  1. Is there any way to allow players in vehicles to capture objectives?
  2. Hello, As most of you probably know, in ACE when you use a vehicle crew seat, your gear gets stowed into the vehicle. That's realistic, but due to several reasons I'm looking for a way to disable that feature. Is there a script or some kind of module that I can use? Thanks.
  3. I would change that text into 'Respawn with LEA loadouts' then.
  4. What do you mean by this? Respawn with the LEA loadouts or with the default ArmA loadouts? It's not very clear.
  5. Hello! Thank you so much for this brilliant tool. Saves a LOT of time. You, sir, are a genius. BIS, pay attention, because this was badly needed in ArmA. A GUI for loadout editing. In fact, the existing editor needs a better GUI as well. Too much scripting required for even the simplest of functions. Nobody wants to deal with this addWeapon BS, or likes to search through a list of classnames. Are you assuming that every mission maker is a programmer? This should be standard in ArmA 3, BIS. Anyway, I have a small problem: LEA recognizes weapon crates as soldier units rather than crates. So I can only apply soldier loadouts (profiles) to crates. Am I missing something or is that an unfinished feature? EDIT: never mind, I should have read payed more attention to the wiki. You have to turn the crate into a vehicle. 6. Hello and welcome to my co-op missions release thread. I have been creating missions for our community for a while now and now I'm ready to release them publically. I strive to make missions that are not only fun but also require tactics and teamwork. Most of my missons are for 14 people or less. Realism is very important to me. You won't see everybody running around with a sniper rifle and an AT launcher in my missions (well, except my first one :P). After all, when it comes to gear and weapon selection soldiers in real life don't get a lot of choice either. Limiting the amount of gear the players have forces them to improvise, use good tactics and 'make do' with what they have. Some of my missions make use of Norrin's revive, but since the release of my mission Airmobile Assault I prefer to use the BIS First Aid Module for a more tactical experience. Revive is great for Domination-like missions, but it also makes people more careless IMO. I have noticed that if people receive only one life per mission, they play much more tactically. Also, if you don't go overboard with the amount of enemies you place, it leaves more room for communication and tactical decisions. I don't limit myself to BLUFOR missions, I also dig OPFOR and Independant stuff. Some of them contain voice acting, but most don't. Many of my missions are inspired by real-life conflicts, though they are all fictional. Anyway, enough talk. Here are the missions! Click on the spoiler buttons to read the entire readme for each mission (also included in the .zip). The @ in the name of the mission means you need a few addons for it. You can find a link to those in the readme. If you find bugs, mistakes or have criticism / ideas to share, please post it here. :) You are free to modify my missions for personal or internal use, but please DO NOT re-release them somewhere else after doing so. You will notice that the missions are made by 'Nimster'. That is my name in another community. Arma 3 engine

I really hope that BIS will do a LOT of optimizing and improving, because the current engine runs far from smoothly. Not saying that it's a bad engine, just that it would give BIS a lot of bad press if they'd keep the same engine and not make it run a LOT better.

Just bought ARMA 2 Combined Operations!

ACE is the most popular mod, ACRE is great as well. But what you really want is to join a fun squad to play the game with. :)
  11. Buzz_Fledderjohn

Nobody plays anymore, atleast for MP

Just join a squad, man... the way ArmA is meant to be played.

Stuff 1985 wish we had by now

Flying cars is still science fiction, but keep in mind that technology can move very rapidly. Much of the technology that we take for granted today was science fiction only a few decades ago. :) Just watch 2001: A Space Odyssey or Stark Trek for example.

We all love a bit of Duke!

The games looks fun IMO. Haven't played it myself yet but to me it seems that if you treat it like a silly Duke game, you won't be disappointed.

