    Large qualty mp missions

    1) We are from 24 to 32 peoples that meets 6 to 8 times a year to play OFP MP. We don't play quake alike or death match types of game. Up until now we usually consist of 15 to 25% newcomer every time. We use 15 minuttes before the match (30 min) and 15 min afterwards for debriefing. Planning and evaluating is equally fun versus playing the game (my opinion) We need good missions for 32 player or up, where the strategy and planning is important to win the game. Leave out the cut scenes and user made addons. Personally I don’t understand why variously user group rank cinematic as a plus’s factor. It’s nice the first time only. 2) Is there a roundup when it comes to socket or direct play when you are 32 or more players on Lan. Last time (last in may) we played with 1,49 beta as standalone server.To the next event we all have bought Restiance. But as I have understood people have various experience with sockets when over 20 ppl. Is this correct. I don’t whish to experiment when there is so lot on stake. Last question. Many aspect with cfg etc is coverd when it comes to internet MP. But ther is near NIL info when it comes to LAN configuraton. I understand OFP default values is based on internet games. Has anyone made a script or something to convert these values to LAN? If so I’m eager to get my hand on this. I hope I don’t ask to much.

    Captivated audience

    At the outpost you can outsmart the T72 crew and get inside the T72. Find you angel from the woods and then sprint and mount the T72. Afterwards the rest is easy, some way to easy maybe.

    Co-op on a lan help

    With this setting we was 14 people and used dedicated server 1.46 on an Pentium IV 1Ghz, 512Mb RAM and win2000. We also used a 10/100 Mbit switch. The mission was a flag mission designed for 16 players. Our server fps was between 9 and 20. The cpu load was 100%. The network I think had more or less nothing to do. Conclusion our lag was CPU spesific, I think. MaxMsgSend="256"; MaxSizeGuaranteed="512"; MaxSizeNonguaranteed="64"; MinBandwidth="10000000"; MaxBandwidth="60000000"; Next time we used the same setting but had changed our server to AMD XP 1800+. This time I thought it would come 20 people so the mission was modified for that aspect in mind. Only 12 came, none of the AI was disabled. When zooming you could see warping but else it was smooth. Mostly it’s people that's warp and not the tanks it seems. This time #monitor reported 10 fps all the time. The cpu load was 100%. The funny thing we all said the game did run smoothly enough. I wonder if this setting is good for the network but bad for the cpu load. If so there should be possible to find a better configuration. But with 14 to 19 others to care for I don’t like messing around with it to much. Sorry I couldn’t help, but this is our figures.

    List of bugs in 1.46

    Cosmetic: Fire a sabot at an empty tank, afterwards you go out ant choose "get in" inside damaged tank, then your icon (bottom left corner) turns red. Fear enough the tank isn’t so healthy anymore. If you choose to get out you are still red. This way they may simulate and encourage you to stay away for burning tings, but personally I think it’s a bug. Because if this happen you will also be red after you has been healed at a hospital tent or what so ever. Sometimes your status continue to be red also after you have respawned. This happen in MP mission when you are officer. I don't know if it's valid for other circumstances. Mvh Řyvind

    Is resistance an addon or a new game?

    I hate to admit it, but I have mixed feeling about the coming release of the resistance addon. We are 15 - 20 regular people that meets monthly for playing MP OFP. Of all I am stuck with the low end machine. PIII 500, 768Mb ram and KyroII. All the others will buy the resistance addon for sure, and where will it leave me. Out of MP? I may try to upgrade to GF4 (it's still too expensive I think), but mostly I don't think it will help enough. My old PIII isn't capable to fuel the GF4 card. My daughter is 4 year, she is not old. My Pc is 2,5 year and it's old - try to explain that to my wife. No way.

    When making a mission

    I have gone trhoug what I think is all the post about loadout and description.ext in this forum. The Q1: how do I edit loadout? This is answered several times and ref to ofpeditingcenter tutorial are shown. If anyone try it I think they will be disappointed. There are some ";" errors there and so on, and they don't address Q2 and Q3. Q2: How do I make adjustment in the loadout and make it count for all MP players. This hasn't been decent answered. Workaround with different group leaders before join seem to be the only answer. Q3: How do I make sure that East weapon only can be selected by the East team, and vice versa - West weapon for the West team. This hasn't been answered. Can BIS help with Q2 and Q3 please Vennlig hilsen Řyvind Husum

    Sitting on top of vehicle after getting in

    I have not shared body with anyone i OFP, but last time we had MP OFP party I was able to mount a T80 when the east AI crew was standing outside. 1 sec after I got inside I was part of a East/West team. The T80 had got one East commander and one West driver. I was unable to change my position, but I could drive over all East guy's I was abel to locate. When I got out the tank, my East crew did the same. I got inside again, I'm sorry but my ex commander was unlucky when he somhow was joined with the surronding. The odd thing, when all was over. I had zero kills. One other thing. The "Oh 2 is down" ... and so on is no fun, get rid of the message after it is told over 5 times. Why can AI crew join a T80 with you, when you are hindred from doing the same, if they got in first? Vennlig hilsen Řyvind
