    Where is the Game?

Only one hour ago in this very same thread I said this: Nobody's talking about Combined Operations here. So stop embarrassing yourself.

    Where is the Game?

I wish Arma 3 had as much content as your post has rhetoric. Then it wouldn't need you to defend its number and variety of assets compared to Arma 2.

    Where is the Game?

Arma 3 should stand on its own legs as a game that anyone interested can play and have their money's worth of fun without special concessions or apologies. This community that you speak of so highly becomes a little more obnoxious in the eyes of "outsiders" every time it jumps to defend Arma 3 with the same old sentimental arguments that change nothing about how the game compares to other releases in the game industry and what people who don't live for the Arma franchise expect from the games they buy.

    Where is the Game?

How does this argument constatly get used despite being blatantly untrue? Once again, here is the asset list of Arma 2: http://www.dayzsuperhive.co.uk/arma-ii.html You're welcome to point out which category has an inferior number of assets compared to Arma 3, and you're most welcome to ignore the attachment variants of the weapons.
  6. win_west = true; publicVariable "win_west"; That will broadcast the variable to all machines, making the end trigger activate.

    Where is the Game?

So does any of that cancel out the fact that the game was released as a sandbox editor with incomplete assets and missing playable content?
  8. It'll make the locations look less pretty but yeah, fps is important.
  9. A lot of objects have had their classnames erased from the game, meaning they can only be seen as permanent map objects. I believe it's some sort of performance optimization.
  10. In Arma 2, the screenshot would show a single-colored sky. In Arma 3, we have a dark vignette effect at the edge of the screen unrelated to any fatigue or health effect on the player. It's not readily apparent in all situations but it seems we're stuck with this kind of effect in Arma 3 with no way to change it. Personally I feel it creates an uncomfortable subconscious feeling of tunnel vision even if it doesn't conceal anything, and the non-smooth gradient looks really bad in some cases. I'm not really sure what the effect's purpose is. Does anyone else have a problem with this? I think one should have the option to disable it.

    BIS_fnc_saa_handleDamage ?

Returning 0 just makes the unit's damage 0 after every hit. You disable the handling by returning nothing. setDamage has no place in the handler, it might mess up damage ownership and it offers nothing that returning a damage value doesn't unless you want equal damage distribution across all parts for some reason.

    BIS_fnc_saa_handleDamage ?

    You don't use setDamage in the HandleDamage event handler, you just provide a damage value. unit addEventHandler ["HandleDamage", {1}];

    Arma Memes...

You realize the second text should be in the middle frame?
  15. Just curious, what problems?
  16. Increasing UI size to normal or large should help most reading problems.
  17. And what if that's how the registry value already is?

You overestimate the user-friendliness of the action and command menus. I've seen videos where people have no damn clue what to do with the action menu and instead just leave some mission-specific action prompt on the screen for the rest of the game. It's not an intuitive thing to scroll your mouse wheel every once in a while to discover what new things you can do in different situations. Furthermore, you only have very simple move/hold fire commands shown to you when selecting your team, and unless you're previously very familiar with the game series, you'll have no idea that you can access advanced commands with the number keys that aren't shown unless you for some strange reason press backspace without any underlings selected.
  20. I've regularly tabbed out of all the Arma series games, and Arma 3 is the only one that wants back on top so adamantly.
  21. How come other games are never next in line?
