How Do I make music stop or fade away
Chris Death replied to Nekke's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
create a trigger - activated how you want - i prefer to place it b4 action goes on and at on-activation field type: 10 FadeMusic 0 10 means the time (in seconds), the fadeout should take 0 is the volume, which it should have after these 10 seconds. Instead of 10 you could also use another time-period -
How the #### could anyone tell a mission-creater how he has to name his mission? If you don't like the name of a mish, there will be 3 ways to avoid of having missions with such names: 1 - rename the mission (as i told in topic b4) 2 - don't download it, or if you got it by playing - delete it from your folder 3 - create your own list (maybe on a toillet-paper) where you write down the in-game name and some comments like you want. Everyone who creates a map has the right (and only he has it) to name his map how he wants (even if it's xyz or GIRHGRT) I understand all what you mean by having probs to select the right map for playing, but i never had a real big prob with that naming thing.

russin do you really expect someone to do that s**t. Let's keep this game on that serious level, it is now. e.g: you play a big MP game with about 30 players and 28 are flying around as seagulls. Two soldiers left on the field and all the other's s**tting their pieces down to the ground. Wot would you expect next then? Male and female seagulls, to build up a seagull family? Hehe and the russians should respawn in crows, to have a continuing fight up in the air then? C'mon russin bring us some more worthless suggestions, we really need them. LMAO ROFL LOLOLOL

Why you don't let the mission makers choose the name, they want? If you want to have a better overview at your mission selection, just rename the files in your MPmissions folder, or you could also write down a list of your maps and a comment beside (including all info you want). Don't understand me in wrong way, but isn't it enough that the mission makers makin good missions, which you can play (and all for free). Don't bother them with your special wishes.

is this offical forum ???
Chris Death replied to russin's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Hehe and possibly you would like to get a 600 pages filling reference book for free. Or better; BIS should give you (for free) the option to study all that stuff (by professional support). LMAO I think BIS would have done this, if CM would have given them the order to do so (but the price of the game would have been much higher than now). For me it's funny and interesting too, to search through the forum and see what other's idea's and problems are, and in which several ways they could solve them. -
<a href="http://www.ofpeditingcenter.com There" target="_blank">http://www.ofpeditingcenter.com There</a> you'll get at least one new template

Stupid question, but does your trigger have on its condition-field "true"? If this is so, change it to "this"

MP Co-op "join" not working properly?
Chris Death replied to crashdome's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Yes you're right - join doesn't work well in MP I can't tell you if this depends on the version (i first used and expired it on 1.29) - better try to find alternates to get the POW out of there like e.g: let him enter a vehicle in cargo (after you cleared the misery there) and take the vehicle with you. -
A FREE LAMBORGHINI DIABLO SV TO WHOEVER ANSWERS THIS!!!!!!
Chris Death replied to Aculaud's topic in OFP : MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Ok so let's forget the fact, that this is one of the most answered questions and you could find it by search function. 1 place your unit on map, and give him a name (e.g. a1) you could also place a whole group and then click on the group leader and give him a name then. 2 place a chopper (same side as unit) and give him a name (e.g. c1) - on the special field select: fly 3 press the F2 button and drag off the group line from chopper to your unit, so that they won't be grouped together anymore 4 in init field of unit a1 type following: grp=group this; (for grp you can use how you want to name the group) "_x moveincargo c1" foreach units group this (don't forget to leave a space btw the ";" and the "_x move..." Whoops now you starting in a chopper in the air So if you want to know now how to get off this chopper again - this should be worth at least a second Diablo. One hint for free - it has to do with the unassignvehicle command.