    Arma 2 Addon request thread

Does anyone know if there is an addon that adds Venezuelan troops? Generic South-American units would be okay, too. Is there such a thing?
  15. Crosspost from the other thread. Gameplay videos of two Tangodown co-op gaming sessions (spoken in Dutch). Addons used: ACE & ACRE (and the Dutch Army troops in the Chainbreaker video). 16. Video: Conclusion of Operation Chainbreaker campaign New video! The footage below (shot and edited by Zoog) shows TDNL playing the final mission of the Operation Chainbreaker campaign. Mission: to arrest Kardal al Sharif, AKA Jackpot (pic), a corrupt CEO of Shnell oil industries who finances the Takiban and Takistani Army. One of the most wanted men of Takistan. The coalition forces, including TDNL, have been chasing him for months and it was time to capture him once and for all. During Phase 5 of Chainbreaker TDNL managed to capture one of Jackpot's SUVs. In it was a laptop that contained a lead to his location, the southern airbase, the last major Takistani stronghold. He had plans to flee the country along with a big group of Takistani soldiers. The team were to lay an ambush on his escape route near the border and return him to British-owned FOB Sharpe alive. I played Kardal al Sharif, with the AI under my control (~30 men). It was pretty nerve-wracking to sit in the convoy, being driven down the escape route, and then hearing everybody open up on my bodyguards. Bullet cracks all around me. At one point in the video you can see me. So how did the mission / campaign end? Just watch. Enjoy! l2pL18zX-lI&hd=1 Subscribe to our channel PRO-Ops update So, the Beta PRO-Ops are now officially over. What's next? Well, obviously we will keep developing and playing them. The biggest difference between the beta and the 'official' PRO-Ops is that they are now invitation-based. A squad within our normal ArmA team, so to speak. So for those of you who like to get a little bit more serious and tactical, you can join the PRO-Ops team. Joining is pretty easy, you need to have the right mindset and participate in basic training so you know the basic tactics we use. For more info on PRO-Ops read our wiki. We're recruiting! We are always on the lookout for mature Dutch-speaking people who are looking for a nice, fun bunch of people to play ArmA with. Whether you prefer light-hearted gaming sessions or serious tactical gaming, we've got something for everybody. And keep in mind, ArmA is not the only game we play (though 90% of the time we do). Every player is free to organize gaming sessions with other TDNL members. Our philosophy is: playing ArmA should be a nice mix between fun and serious gaming. Tactics and teamwork are very important things for us, but we are not a mil-sim squad! If you like what you see, head on over to Tangodown.nl to sign up. All the info you need can be found there. Don't forget to introduce yourself in our forums!
  17. Hello, Did a search but couldn't find anything. I have a squad of playable units in my mission, which consists of: 4 Alpha fireteam members and 4 Bravo fireteam members. The problem: when I try the mission on a listen server, the teams get all messed up. They're no longer in order, even though I placed the units in the right order (IIRC). It's like this: Alpha rifleman Bravo rifleman Alpha rifleman Bravo rifleman Etc, whereas I want: Alpha rifleman Alpha rifleman Bravo rifleman Bravo rifleman So how do I place the units in the right order without deleting all units and starting all over again (I really want to avoid that, because the units have custom loadouts)? I already tried naming the units alphabetically but that didn't work. It doesn't have anything to do with rank either. BIS really should add a UI that allows people to sort playable units... Thanks.
  18. Update: new gameplay video Recently we uploaded a new mission video to our YouTube channel. Check out the videos below for footage we recorded during a War in Takistan mission, as seen from the perspective of fireteam Bravo. We were tasked with destroying an enemy generator. From now on we will record and upload new videos more frequently. Subscribe to our channel to receive those in your inbox. Addons used: ACE and ACRE. Enjoy! Ongoing development and future plans Next Friday we will play the final mission of the PRO-Ops beta campaign, Operation Chainbreaker. TDNL will be tasked with arresting the HVT, 'Jackpot', and bringing him back to FOB Sharpe in one piece. More info on that can be found here. After Operation Chainbreaker, a new, as of yet unannounced campaign will be played. Additionally, all the info that you need in order to be able to play with us can be found on our website. _a9b2uQRbdY&hd=1 oH0zIYtIpVQ&hd=1
  19. Been a while since I posted in this thread, but I still have the same question. Simply moving the spawnpoint doesn't work. VTS still spawns the spawnpoint on a random place on the map. I just want it to spawn at the place where I placed the spawn... is that possible?
  20. How do I make the West spawn no longer spawn at a random place on the map?
  21. Excellent, thanks for the great work!:) Question: in a previous version of VTS I could use the BIS command-interface to control the AI as the GM, but I can no longer find that option. Does anyone know how to access it?
  22. It would be nice if you could add two slots for Game Master. One mandatory GM, and one optional. Reason: we regularly add a bit of roleplaying to our VTS missions, for example a human player who acts as a civilian hostage. This is fun, but the big downside is that the 'actor' who plays the hostage has to sit in a room for one and a half hours before the players rescue him. This can be a bit boring for the actor so giving him Game Master functionality would be great.
