Well, if I got you right, you think that setting landscape textures size low will make the lag vanish? Well... you're PC still has to load the texture anyways, no matter in what size you wanna watch it, so with 2048x2048 texture size... Or something like that.

Lol you could've just ordered GOTY edition... Anyways... when I first heard about OFP, it was a new thing. One of my friends had it, and we talked about it on the breaks in school. Before I saw it, I had no idea what a BMP or Ural was... he tried to explain... Well, I got to play it, a bit. Then, another friend got the Gold edition and then we played it. In summer 2003 I saw GOTY in the shop, for 50 €. Well, I bought it and tried it on my old PC. Didn't work. My "new" PC is about 2 years old now, so I first played my own copy about exactly 2 years ago. So I had GOTY for few months but nothing to do with it... I'm glad I waited. Oh, I've had fun since... Well, that's the case with US Army too, I've heard... Not all BDU's are "Made In USA" anymore. Oh and is there any signifigant difference between 60/40 and 50/50 (standard issue?)? Except the higher price (+18 € for SI)... I'm starting to hate BDU's... BTW nice pics f-olk-e.

OK, if I join, my friends want the whole team to have Woodland BDU's. Is Tru-Spec 60% Cotton / 40% Polyester Twill BDU coat/trousers a good choise? They cost 50 € per piece, so that's 100€ for BDU itself... And what's the M-65 thing I'm finding on some shops...? And Nomex gloves, something like on whitemann's 2 first pics. Shinraiden... No NASCAR in Finland, sorry.

I'll have to see how my thing evolves... Now my friends want to have BDUs for the whole team (about 8, a bit over maybe). Not a problem actually, BDU + tacvest looks quite scary, but a real BDU is quite expensive. BTW how good are Nomex flight gloves for shooting? Hmmm, Marui M14 or M15A4 Rifle? Still have half a year to think about it. Or maybe something shorter... Placebo, next time, try to be less trigger-happy with that G36.

I think that the "slug" is a caterpillar or some kind of maggot in general. You know, becomes an insect one day... Dunno about the bee though. So many species around. Might be some kind of wasp, a hornet maybe.

Nice pics, you all looking very "tactical". But I advise you to link them, image hotlinking limit is 100 kB. Those are all over 500 I think. But, about the age limit thing, isn't it possible that you get some adult to buy you a gun? I mean, here in Finland, it's legal to buy a gun if you have your parents' permission. In Finnish store Nemesis, they even have a form that, when properly signed, allows you to buy an airsoft gun even if you're not 18 yet.

I am a beginner, so "only in the beginning" won't be a problem. Plus AEGs might loose power and gas guns won't work in cold temperatures. We'll see. Depends on my budget, which isn't even enough ATM.

When used correctly, I think they're effective. Plus 3 rounds/trigger pull, that Marui shotguns have, gives better chances of hitting than with e.g a bolt action or other firms' shotguns. Plus they're pretty powerful (0.81 J; TM AUG has 0.72 J untuned). You only need BB's and magazines (shells in this case) to play, whereas with AEG you need all those batteries and stuff. Hmmm... Cheers.

Ah, thanks. Too bad that they don't sell M3's in my home town, I think... for the pump slip, well, gloves? Saw a nice tuned TM AUG on sale, red dot sights, 3 point carrying sling, Systema M150 tuning kit insides, M135 spring capable of delivering enormous 2.25 joules I think , accuracy barrel, 10.6V 1600 mAh battery and 5 magazines. I calculated that this kit would cost over 800 euros to make, so no hope buing it under 500 €. Nice gun anyways. Anyways, where'd you find those Russian uniforms, FW200? Cheers.
