thats a 8800 problem of handling alpha chennel and there is notthing BI could do about the major lack in ArmA is a strong story plot, the OFP and OFP:R story plot setting in the dawn of possible nuclear war in the heat of the cold war, this brings a strong feeling for many of us who have been living under the shadow of that, its too well writen that you cant really find anything that could suppass it, other minor ones like the broken anime(you got to admin its annoying to see your ingame muppet keep move-stop-move everytime you try to get going), also make it a bit less OFPish, but i could still see the same blood run within the game, and as far as it goes its OK for me ArmA should have been as you say the same blood. All i really wanted from it was Newer graphics. Exactly the same Gameplay ( maybe smarter AI aslong as it doesnt kill it ) A new story ?? ( so awesome if it continued CWC some how. ) Thats all i can see. But yes ArmA Lacks in its campaign. None of the people you play have a background story. Look at Guba, one of Stalins Generals And a James/David and especially Troska ! ( ) etc... all had fantastic background storys, which you can read on the BI wiki. Pray that we see this ArmA 2

I would prefer to just work on ArmA 2. After reading that the new features are confirmed, disscusion system and all that. Let ArmA die, theres no point making it extremely good if there gonna bring out Number 2.

Bought it on Friday. Its a decent SP FPS. Nothing really bugged me about it at all, except some of the water effects are scripted as you can clearly see when things crash into another object. So far ive only had the good ending ( saving the little sisters ). Though i dont think it was as good as the scores it got, there was nothing New about it at all that hasnt been in some other FPS, except the genetic enhancements. All around its a decent FPS. Worth the money to buy and play.
