    Since someone mentioned they looked like the OPFOR from CoD4.. maybe change the beret from black to red and see how that looks?

  4. nevermind, the problem was on my side with creating all the game logics and objects in the editor and naming them correctly. Named one game logic wrong and it fudged entire mission. But still now that I got the enemy to spawn, Im trying to execute a script that will remove their weapons and add a different weapons depending on a variable and then a random number.
  5. ya I havent figured out whats causing the issue, I know the scripts work in OFP because I played mission in that fine and some of the sqs scripts work in OA but it keeps getting caught somewhere. One of the things I find really weird is that within this OFP folder are some SQF files.
  6. Can anyone give me some basic info and pointers on converting scripts from SQS format to SQF? Im trying to port a really old mission from OFP and I have basically recreated every object thats placed in the editor with correct names and have also changed every classname in the script files to arma ones and almost nothing works. I tried to do it already but I just made it worse, its confusing where they put the semicolons and also they are using some other strange way to make the script wait a period of time before continueing other then like sleep 300; I even tried to man up and download one of those scripting tutorials to learn how to rewrite it entirely but I just got lost again. Main problem I am having is the enemies are not spawning so here is a sample of that code from the original mission.
  7. can you post the fired.sqf script? this may be all you need to make it MP compatible addMPEventHandler instead of just addEventHandler
  8. I am trying to figure out how to set it so once blufor fires one bullet they are no longer set captive and will be shot at by OPFOR. I tried finding Xeno's script in domination is all I found? Can someone help me please :)
  9. Hi, I am trying to edit a campaign mission but no matter what I cant find a way to change the identity of the players. Ive gone though almost every script file inside the folder and looked over it and used search to try and find anything about setting their identities but absolutely nothing. Anyone know where identities are set in campaign missions?
  10. ... ya because you can definitly infer that from what I said.. not. There is no new function to the XM8 so thats not even a good analogy , all they did was make it low resolution. I didnt know it was a crime to like how my gun looks while playing a video game that boasts about good graphics.
  11. ya this is bull, I paid for the XM8 content already and now they have taken it away pretty much . Its not like this is going to ruin the game for me, its the principle of it, they shouldnt take away something thats already mine and try and resell it to me. Hopefully BIS just forgot to change classname or something and this will be fixed in the next patch..

    sorry, I must have saw scripting in the forum name and just automatically clicked on it. Ya its not really a problem, I mean the only thing that isnt avaiable to the rest are a couple spec op weapons that I gave to a specific team and I dont mind if they pick that kind of stuff up, I just dont want them to easily gain access to them. thanks this looks like what I need, so the init reset everyones weapons to the default of an m16, and then the refill gives people what they died with? Sorry seems kind of confusing to me that both are giving the player weapons, ill try it out.

Hey, ive been making a mission and I want to make it so players can respawn back at base but I dont want them to have the weapons that there unit would normally have because im trying to limit te weapons everyone uses to like m16a2s etc. I know about Norrins revive thing but I dont want to use that in this mission because I dont want people's bodies to dissapear when they respawn.

    you can do that with chinese tanks in OFP DR.... :D if you had a PC when that came out... ahh remember all that fun? good times.. good times...
  15. I have but one request... someone needs to make a Solid Snake add on. If they want to be the coolest person ever they can make several different units with different camos and of course Big Boss AKA Naked Snake with the eye patch
