    The Iraq thread 4

No, from the last two posts of his, which are in my eyes regarding that they are coming from a same author slightly contradicting. And from some other things which are not so important to be brought out. I know that, no one is disputing this. Please don't make me to repeat or god forbid to justify myself, I'm not in a mood for this, especially not in this thread. Well dude, I don't see much wrong in that quotation; this is their way of thinking; we 'liberated' you, we'll help you but now you must learn to live (practice the democracy) by yourself, we can't constantly wipe your asses. And I knewed this conflict will be 'vietnamized' long ago, even before the war has started (when Bush prepared american public on the war with his 'weapons of mass destruction' speaches), and I hope it's obvious why. Now Afghanistan and Sudan is a different matter from Iraq? People, your principles and points of view are totally messed up. Or you're a bird or you're a mouse ... Or you're a bat (not a bird not a mouse). Every child knows (I hope) why Americans are in Iraq. And why the recent race for the ownership over the Northern Pole (and his riches) has begun.

    The Iraq thread 4

@Balschoiw - You and people like you should to decide inside yourself what the hell you want from The Americans in the first place; if you want them to leave Iraq as you unresposibly wishing with all your fibers, and to leave it in and to total chaos *read to a bloodshed with which the present massacres would look like a child's play*, or to stay and try to restore the order as much as possible before they retreat. You see, you can't have both. And to stay is a hard, responsible decision and task, very hard task, much harder than many of you are thinking (I would like to see your competence and solutions and actions in such complicated an volatile situation, and how you would deal with such responsibility), you're able just of throwing here the news about the last massacre, and then everything to hang on the american's back. Total hipocricy. They (The Americans) are to blame for every broken water pipe down there aren't they, for every damn hole on the road and for the roads not been paved, for every not rebuilded house, for every car bomb, for every death, for every innocent victim, for not being a sunny day in Iraq. Well, liked or not, they aren't. If you didn't noticed this recent attack were religiously motivated, so what The Americans should do, start (with force) to convert those religious fanatics into some other, more 'peaceful' religion? To put them away - to attack and kill or capture them and then lock them in Guantanamo? To pacify/invade every neighboring country which is sticking their fingers and messing around in Iraq? Yea it's that 'simple' ... Spot on, I ´d say. Wrong, the sentence bellow sums up best what has and is going wrong in Iraq, despite it's coming from the White House, and I beleive to your shock is not a cartoon statement but a hard cash reality:

First off martinovic, I don't need any education, especially not coming from you, your posts here are also one among the most ridiculous ones. YES Total bull. Can't understand such twisted thinking, to picture the whole nation as savages with some pervert bloodthirsty habits and rituals, and this from those which otherwise are trying to justify and to explain some other sick doings like the terrorist attacks ... but on the other hand, it fits into the picture. They do, in Iraq. Again, a total bull. And how to answer on such "They do, in Iraq" claim? Ah, I have it; "No they don't, not even in Iraq!" Overthere it is common sense to kill the guy. The situation is that bad. The agitation by Al Qaida has helped amplify the bad mood even further. Well look how simple is that, simple beyond any sain comprehension. It must be nothing but animals down there, killing and eating each other ... And don't talk about common sense anymore, not after this "overthere it is common sense to kill the guy" 'fact' of yours. If you can't understand such doing cannot be common sense no matter where, no matter the reason and circumstances, then you're a lost case too. I don't need to see the arab point of view here. In fact it's quite simple, even more simple from your picturing; I won't go into any deep and long essay why all shit is happening as is happening but very shortly, all that ordeal in Iraq after the aggression is nothing but a struggle for gaining power and the influence over this country's carcass or over the part of it, beginning with Sunis and Shiits and Curds, Syrians, Iranians down to Al Qaeda. And of course The Americans. So these new massacres are not "the exact same in nature", far from it. But I'm used and in fact expecting such blindness from some. Yes! It was! It's gone now. Well martinovic, there's just no end of yours short and deep facts or rather saying truths ... I just don't know what to answer on such statements, I really don't, your way of thinking is just too much out for my comprehention, so I'll rather pass. And you've left out the last and essential part of the sentence e.g. you fail to absorb it so you've ignore it, but as already mentioned above I'm used to such things (from some) here in this thread. That's naive. http://www.guardian.co.uk/Iraq/Story/0,2763,1206725,00.html That's a mild story, only got light shed on it because of US soldiers involved. Just because you've "outsourced" torture to other corporations than the US military doesn't mean you are not doing it. Read: they're torturing information out of captured iraqis. No mate, you're naive as hell to say it mildly, because you obviously don't even know what that tyrant Saddam and his apparatus was able and what has done, and you're talking and comparing here a few tortures during the interrogation, and few killings and rapes with Saddam's 'work' e.g. way of ruling ... You obviously didn't undertanded the meaning of that quote, which is shame, because it's not so long neather hard to understand. Shit that was deep man. The best sentence from you.

