    I second that. Was playing smoothly in a plane and suddenly my character had spasms and start to jerk his head around.

    @ OneManShow Before anyone kills you, I'm gonna advice you to remove all user-made addons and try again. Some of them conflict with the config values in new patches.

    Wasnt the CG of choppers lowered to the centre of it in 1.07 beta? The CG of a vehicle can be identified by going in third peron view and circling the perspective around it... it'll be fixed onto the CG.

    After tweaking the AI values that are available on this forum, firefights are now survivable. But like you said... the nade launchers are still too accurate. Otherwise bullet-fighting is better after that AI value tweak.

    AI unapple to perform a bomb-run

    Mmm.. on beta patch 1.07, i think this problem was addressed. The A10s and Harriers do bomb targets and could only expect the same for the SU34s. They do it well too... except that they can get shot very easily since they tend to fly really really really rrreeaaallllyyy slowly over their targets before releasing the bombs. You could either wait for 1.07, proper, or install the beta patch.

    Aye Col. Flanders! Could you PM me your TrackIR profile? Anyways i just bought TrackIR yesterday and was using it both online and in the editor. Flying with this is godsent; tracking and locking on to enemies is not a problem any more. If I had a bigger screen (say... 32 inch) I believe that flying a jet would be an experience to behold. Having a bit of problems with infantry though. I didnt disable my zoom axis cause i like the idea of moving my body forward to look into the ironsights but the freelook that comes along with it is a bit jibbijabba. Bang bang bang and i'm looking at the sky. But, yes. Even though TrackIR isnt neccessary for Arma, it does help a lot in getting involved with the games... and surviving.

    Mm.. interesting update. I can imagine it to be more dynamic and the random battles could be a pull factor. Great... just when I was getting so tired of Evo. Hoping for the release of the new version!

    Yes, sickboy. Do find a way to have the tracers work as a mod the same way sound mods are done. I think the community needs this. Just imagine the CQBs at night! Godspeed, sickboy.

    Aye Club-On... could you host your file on another website? These free hosting sites always give many people the "Your donwload limit has been exceeded" error even though it maybe the first time we've come to the site. Why not compress the video file to Windows Media Video Broadband (512 or 700+ kb/s) and post it on yootoob? Would love to see the Arma MGS video..
  15. @Blazin You'll need two shots - head on, and 45 degrees to the side (or maybe a profile would be better?) The head on shot would be for the face and the profile shot would be for the jaw and ears. Combine together and tada.... a flattened frog pic that wraps around the model.
  16. @ wipman? Piece of rotten meat? 0.0 I respect the guy for his past man.... So here's Sylvester Stallone's WIP shots. Nose is a bit effed up though.. then again... it's Stallone's nose... Doesnt look like him though... the reason's because Arma's player model head isnt the same as his.

  18. Hi! I'm starting this thread so that the veteran addon makers could guide budding addons makers to the tools of the trade. I know, BIS would be releasing their own tools soon but it isnt clear when. Instead of waiting around and finally losing enthusiasm in addon making, why not teach us the gist of it. Then when the real tools are released, everyone wins! My first question would be what tools do you guys use to texture? Similarly, what tools do you use for model building? My second question would be is it possible to use other 3d making software like Maya or Softimage XSI to create models for Arma? What format do you then save the models as? I await to see the community helping the community in this thread. Shoot!
  19. ah yes it also happens when two or more people are dashing to get into a vehicle. THey get through the same door, press the action key at almost the same time and only one guy gets in and the others are left with loose heads.

  21. Yup.. its probably caused by lag... and some information relayed to the server might be missed and thus, you're stuck outside the vehicle with a dead head. Discon and Recon is the only way to solve it... OR... cross your fingers and hope you teleport into the vehicle some 20 seconds later. Gotta admit it's hilarious when someone gets it after getting off a boat for an invasion and he's spinning his head round and round and round and you're listening to him on TS all frantic. /OT

    And when the Recover BH crashes it doesnt spawn till an hour later... since it'll be too easy to recover vehicles. If it can lift a Stryker it could probably lift an MH6. Hey Kiljoy... have you ever thought of implementing Kronzky's Urban Patrol Script? I played Hamburger Hill, which had that script running, and the AI in the area kept on coming left right centre top bottom sideways. Currently Somato only has perpetually standing soldiers in Evo.

  24. @rcspike. lol are you referring to someone-we-know? I agree. I dont get how the obvious difference in polygons between OFP and Arma can be overlooked and labelled "NICEGOODWORKKEEPITUPCANTWAITFORTHENEXTONE!". And yes, make the mod-tools newbie-friendly please.
