Strafing is a nightmare!! I was under the impression that for forward flight, the nose of a chopper points toward the ground - yet its altitude can stay the same (with the correct pitch/power; whatever). This allows you to strafe without flying into the ground. However, in ArmA (in its current implementation) if you point a chopper toward the ground, you are gonna fly into it. This (I think) defeats the purpose of flying helicopters in ArmA as pretty much everything they shoot at is below them.. Basically, they behave like planes (Which I believe is true to a point at higher airspeeds). Is this by design? #C

Downloading now from Morphicon.com 640kbps so about 40 mins per file (hopefully) - there are two files; one is 1Gb in size, the other 1.6Gb. Pretty slick - I'll apply the English patch as soon as i get it... Then Ill be playin! Oh... Then I have to buy a new graphics card! #C

Slightly off topic - but still to do with carrying weapons.. Does anyone know whether you will be able to quickly drop an RPG/LAW Launcher in AA (rather than waiting for the animation) with single key press?? I hate having to wait for the the animation to put away the AT weapon and get my rifle back in my hand before I can hit the dirt! Yes I know its only a few seconds but when you have a M1 traversing its turret toward you, every second counts! Anyone got any ideas? #C

On a side note; are there any Benchmarking utilities Specifically for - and using - Operation Flashpoint? Cheers #C

I own 2 copies of OFP GOTY. (Have 2 PC's so why not) I have already made some OFP GOTY MOCHA CAKE (See page one - Thanks Orange Juice) with 1 copy (Add the instruction manual as well it makes all the difference). It was delicious! No idea what Ill do with my other one. Depends how long it takes them to convert CTI for ArmedAssault, I suppose Probably go back to it once in a while. Cheers #C

I actually hope we never get continuous stats (a-la CounterStrike etc) at all!!!! I would be happier with round-by-round stats as at present, though maybe a bit more detailed to keep people happy. I feel that stat's encourage players to play for themselves - not as a team - as they want to improve their online rating.. It also encourages cheating..... #C

Hi All, Can anyone recommend a good addon manager? I am using Trev's OFP addon manager, its good, however it doesnt seem to have all the features I would like. For example; -The ability to add comments to addons/missions, so I can easily see what they are and keep track of them. -A manager that can move the addon or mission file out of the OFP directory tree (when it isnt selected) to another folder. Suggestions appreciated! #C

Hi All, I have just bought a second copy of OFP:GOTY. I want to put the second copy onto my second PC, however, I have already installed OFP on it (with my 1st CDKey) - to use it as a server. What I want to know is how you change your CD-Key for OFP? I have noticed that there is an entry in the registry, but it must be encrypted. I dont fancy reinstalling it if there is an easy way to do it. Thanks, #C