    The Iraq thread 4

? ? ? ? ? What kind of sick BS is this? Welcome to Iraq? Why, is such a behaviour part of a family tradition, part of a folklore down there? Or this is a common behaviour of the ruler? Friendly, generous and warm-hearted or even moderately sain leaders don't get such a treatman, do they. And that about the stick ... Jesus!!! The only measurement here should be a common sense, and a common sense use a same logic on any corner of the world! Those 'new' massacres are totally different in their 'nature', of course you don't see this, you're obviously a champion of a cold and heartless generalising. Indeed, how ludicrous. This is not worthed even to comment. And Christians been able to practice their own beliefs, like this was some special gift, a gesture of unpresidented generousity from Saddam, not a common standard of freedom of religious practicing in the rest of the sain and above all free world. Wrong, the ONLY political party in the land. You blind hypocrit; with Saddam's 'means' and the way of ruling the Coalition would restore an order in the country in no time. How can you know that as is more than obvious you don't have the slightest clue about anything. Were those a statists celebrating on the Bhagdad's streets the Saddam's overthrown from the power? I already hear you saying "Bah, those were those traitorous, selfish, ungrateful Shiits". The real question here is that they didn't deserved to be 'liberated'; if you can't or you're not able to liberate yourself from the oppression, then you're not worthed of the free living, and certainly not worthed to be liberated by others, and you 'deserve' the the ruler you have. Persian democracy in Iran? You're a lost case, definately. But of course, you, I, we the westerns are to blame for anything and everything bad going down there on the Middle East and of course elswhere on the world. But I must admit in this quote of yours is the only sentence in your post that have a shread of a common sense in it, but still it's generalising and simplifying beyond any sain belief. Is revolting me even to read not yet to comment such crap like this post, but I'll make an exception in your case. I had in mind to comment just with one strong sentence this puke material of yours, but I changed my mind because you're not even nearly worthed to gain me a WL.

How do you know that, and even for a fact, are you with them? Or are you some psychic and you can read their minds? Assumptions are not facts, and if you can't see from their statement which Chops has provided how 'much' they have to do with Iraq, then I can't help you mate; there's not one mention of Iraq in that statement (it's "all over the world" and the message is not we're Iraqi's, but we're muslims), the statement is generalised on 'we against them'. Who we? Who them? Go figure ... You know about them what you know, and I know about them what I know. I know they're nothing but a religious fanatics and fundamentalists which have NOTHING to do with Iraq, this is just their excuse (you're saying motivation), if would not be Iraq it would be then Afghanistan or it would be Pakistan or Saudi Arabia or Sudan or Western Bank or Gaza or Izrael or Great Satan (USA) or Spiderman or Donald Duck ... Of course I would pick up a weapon and defend my country, but you see, defending your country, your doorstep, is something totally different from those terrorist attacks, I would not 'defend' my country in London or in New York, killing an innocent people, I would be then worse as they, I would be then the lowest criminal - a terrorist. And I'm repeating again, THOSE WERE NOT IRAQI'S, THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IRAQ.

    The Iraq thread 4

Maybe you're even right here thou I very doubt it; those weren't some Iraqi's or even iraqi freedom fighters or name them whatever you want and try to connect them with Iraq however you can. Were there any political statement (that I'm not awared of) before or after those terrorist attacks which connects them with Iraq? If not (or even if yes), then what on earth have those terrorists in common with Iraq? Are they connected with it thru the religion then? It's idiotic even to think on such way, and they are certainly thinking on such way. So was really their goal to force the brits to retreat from Iraq? I think that was not the main reason at all, as was not in/with Spain; what is Al Qaeda to be Iraq's caretaker? True, after the spain's retreat there were no more terrorist attacks. For now... The point is; I think it would be not much different if the USA and the west in general would leave the muslim world completely alone and on their own, only the 'reasons' (which are hiding the real goal) would change; the 'discrimination' of the muslims and their 'rights' in the western world, all sorts of 'insults' of muslim religion and so on, but in fact a deep hatered towards the western world, its culture and its way of living would be reason enough for those fanatics and extremists to kill an infidel or to plant a bomb. In fact we already have all this; one caricature which 'insults' islam (btw, we have tons of worst caricatures which are 'insulting' the christianity and lately also Jewes in iran's newspapers, we have a denial of a holocaust from Iran's president Ahmadinejad...) sets hundreds of american and other flags into flames throughout the muslim world (I can't even imagine the reaction if american citizens would masively set on fire Iran's and Pakistan's flags for instance); it looks almost like a war state. We have fatwa's, a holland journalist(or writer) was murdered on the street just because he 'insulted' islam... So ... "poor, not happy nor blessed are those who are in bliss of their heart's kindness, but in truth deceived with a vail of denial over their eyes, and slain on the altar as sheeps".

