    No more education 4 me!

Finnished college, no longer do I need to see my student associates. I have been in education since the age of 6-18. Now I leave college and its scary. I just start to get interested in History, I want to learn more but then the exam comes and its all over, no more need for all the notes I have collected, no more need for anything. So all through the Summer now till my interview to get in the forces I have no meaning for life apart from OFP and going down the pub and the occasional odd job. Have you ever been this bored?

    Lag online?

From my experiance of playing OFP online it always lags like hell. & thats without AI. Does resistance lag as badly? What servers do you use to stop the lag? Do you play on Gamespy or what?
  6. OK, so theres a war in Afghanistan, and India & Pakistan are almost at war too. Do we need to add Korea? http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi....694.stm One North Korean warship sank and about 30 sailors were believed to have died. North and South Korean warships have exchanged gunfire near the western sea border, prompting fishing boats to flee the area. Some reports said several South Koreans were injured in the 20-minute clash near the Yeonpyeong island in the Yellow Sea. A North Korean vessel was reportedly towed from the scene in flames. A South Korean Defence Ministry spokesman, Lieutenant Yoon Won-joon, said a more details would be released at a news conference at 1300 (0400 GMT). The incident follows a series of series of border violations North Korean vessels over the past months. On Friday South Korean officials said that two Northern patrol boats briefly crossed the Northern limit line, the de facto but disputed maritime border between the two Koreas, before returning to the North. They said another patrol boat entered South Korean waters on Thursday. Three years ago a series of border violations by North Korean ships sparked the first naval clash between the two Koreas since the end of the Korean War in 1953. I should be a journalist..

    The crocadile hunters first movie

Who would have thought of making a movie about this. What is the storyline going to be? I swear that aussie if crazy, holds a snake about 3 inches from his face and says. "This is the worlds third most deadly snake and 1 drop of its poison can kill a million people." Hes a complete nutcase, I think hes funny as hell though.

I almost got in trouble at work today

I've just left college but I still have my little job cleaning the store down the road for the timebeing. This cute girl that works there approached me with part of her vacuum cleaner, she had some paper or something stuck in there and she wanted to seperate it so she could get it out. Sooooo, she asked me to pull it apart as she wasnt strong enough. Of course, as most guys know, if a cute girl asks you to do something for her because she isnt strong enough then you must do it to prove your manlyness, if you fail then you look like a sissy. Its why in nature the lion has the maine (spelling) and the Stag's have the antlers to charge at each other.. Only this is the modern human equivalent. Then again she might have actually been asking me to seperate the vacuum kus she really wasnt strong enough... So, with this thought in my mind I went at the vacuum cleaner with a primal rage, the only problem was I actually pulled the whole thing apart and broke it Luckily she didnt tell my boss so I didnt get in trouble Have you guys ever done anything dumb to impress a girl?
  12. http://www.alliedassault.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=139488 wow. what a shitty game. the movement is choppy, the controls are confusing and have so many useless buttons, the graphics just plain suck, there is a friggin big ass arm that is blocky and ugly that gets in my way everytime i strafe and aim the other direction, and i can barely see anything or move anywhere, and lack of HUD really tops it all off. Now, if i hadnt spent 40 dollars on this piece of shit i wouldnt be so upset, but since i have its really pissing me off, terribly. does anyone know if best buy would let me return software if i gave a valid excuse. not exchanging titles but giving me store credit at least? this game is so fucking bad i refuse to have it on my 6gb harddrive of my old computer that has 32mb ram, it doesnt deserve to be there. hell, i cant see why so many people like the damned game

What is your most favorite era of war

BTW as for books on modern warfare & special forces I reccomend readint 'Unscathed' by Major Phil Ashby, Royal Marines. On 6 May 2000 Major Phil Ashby's mission as UN Peacekeeper in the war-ravaged Sierra Leone was brought to a voilent end. The notorious rebel soldiers he had worked so hard to disarm restarted the country's civil war, and theur first act was to turn on the UN's representatives, torturing and butchering a number of his collegues and taking over 500 hostages. Ashby and three other Western soldiers found themselves cut off in a small compound in hostile territory, surrounded by rebels who taunted them by throwing the blood-stained uniforms of fellow UN workers over the walls. After four days of physical and psychological bombardment, Ashby took the decision to risk being killed trying to escape rather than be taken alive. So at 2.45 am the next morning, faces blacked with charcoal, his team went over the wall. They were surrounded by rebel troops and outnumbered by at least twenty to one. They were also unarmed. Their chances of escaping alive were very slim. But despite trekking day and night for almost a week without food or water, Ashby somehow found the strength and courage to lead his colleagues on a daring, dramatic and heart-stopping race to freedom through the hostile jungle. He was awarded the Queens Gallantry medal for his actions.

What is your most favorite era of war

I'm interested in just about every war.. The Napoleonic wars, Prussia and Austria vs France at Liepzig and Austria v Prussia at Koniggratz. Also the sea campaigns like the Trafalgar Campaign, Battle of the Nile, Cape St Vincent etc. The Brit colonial wars, South Africa against the Zulu warriors. Not too interested in ww1, though I'm interested in the mess up at Gallipoli and some of the tank battles like Cambrai. World War 2, I don't understand how people can just say they are interested in world war 2, theres so many different parts. I'm mainly interested in: The Battle of Britain Crete/Med North Africa Pacific Atlantic But right now I'm currently researching the Burma campaign. I love this part of the war because people don't know much about it. When someone mentions world war 2 people automatically think of Europe or the Pacific. No wonder they called it the forgotten army. I'm interested in the Gurkhas and how they fared in the deep jungle fighting, I think the Brit pacific fleet later in the war is quite interesting too.

    The story.

The point of this is for everyone to add some text which must be relative to the text added before hand. When you do add some text make sure you end it in a way that makes it easy for someone else to add their part. If it works we could end up with an interesting story. OK, Heres the rules. You can take your text from any references or you can just make it up as you go along, the limit is 150 words per post. Miller nodded, but said nothing. He filled his glass again from the beaker in the middle of the table, lit a cigarette. Mallory could see a nerve twitching high up in his temple and wondered dryly how many twitching nerves Miller could see in his own face. He wondered too, how the crippled Casey Brown was getting on in the house they had just left. In many ways he had the most responsible job of all - and at that critical moment he would have to leave the door unguarded, move back to the balcony. One slip there... He saw Miller look strangely at him and grinned crookedly. This had to come off, it just had to: he thought of what must surely happen if he failed, then shired away from the thought. It wasn't good to think of these things, not now, not at this time..........

I posted about him and what he did a while ago in the 'person I most admire" thread thingy.. The thing they are shooting at there is just a ship target, looks like the top of a U boat He was in the war to from start to finnish, mainly in the Atlantic. He was in the Atlantic convots and the Arctic convoys. He also took part in D-day.
