Well yeah, i get what you guys mean about the music. I stuck the music in cause imho it fits, death metal or hardcore = death + war is hardcore, not only that, the titles and what the music is about, Love Lost in a Hail of Gunfire, Progencies of the Great Apocolypse, Ramses Bringer of War, Eye For An Eye, Frontlines, Kill to Believe, War Pigs and Hand of DOom. The song, Wicker from CLutch is talking about war or the Civil War. i might leave at least probably the Black Sabbath songs in there and Breaking Benjamin for one of the death scenes and leave the other death scene songs, they are pink Floyd and Alice in Chains and fit well with the death scenes. I just figured some of the music in ArmA was just a little too soft for a war game.

What version do you have of ArmA? The fix will either be out today or tomorrow, we just need to test a few things with it and several testers with other versions of ArmA to make sure its working properly. We will up teh volume, I will do that also in the wave file itself but I usually have to be care full, the higher the volume, the less percussive and dynamic it will be, any louder and you will get a squashed effect sound. I'd like to raise the volume in certain areas also but I am just using Goldwave, the trial version hahahahah, gosh I'm cheap, well, I do use NTrack and SoundFOrge also. I wish I had the pro stuff, if I could dish out 1,000 bucks. Thats why you will see professionally made sound effects that cost over 100 dollars for a CD and some of the sound effects are manipulated and exaggerated too much. And yes it can be played with EAX. Yes, what I mean by compatible is, if the modders are using my sound mod I will have sounds for other weapons and events that they can include the name of the sound into their mods if they do not have a custom weapon/veh sound of their own. Tis very hard to find custom sounds or make them so people will use sounds from other games. Or, if you have an existing addon that uses stock sound you can go into the config and re-assign the sound name to what I have listed in CSM so the sounds do not clash or miss match. Its up to the users liking also.

Yes but the only thing is the adding of scripts and event handlers I assume, which I have no idea how to do in ArmA, I barely started getting the hang of it in OFP lol. Unless someone knew of a way, I can make it in the final so that the editor can pull it up in the scroll down and choose one.

Bud, seriously, you really need to visit a shooting range, I guarantee you will think other wise bro. Preferably a range without trees and an over hanging awning, total open range. The reason in videos you see , the camera when filming close range shots it sounds like sheet metal is because the mic cannot pick up that high percussive sound pressure wave the weapon makes, so you will only here like loud scrapping sound, kinda like filming a lightning bolt at a close distance, you won't hear that nice crack on film. But hey man thanks for trying.

Yes, once its out of Beta and all the kinks are ironed out it should have a key, which is good reason I released it in Beta category. Ok, *ehem* what is a key and how do I implement one? *cowers in embarrassment * Yes, i noticed when trying to get into a few multiplayer rooms they had a key checker so I wasn't able to join. The fixes on certain things as the m16 can be quick, easy, and painless if you can un pbo and search for a few files to replace or add. Other than that, Q concocted a few fixes and I am waiting for him and Binkster to get back to me so that I or one of them can just stick a download link for the fix.

Hey Tiger. Thanks for the props man, Yes, the verrsion you have might be the reason, since it is not playing the M16s then it may not be doing the same for the DSHK. The sound is there and really, because of the huge round it has I made it to where it rattles the speaker boxes. There's bass there. We will have a fix for that in a short while.

Woa. Thanks everyone for all kudos and links!! Ok, I am jotting down the issues and looking into correcting them. Like mrcash2009, we both have the same version which I think is the International? No, the UK, yes, thats the one I got off of Ebay. So once Binkster gets back online we will start searching for some solutions to the version issues. Maybe we can post some configs that will correct those issues in the software versions , we will just need to know what isnt working, what error messeges are popping up. Like the flare, that might be a simple "soundhit (flare_open)" and "soundfly" problem. The M16a4, i made sure it worked so the USMC addons would be working with it, but as siad before the Versions of ArmA is the cause. What I might be able to do as a quick fixer is either post the weapon sound replacements to over right the stock ones, but the only thing with that is the sound mix matching with what ever other sound mod you might have. Or if you all can post the config and issues and the version you have . Maybe Binkster will have a solution. will report back later .

Oh wow, thanks El Nino, and wow, on ArmAHolic!!! Well I wish all the kinks would have been ironed out but we tried. on my end there have been no errors so it may just be version problems and all sounds are audible.

Hey guys thanks. Well I did this all on 1.14 and so far on my end there has been no errors and everything sounds fine. It might be a version issue , whomever has either European or American version. Ahh, I do however have the UK version, that might be the reason. If anyone has a solution to that please send it my way, or Binksters way, he may be able to fix that and link a proper config for that. I got a messege from Q that he had fixed a few errors also, which I do appreciate. I made sure that the M16a4 was also included but I gues on some of your ends its not fixed yet. I think, like I said earlier, it might be a version issue.. Â We will be on that now. Tell you what, why don't yall post what versions you have and what countries like, US or European or UK versions . Mine is the UK version.

Well, heres a little preview of CSM so far. Here where I live been alot of earthquakes and keeping us on edge, about 400 + earthquakes since last Firday, fortunately most have been really small, but then I have school full time now . Oh hey ArmAV, there you are! Well, I have been able to talk to Durg, but the same thing, instant messenger tag at the most. Bink will be unavailable this Sat but he will be around Sun. Durg has helped alot even on a few things with the config the last time I talked to him. I'd wouldve liked him to continue on the config but he seems too busy at the moment, already its hard to catch him online. Ugh, I've been wanting to release the replacement but there are so many other sounds I havent replaced yet, its daunting. -

Well, we are still in the process, having trouble with a few things in the config but I'm sure Bink can iron it out. I wish I could stick a preview up again but I already said no previews cause i will release Beta instead. Bink has been really busy lately but I have been lucky enough to catch him on MSN, we keep playing IM tag. I will need someone to make a movie, and I do not remmeber nor am able to find the guy who made the first one, ArmAVidz, I think he is out now. -

WEll I was going to release the stand alone CSM Beta2 this past weekend , but I only had a few responses for some assitance on the Config. Although Binkster has finally made his presence on MSN thank GOd so we will see now. I had checked out several other sound mods and noticed that there are some sounds from my mod in theirs as well. -
i have to agree, extremely. There should be at least 3, close, 300m and distant. Same as weapons, just like BF2, although, in BF2, the weapons have the 1, 3 person, plus a distant by attaching the sound to the muzzle flash at a certain distance. But not for explosions.
