Hunt the sniper, hunt the sniper. Balance is not a word that can be applied to this game but yes there are too many snipers & scopes. I know 3 people who have this game (real people, not internetz people) one has the PC version the other two have the PS3 version. They are all sniping. Noobs...

Thats fine for a normal install of a BIS game, this is a Steam install so the launch parameters are not quite the same. My C: Windows7 ArmAII folder has 20.5 mega, all mods & addons nicely packed and in order. The XP HD has a handsome sum of 34.1 mega, all mods & addons nicely packed and in order :eek: No time today but I'll sort it out soon enough. Thanks. EDIT: Works fine thanks. For Steam... "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\take on helicopters\TakeOnH.exe" -mod=@headfree. I bet everybody knew this already except "yours truly":o

I knew it... Why, oh why did I buy through Steam... Made my @headfree with an addons folder containing the pbo, now what ??? Better go and have a look around the forums I guess. Thanks for the mod guys, to be honest I didn't really like the fact that I could "clip" my head out of the cockpit in the CP & beta (?) but I refuse to use the 3D view to land (most of the time :p) so I think this addon is absolutely essential. I still use auto-hover so I'm not that hard-core

This is my position, never played anything BF in my life, it is daunting at first (and still is), realistic ? I hope not. I've found a little trick to ease people into the game without too much pain... In the server filter, there is a field in which to type a server name : type "practice" and hit the refresh and save filter button... Bobs your uncle :). Everybody is learning to fly/tank and shoot and I've been helped and advised by people who know the game and the ins & outs. I was pleasantly surprised by the welcome, something I was not expecting from a 3xA mega game EA Sports thing... There is hope for mankind yet... Good game.

My game crashes when using default vid memory setting, gtx 460 1go , I use high, without any problems. Another thing to look out for is if you had the pre-order beta, it maybe useful to create a new profile, this also gave me crashes. Thanks.

Same card, setting to default gives me problems, when set to high everything works. W7 64bit, E8400, 3 go ddr2 ram.

I thought that PIP referred to the camera image that comes into play with certain missions. The whale mission or The Hand that Feeds for example... Does it refer to the wing mirrors ? Learn something every day !

My game crashed in more or less the same circumstances. I created a new profile and have had no problems since. I have a sneaky feeling it had something to do with the save-game file inherited from the pre-order beta. Also look carefully at the video memory manager in the game options. Default crashes the game for me (ArmA II as well), I have it set to high with no problems. gtx460 1go. Might help, might not.
