  1. I want to make some new reticles for the rifle scopes, starting with the M24. Â But when I open up "m24_crosshair_ca.paa" all I see is a couple of black boxes, or one big black box, depending on if I discard mipmaps or not. Â Is this the right file to be editing, and if not which one is it? Â I tried all of the M3A .paa's and the M24 .paa's. Â Any help would be greatly appreciated. I guess while I'm asking, what about the M107, Mk12, SVD and KVSK?

    ArmA Custom Faces For Free

wipman, those gloves are almost perfectly what I was asking for (rolled up cuff on the flight glove, fingers cut out...). Do you think you can make it so the thumb is covered, though? Just the pointer finger (trigger finger) is cut out? I really like it, this is the one I'm using right now. Thanks!

    Tank Fire Control Systems

Ok, I'm stumped. I'm using a bunch of NWD mods, so I would figure this to work. I tried disabling every mod but this one, in multiplayer. Really, I don't care about the tanks models, as cool as they seem to be. I just can't get the range finder to work. This is one of my favorite mods, as it makes ranging targets for long-distance shots much easier. I can't even get it to work in single player. I tried a lot of things, including running just this mod, and disabling all others. I'm not having any luck. I would appreciate any help.
  4. I've found a bug with this mod, after many hours of playing. When I play with a revive script, not a respawn, my site adjustment doesn't work. I can't get it to work again, either. Dropping my rifle, grabbing an AK, etc, doesn't work. It seems to happen with any revive script, so I'm not sure it's the scripts, I believe it's this mod. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Fixes, even more so!

    Durg's Vegetation Fix

No, this mod does not work with any other vegetation/tree/bush mod except for Kegetys "lowplants". Â Even then, the instructions are quite specific about how to install them both. Yeah, that's what I used, but I still got this error.

    Durg's Vegetation Fix

I just installed this mod and the shorter vegetation mod, and after the first time I launched ArmA I was greated with an error: "Warning: preNLOD format in object ca\plants\palm_03.p3d" Is there any solution for this? Thanks.

    ArmA Custom Faces For Free

wipman, I read through this whole thread, and I have to say you've done a great job with all of these faces. I wish I could help contribute, but I don't have photoshop and even if I did, I wouldn't know where to begin. I would like to make a request, if you don't mind. I really like your camo faces, so I was wondering if you wouldn't mind making a similar face, leaving the arms bear and including just the standard nomex flight gloves on the hands, with the cuff rolled up and the trigger finger cut out? I would really appreciate it!
  8. There are a few ways, one is to figure it out using the map. That's one of the easiest ways...the smallest grid distance on the map is 200m, so you can estimate with that. The second is to establish a known distance, either using the map, or a previous shot, and then estimate based on that. Use your mil-dot sight, calculate the height of your target (1.8m average for a human target), multiplied by 1000 and then divided by the apparent height of your target in mils. (Height*1000)/mils. This can be hard, so you have to estimate very accurately. Being off by a fraction of a mil can put you off by several meters, and in turn a few MOA estimation, missing that crucial shot. The final way is just by gut feeling. You just "know" how far he is, based on experience. There are always more ways that other experienced shooters will be able to tell you, but those are my preferred methods.
  9. NWD - You know, for some reason I never checked into the M3 knobs. Â I have the Mark 4 with M1 knobs on my rifle, but never bothered to see the difference between the two. Â The M1 has 1/4 increment adjustments, the M3 does not, as you've said. Â I was fully aware of the scope used on the M24, I just didn't realize there was a difference in the knobs other than the profile. Now to consider...do I want a mod accurate to the true M24, or one accurate to my personal rifle... I appreciate all your work, by the way. Â Your mods, accompanied with this mod, is perhaps the best combination of realism mods I have used. Â Off topic, have you been able to find any data on the M118LR yet? Â I see in your readme that you haen't used data on it, but feel it's accurate. Â If you need some data, I probably have some lying around.
  10. I just installed the latest (.4b) version, deleting the old version in my normal "addons" folder, and installing this one cleanly. I have been using the MOA adjustments, since that's the way it's done on a rifle. The previous version allowed me to use quarter-MOA incriments to adjust my scope, but for some reason this version only allows me to use 1 MOA incriments. Is there any reason for this, or should I revert back? I really love the rane card, but it's not worth it to me to loose my quarter-moa adjustments. I didn't see any change about this in the change log, or on this forum. I wouldn't mind 1 MOA adjustments for the M4 and M-16, since that's the way it is, but for the M24 it should most definitely remain quarter MOA. Anybody have any advice on how to get it back?
