  1. Awesome! Looking forward to it!
  2. Just downloaded, looking very good. Well done on all the hard work so far. Couple of things I've noticed, really just nitpicks. The Stoner 63 model has the 150 round drum, but is presently being used with 100 round belts, and the M16A1 and carbine models have a brass deflector bump that is not present on the actual weapons (it was part of the A2 and C7 upper receivers, not the A1 and earlier). Keep up the good work, I'm very impressed.

No, it's a non existant designation for a very rare combination of parts. M733 doesn't exist as a Colt designation, nor a .mil one. Neither does M727. It's an airsoft marketing creation. So, what is Colt's 11.5in 1/7 twist, fixed sight carbine designated? By Colt, it was given the designation RO733. In the US military, it was given the designation of CARBINE 5.56MM M16A2 MOD 733, with an associated NSN (and replacement parts also were allocated NSNs), but it was never documented as 'M733'. Given there was no M733 and no M733E1, logically (and documentarily) there is no M733E2. There's also no XM733 or derivatives thereof. It may have unofficially been called CAR15, but so was every other carbine before the XM4, and every time I've seen 'CAR15' appear in an OFP/A1/A2 mod, I cringe a little bit inside because it's such a vague description. If it's got a proper military designation, it's a good idea to use it. If it doesn't (and COTS purchases like the RO727 and RO733 fit into this category), use the manufacturer's designation. This means the RO653, RO723, RO727 and RO733 would be missing a proper shorthand military designation but still be 'correct'. Of course, there may need to be consideration given to early, middle and late model updates (723 pencil barrel early, 723 pre-M4 barrel late, etc) if you're going around demanding variations and combinations that aren't very common. A2 uppered RO733 carbines do exist, in exceedingly small quantities that were produced very late in the model's life, most probably not as whole rifles but as upper receivers. These are slightly less rare than rocking horse excrement in comparison to the other variations. There are also A1 uppered RO733s from very early on in production. But the vast majority, greater than 95%, are A1E1 (otherwise known as C7) uppers.

WTF is an M733E2? Are you confusing the 733 and 629/XM177E2? They're not the same.
  5. Any chance of changing the M16 and CAR15 models to ones that don't have the shell deflector? Love absolutely everything else about the mod, though! You are doing absolutely fantastic work.

    Vilas' addons

Ok, the error I reported earlier wasn't actually a sound problem. Funny how hard it is to think at 4am, huh? Anyway, the error is actually that the recoil isn't working. I'm getting an error saying "No entry bin\config.cpp/CfgRecoils.vil_762natoRecoil" for the FAL and a similar one for the XM177. Haven't played much with the other weapons yet.

    Vilas' addons

I've installed the vibi pack, the bandit pack and the basic weapons pack. Do these work with your old Vietnam era pack? The reason I ask is that I get sound errors. It can't find the right gunshot sound, so it comes up with an error message. Also, the M14 doesn't recognise its own ammunition. I had half a dozen magazines, and they didn't work with the rifle. Aside from that, you've done really well. Wish I had even half your talent!

    1.14 Install Issue

After I gave up on ArmA 12 months or so ago, I wiped all the addons. The addons that I tried this time were all re-downloaded. I do have good news to report. I went and uninstalled it, and discovered a few folders that were left. I assume that a file in one of these leftover folders was interfering, because after I wiped those files and did a reinstall to 1.08, it worked alright. I still have a couple more mods to try, but the ones that I thought were causing the problem turned out to be alright. I'll report back here if the other addons cause problems though. Thanks for the help, folks.

    1.14 Install Issue

Yes, I own a legal version. Red Ant published Australian version. Un-Armed Assault is exactly what it is like. Well, except that everyone keeps their pistols. Even with the RH pistol mod. I was having this problem a year ago, and it coincided with a few issues with Vilas' addons, like no picture displayed for weapons in the gear screen ingame, and that sort of thing. I walked away after I ran out of patience. Daniel, I'm doing the uninstal/reinstall thing tonight. I'll patch to 1.08 and then add a single mod and test. Any suggestion on what that mod should be?

    1.14 Install Issue

Already done it. No errors. The only way to sort it I think is to do it all again, and install every addon one at a time. Very frustrating. Strange that I'm the only one it is happening to. Are there any registry keys I should be manually deleting before I reinstall?

    1.14 Install Issue

Thanks MadDogX. It's a boxed version, and I've tried patches 1.05, 1.07, 1.08 and now the 1.12 beta. Happens in all patches.

Within 5 seconds of starting a mission, they are putting their rifles and ammunition on the ground. Haven't even bothered going near the water.

    Wip-m4a1's pack v1.0

What you've got here is very close to the Mk18. The Mk18 is an M4A1 with 10.3in barrel, RIS or RAS, a BUIS of some description, mostly of the chopped carry handle type, and an aimpoint. ACOG is probably overkill for a short barrel carbine, but you're doing nice work.
  14. This is something that drove me away from the game 12 months ago, as I couldn't resolve it. In every addon I use (the Vilas addons, RH pistols and the ADF addon), every soldier carrying a rifle that isn't vanilla ArmA, drops his rifle and ammo. Pistols stay on the unit, but rifles are dropped. Any guesses why?
  15. Would you guys ever be interested in a retro mod? Like a '70s CT unit mod? With your talents, I'm sure you'd do a fantastic job of it.
