    Seems like there'll be a few c130s I've got one on the way too Indy for the Falklands mod. Good to see others having a go at my favourite transport. Ok. Is it the crew or the cargo that you're having problems with? Either way it could be where you have your pos driver and pos cargo in the memory lod. Are they outside the confines of the aircraft body? Just a thought. And keep up the good work mate I like what I've seen so far. Cheers Klink

    Warning: addons and resistance expansion

    Hi I've been wondering about the use of cfgmodels but didn't understand until now. Thanks Adammo. I'd been using OFP under DirectX because the gun flash and transparent textures for the props were annoying me. I'll implement the cfgmodels in the F27 tomorrow and test it under 1.60. Cheers 8)

    Check out the demo m16.p3d file or the m3.p3d. These will have the memory points fo the flash, bullet direction etc. Cheers 8)

    Missles on turret?

    I get about 9 hours sleep a day. In the rest of the day I research and create models. I'm off work for about six months so I fill my time with the modelling. I have an ulterior motive for this though. I have a project planned that requires 3d modelling so I'm taking this opportunity to learn as much as I can. It has been fun although I'm sure you will agree some members of the OFP community can be pretty hard to please.. and demanding.. I've had several emails demanding I send the models to them first. I just ignore them of course. The texture side of it has been the hardest, as what I think is okay doesn't seem to satisfy others. But that said I'm willing to give antything a go. Cheers 8)

    The bouncing misery

    Okay. I've had another go at the bounce problem and have come to the conclusion that the problem doesn't lie in any of the above but in the geometry lod. Today I experimented with the skyhawk geometry by making it simpler and applying convex hull. The bounce has stopped, although it was kinda fun watching the models leap hundreds of meters in the sky.     Plane rotors

    Okay here's the exact method I used on the F27 On the model lods: vrtule 0 - Right hand propeller + spinner + blurred transparent face (double sided) vrtule 1- Left hand propeller + spinner + blurred transparent face (double sided) Vrtule blur - copy of the spinner + blurred trasparent parts above - if mor than one engine group these together vrtule staticka - group all propellers The reason I made a copy of each spinner was that I couldn't figur a way of showing the spinner both when the engines were going and when they weren't. memory lod: osa vrtule 0 - 2 points for the axis for right proellor osa vrtule 1 - 2 points for the axis for the left propellor From what I can gather (from experimenting) the two poins are for the longitudinal axis for each propellor. By rotating one side I was able to have the props counter rotating. I hope that helps. Cheers

    Sizes in oxygene?

    Don't know if this will help, but I experimented with the zodiac (not my best example), by selecting the lower half of the boat while in geometry lod and increasing the weight. This effectively lowers the center of gravity.. the blue cross. Worth a shot. Cheers Klink

    Just a thought on the bouncing problem. The hawk missiles and radar I built leapt around like jolly policemaen at a cannibis bornfire, until I reduced the fuel level to 0. once hit they just explode and stay right where they were. Now I'm not sure if that was the only reason because I changed the required version to 1.30. So either of those two could have solved the problem. Cheers 8)

    Missles on turret?

    Hi guys I've added this to the Hawk family. Antenna rotates, needs textures finished, but makes a lovely big bang when hit. Still not having much luck with the missiles firing, althou when set as a tank class the missile carrier rotates, elevates up.down, and fires machine guns at you if you try to destroy it, so at least we are getting somewhere Cheers Klink

    Wheeltextures flickering

    Ok. I just had a look at the wheels on the vehicle that was giving me trouble. It had 67 points and 64 faces. So that really didn't tell me anything. So I deleted all the faces of the wheel by selecting the wheel and pressing 'D'. Next I re built the wheel by selecting 4 points per face the 'F6'. Once the wheel was complete I remapped the wheel texture. Made 3 copies of the wheel, positioned them in place of the old ones and reset their names according to whichever predni, pravy etc. I tried it in OFP and the on-off luminance problem was gone. Question: What program did you build the model in? The reason I as this that sometimes 3D (Deep) Exploration adds or subtracts faces on conversion to 3ds. Just a thought. Cheers 8)

    I have a problem on one of my vehichle but not on another. I'm not sure but I think it might caused by double sided polys. That is the texture is on two opposite faces. Its worht a look. Cheers 8)

    Light following turret....?

    You've probably already tried this but.. What would happen if you have them set in the following lod: Memory lod: Define the light point as light (or Czech word - svelto something) Include the light point when defining the turret axis point Put the light point(s) at the place you want the searchlight positioned. I haven't tried this myself, but with experimenting often a solution presents itself. Hope this was helpful. Cheers 8) Klin

    This is cool guys. So how about the aircraft. Got some of them figured but the flaps got me beat. Also what is the corresponding model parts names for the above, because sometimes the memory point names differ slightly from the model part names. Cheers 8)

    I have similar problem with crashed aircraft. Looks kina neat at first watching a wrecked skyhawk leaping into the air.. but for realsim the bounce issue kinda sucks. Cheers 8) Klink

    Plagiators

    Considering that there is little to no documentation for us to use Oxygen I think it was a good idea on BIS part to let us have the demo p3d's to explore and experiment with. I for one wouldn't have known what a predni kolo was if it stood up and bit me on the ear. Sure people will depbo the demos and the models we make. But if that increases the life expectancy of OFP I'm all for it. I do have a problem with people that use our models and alter them saying that it was their own work. That to me isn't plagerism, it's theft. The community is made up of a lot of individuals who couldn't give two stuffs when it comes to other people's work. On the other hand there is a bigger majority of people who are quite content to appreciate what the get given. Because we cannot sell the models and they are on the public domain, all we can do is grin and bear it, I guess. It will be good when we can make the models into the Game's pbo file type and no-one can depbo them (for now). I appreciate the efforts put into the community such as A-Lone-Wolf, Kegetys, FliPeR, and countless others who have shared their experiments and code snippets, tutorials and other advice and assistance. I say thanks guys. In the meantime lets put our best efforts into creating new things for OFP. I know I'm still learning and it has been fun seeing a new model in the game.     Sorry. Its the aircraft model. I have used an online translator and klapky also means shutters so I 'm going to experiment with that today as I think shutters and flaps are the same thing. Just a thought. Cheers 8)

    Not even one o2 made vehicle

    Okay so I'll add a fourth version. Armour plated to h*ll and back. The car is great off road, as you can see. The new island caused it to get airborne Dukes of Hazzard style yeeha! Then it landed on it's roof stranded like a flipped turtle. I got out and flagged the second car. It came allright.. the the screen changed You are dead.. Sod ran me over. I've used the jeep class characteristics so it can go off road. The Trabant class was terrible.. I can walk faster than it off road. Cheers 8) Klink
