  1. Does anyone have an example of a waypoint script that I can use for this addon I have it working except for the fact that the chopper stays at the site after the drop off any help with this waypoint script would be great

Ok guys I found the problem well its me being a NOOB I didnt realize that they had to taxi all the way down one side and run up the next side never realized that, however now i got flight, BUT this landat command made the one airplane just cirlce over the airport for awhile while my other aircraft ran their waypoints and landed. so i have a few more questions if you dont mind. A) when I gave my last waypoint to a squadron to have the land I used the getout waypoint what else could I use as to have them actually do the landing maybe refuel and then take off again kind of like a air patrol? see the getout waypoint they got out drew their guns and went prone which looked stupid to me. I want them to land stay seated or get out maybe have the plane refule and then cycle or do it all over B) The landat command how exactly does one use it in the init line of the unit or in the waypoints? C) anyone got any ideas of how to write my trigger for fuel truck as it kind oif would have to be a variable of when the planes were in a certain radius yes?? Ps thanks for all of the help guys its really appreciated
  3. I dont know wether or not your cordinates were backwards but I just did that and the plane turned around and took off down runway buit it still never left the ground was pretty funny actually but i must admit i am getting frustrated

I dont see any type of advance way point I only see these Move Destroy Get in Seek and destroy Join Join and lead Get out Cycle Load Unload Transport unload Hold Sentry Guard Talk Scripted Support Get in next Released I add the move waypoint and try to get the plane to fly and It rolls down the runway and never leaves the ground. I dont have any idea of what i could be doing wrong?

  6. Can the setTerrainGrid 50 command be set for different values in specific areas while letting the rest of the map be default?

Ok I am having a problem getting choppers or planes to fly any type of waypoint pattern, Tanks and soilders work just fine. however when i add aircraft to the map and give it some waypoints the plane or chopper just goes to the first one, the plane never leaves the ground the chopper will, choppers will also respond to flyinheight orders but wont advance to the second waypoint and I have no idea as to why. I have searched these forums and utubes and I am not finding anything like this?? Please help

I am starting a new map and trying to get down some basics so this is basically brand new no enemy exsists only the airplanes and or choppers I put them down and when I do I add way points the first one is usually get in then move , move, move then I try to preview it the only other parameters I add is a flyin height so i can see it clearly. The choppers fly to the specific height and stay there never moving to the waypoints and when planes are used they taxi slowly to the first waypoint never leaving the ground they dont go to second waypoint
  9. I am looking for a way to assign a couple of planes where i have them start on a run way run a pattern of waypoints and land again. I started with one plane and tried to run the waypoints with a flyinheight of 100 feet so i could see it overhead as it passed the plane never leaves the ground he just rolls down runway slow and never leaves the ground i added the flyinheight command in the activation line on both the way points and the unit itself the name of the plane was plane2 so in the initialization line i put plane2 flyinheight 100 I believe thats right from what I have read here I am no scripter so in answering this thread please dumm it down so i can follow what to do. but i basically just want this airstrip to look active and igve the player a ambient feel for being on an airfield. Thanks again for any help
  10. Thanks to both of you yes i did typo the sps spf in original post I was using the correct format which was sqf,, The fillcrate command worked great Does anyone know what the Null0 or the VM in the term "execVM" stands for why are they used?

    I was able to dig up something here in forums it is not what I was looking for but it will work setTerrainGrid 50 gets rid of the grass but it does so all over the map I would have liked that if I could have made it a small radius and made the rest of the map default the way it was.
  12. I dont think i'll ever use steam again I never had this problem with a regular purchase I can not seem to find the mission files that i download from other servers. All I do find is the empty folders where the files once were even if i alt tab out i only find the folder none of the files someone please help.

  14. I have a copy of the game that I bought from steam and its starting to annoy the shit out of me things I took for granted in stand alone games they are messing with. Like does anyone know where to find a mission I download from a server co-op or regular multiplayer I look in C:\Documents and Settings\Sean\My Documents\ArmA 2\Saved\mpmissions and there i see the folders buyt they are empty. I dont know how to find these missions.??? Any help?? Thank in advance

    AI Tutorial

    Are there any guides available anything been written to make the AI smarter? I would like to practice making missions single player I have been away from the game for a long while now and when I was playing the AI was not that great. I would like to try and make some single player missions that are built on squad play with very usable AI. Does anyone have any pointers or articles they might point me too for using my AI to the fullest when playing.
  18. Can the missions wizard be used to make templates? I notice that alot of new missions have these very simple breifings they look very much like the wizards however, I tried to export by moving the files and no Luck. This is something I think would be very helpful for many beginer mission makers as we could learn alot at a slow pace and still put out pretty nice missions. It might even save many experienced missions makers time. So please let me know if this can be done?

    Ok we are almost talking the same language I want to alter exsisting tanks and armour values on the tanks trucks and the rocket launchers I want to wrap up these values and create a pbo. Yes I have a server for just clan members to play on with the ability to get the addons. So can an addon be the armour values themselves.

  23. I have a map that is pretty much done but when testing it, sometimes people will spawn at the wrong base. East will spawn at west and vice versa. It is random and doesnt happen all the time. Has anyone experienced this
  24. Is there a way to auto level walls that are laid down?
  25. Ok Markers marked respawn west instead of respawn_west can randomly spawn you at either LOL