    The Iraq thread 4

Well, I won't go now with asking "what about all those London bombs in past couple of years and recently?" and with some other questions which are rising by themselves from your answer. And people should stop to mix or merge September 11th with Iraq and the rest of current global and political situation; that 'operation' was planned long before and it took years for them to implement it, and its original intention was to provoke western attack on Afghanistan (which happened) and to inflame a global muslims vs. unbeleivers conflict (which didn't happened). So, by such plain logic like I meet in this thread from some people here all the americans must do is to elect the president which will then withdraw the troops from Iraq (and leave it to Al Queda), and Saudi Arabia and all states which are muslim(???), and they will have peace from fanatical muslims and their jihad. If only would be so simply... Of course I do agree; americans shouldn't be in Iraq in a first place. But now it's too late...

    The Iraq thread 4

I see this is more than just an 'Iraqi' thread so; It'll be very interesting to see, when/if the time will come, when the americans will leave all to be (so they can make their nuclear bombs and ballistic rockets in peace or to purchase them from Russians), and only the american justice system, their basic rights and the members of White House's staff will be those who will attack the United States, if the terrorists will leave them alone then. Do ya think it'll be so? I don't, I'm not so naive. People dont attack others for no reason. Â Ask yourself what the reason may be This is true as it is bull. For Hitler some deep personal frustrations were enough to hate the Jewes and to perform a holocaust, and his political frustrations from WW1 were enough to start a second WW and cause millions of deaths, but in fact he had no reason. As doesen't have such reasons those muslim fanatics and extremists, but they have a plan and agenda. Ask yourself what plan and agenda that might be.

Hm hm hm ... on this forum is obviously a very thin line what's considered as spamming and what not ... or this vary from the member's position and reputation? The only real difference I see here is a bit more juicy language in a first post. Anyway, this song (and the band) wast the first song to which I listened as the music should be heard (was very young and I just opened my senses to the world). The song already had some patine on it if you catch my drift, but still it made quite an impact on me. Sigh, those were great times for some great music ...

    code No, there's no such code. You can use setCombatMode with distance code in trigger's condition thou: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">tank1 distance tank2 < 300

Yea I'm sure it was. But you did some effort in searching so half is forgiven.  Use a setCombatMode command, like <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">unitname setCombatMode "red" What the colors means: blue - never fire green - hold fire white - hold fire, engage at will yellow - open fire red - open fire, engage at will

    Beta testing is a joke.

@Baddo - My apologies if you feel offended by my comment, there were no such intention. But people differs here, so I don't feel offended by your statement that I don't have experience or understanding of development projects. I won't go deeper into this because is off-topic, also don't have the will for it, but I think it's not my fault if not the best example -to 'understand' and to justify the dev's lack of willing to face and to correct the bugs/errors which were found?- was picked and not well presented by you. It's understandable that such new and unexpected 'features' might change the project's schedule and put some pressure on the available/remaining time, but every good project have an added time window for such circumstances, and if not, then mostly and because of it some, often rotten and quality damaging compromises must be maded. And some are striving to perfection/ism, no matter for the world around them, and some not. You must be talking with ArmA in mind here ... Or this are just some empty assumptions with not much sense in it?

    Beta testing is a joke.

Thanks Sputnik Monroe for this info, this shines some more light on all ordeal with the recent new games and their state of publishing, and as it seems on the upcoming games also. There's nothing much to add, and this revealing was not necessary for me personally, I know and understand it for a some time now what's going on in gaming industry. I was a beta tester for some game back then when such practice was nothing but a heresy among the developers and publishers alike, when the games were beta tested until they were like flawless, and those times are not so way back. @Baddo - I just hope your involvement in development project is not in bridge or building constructing, because I would never like to cross the bridge or live in a building where you have been involved/worked in developing project e.g. such way of 'working'.

Is ArmA Slower Compared To OFP ?

And if we're talking about AI (a feature under the gameplay term) then yes, ArmA is slower ...
  20. Black Sphere

    Punching.

Nothing what with a little scripting can't be done. But if you want to do it on a more 'fancy' way ... Â Well, then maybe you should do something -for instance some more easier missions for starters- what you can 'chew' right now, to learn and to gain some expirince, you can't expect that someone will always guide you like a 9 year old, such things can be a painstaking jobs (we're not in the same room you know ), and people don't have a time for it (at least I haven't), neather the will. Â And reading some tutorials also can't hurt.

Such features makes missions spooky, not hard. And this 'hardest' vary from player to player, anyone has his own 'list' (for instance Gothic 2 NotR IMHO is harder from some games on that list) so, boooooring.
