I was just playing around with the glass textures and thought, if that can be done why not fuselage damage. Unfortunately having bullet hole damage from a missile hit doesn't look teribbly realistic, but then damage is damage.

    Hi I'm not too sure what the status is with the mission creation side of things AFAIK the mission planners are hard at work. I've been busy with some of the aircraft. A huey is nearly finished. next is the puma and the Lynx. Gastovski.. he's alive and kicking over at our forum. Cheers

    Hi guys Just posting the first in game piccy of the Sea Harrier that I've been pottering away at. The harrier handles quite nicely with a joystick, although I can't get the thing up to its max speed. Still needs a bit of work, but at least it has seen the inside of OFP. Once this baby is doing its thing properly, I'll be moving onto the other aircraft in the Falklands Campaign. Next up is an A4 Skyhawk, Pucara, C130, then the Seaking and Lynx choppers. Cheers 8)

    Falklands campaign Update: Some addons will be released before the mod is completed. As the mod is creating new islands, buildings, vehicles and units it is likely to be a rather large mod. Some addons already released are: M79 Skyhawk beta In game and under construction: Lynx chopper Puma chopper Sea King Chopper Mirage Sea Hawk Pucara C130 Scorpion Tank GPMG Land Rover Super Etendard plus units.

    I totally agree with you guys. The OFP car speed is a problem. What I mean the skoda is a slug compared to what it was like in real life. Getting a realistic-stay-on-the-ground-speed is very much a hit and miss problem. A tutorial on setting different vehicle cpps would be a handy tool for car makers.

    The rise and fall of the water inside a boat is a problem that I had to either accept or not build the zodiacs. Land contact was another issue that another OFPer solved for me.

    Sometimes it takes a while for Buldozer to update any changes. When this happens I view a different lod and then switch back to the lod I was working with. This sometimes refreshes Buldozer. The only method I've found that works is my unloading Buldozer then reloading it.

    Can normal humans create mods?

    Hey Rotor All of what these guys have said about modelling is correct. I begun modelling in truespace then in 3d Studio Max. Now I model for OFP in Oxygen. I find it a very good for modelling, and while there is a learning curve, I'm sure if you persist at it you will get the hang of it.. Two years? I doubt it. But exactly how long it will take is entirely up to you. Shortly i will be posting a tutorial on how to build an aircraft in oxygen. The model is made entirely in Oxygen and it took about two hours from scratch to flying in OFP (without textures). In the meantime try the tutorials on the Breathe page, they helped me as I am sure they helped just about all the other 'oldtimers' who were in much the same situation as yourself when Oxygen was first released. Don't hesitate to ask.. it may take a while before someone replies, and if they don't just IM me or send an email.. Welcome to the fold:)

    Thanks for the piccy JAP. I'm updating the cars so I'll post here when they have been done. Also look out for a plain white and plain black Lincoln convertible. Just doing the finishing touches, like ensuring the cars are centre in screen in 3rd person view.

    Hi Jap I'm still experimenting with the suspension settings. I'm not too sure exactly how to adjust them, even after examining other vehicle addons.. Even the AI have problems sometimes.. but then the AI are AI:) The steering wheel was copied from the only photo I could find so if there is enough votes for me to turn it up the other way i will gladly do so.     I've had the big flags on the car using the proxy:flag_auto but the big flag sort of spoils the effect. Getting the flag to stay on the car all the time is another issue. Yes there is a stretched limo version as well. The problem had been four models in one addon which made a rather large pbo file. I've been weeding them out into their own files, making downloads a lot smaller.

    Both downloads will work with Resistance, but only the 1.46 version will work with .. 1.46. I have static flags on the diplomatic version, and I'm experimenting with getting them to flutter like the big one does in ctf missions.

    Custom voices

    Just having a look at adding a new vehicle sound for namesound={}; instead of having the voice say 'tank' or such like I want to add my own custom sound. I see in config.cpp in the commented config files supplied by BIS there is a 'class CfgVoice' section. Has anybody experimented with this? And if you have, how is a new sound called?

    Be able to 'tighten' formations with AI and have them keep up with the leader.
