I've seen a lot of posts about artillery and how to control the impact it has on the game. How about manual artillery. I'm sure an artillery script is possible. Where you have to get an azimuth and range from the guns to the target and then give your AI the firing info. It would be similar to the old pocket tanks game where you had to set the power and elevation of the shots. That would most likely take several attempts to hit a specific area and give the opposing team time to locate enemy guns. Since this is a military simulation it just seems like there should be more to calling an artillery strike than clicking a spot on the map. I'd love to hear other ideas on the subject. Edit: I guess I didn't look hard enough. I found exactly what I was looking for here. Manual Artillery

SightAdjustment (windage+elevation)
Beef_Wellington replied to gmJamez's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Thanks gmJamez this is a great addon. I've been doing some testing to see just how far you can shoot without any modification to the orginal config. 1,786 meters seems to be the max if you want to put your round on the crosshairs with the default 70 MoA max elevation adjustment. Here is a quick video of my results. I'm curious to see if anyone can hit moving targets with any degree of consistancy past 1000 meters. -
Cannot Install Download Version
Beef_Wellington replied to Aldemir's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
Have you tried downloading without your Download Accelerator? I believe I saw something when I downloaded about there being an issue with using DAP. That's all I can offer. -
Here's a post on the same issue Multiplayer Crash post Check it out.

Multiplayer does not work cause of Kernel32.dll
Beef_Wellington replied to Fox86's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I have the same issue. Single player, Campaign work great, but when I try to join multiplayer I crash to the desktop and get this error message. I bought the dl version from Morphicon. I've already had issues with the sound drivers that came from ASUS so I switched to the Nvidia audio drivers and that allowed me to actually play the game. I'm leaning towards my motherboard as being the problem. Who else is having issues with Asus MOBOs? particularly the A7N8X series. I've updated all drivers and I'm not sure what to do next. Anyone have any ideas? SYSTEM SPECS -Asus A7N8X-Deluxe -AMD Athlon 3200+ -1GB DDR 400 -Nvidia 7800GS -WD 120GB ATA Update 12-08-2006 OK I figured it out. check this post on Morphicon's forum Morphicon Forum's I had to move the original OPENAL32.dll and then update with this version. OpenAL32.dll After that it worked perfectly.
