Well, you start the game. Once started, move to mission editor. In case you haven't done it yet, swith to Advanced mode (just in case, the button is located up-right corner). Place an unit on the map (in this case a SWAT). Beofre you click OK, you can see a long empty box that has the text "Initializion" (or something like that). THIS is the so-called init-line. Into the box, type <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">this setobjecttexture [*number*,"*texture path*"] and replace the *texture path* with the texture path (\pbo name\path inside it\texture name.format), in this case <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">\SGTev_misc\Patches\xy.paaand the *number* with the texture area name, in this case 0 (chest in Eversman's model). Now the line should look like <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">this setobjecttexture [0,"\SGTev_misc\Patches\xy.paa"]Then choose the texture you want to use, I'll use <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">FBI.paaand replace the "xy.paa" with it. Now the line should look like <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">this setobjecttexture [0,"\SGTev_misc\Patches\FBI.paa"] Now you're ready to play. Press OK in the unit box, press preview to start the mission and the SWAT guy should have the text FBI in his chest, as defined by the setobjecttexture command. I hope you got it now. Oh and finally, you don't need anything separate, thanks to OFP's in-built mission editor. Just the texture name and path. And an unit that has the ability to use patches and custom textures.

I think that's Su-17 (thanks Gedis) by TomiD, not sure though. Great addon anyways, and nice pics, you and all others. http://img484.imageshack.us/img484....MG] http://img484.imageshack.us/img484....MG] http://img291.imageshack.us/img291....MG] Addons: Gnat's B52 Stratofortress Beta, Mapfact DC-3's, DMA Libya, BMI Blackops, BWMod Wolf pack. That's all, folks! -
"Listen up, Gastovski, today's mission is a bit different. You'll be infiltrating Guba's servants as a cook." "What!?" "Shut up and listen, I'm not finished yet. You'll prepare him a mushroom dinner. We'll sneak some of our own mushrooms in their food supply, the mushrooms being deadly poisonous." "Roger." They could just send some enlisted cook though, that should do the job aswell... Nice addon... crazy you.

retexture Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier 2
BlackScorpion replied to eddyd's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Wow, nice vid... it seems to be much more agile than the Su-27SKM I saw in Paris, and that thing was quite agile too... But I think your title should be changed to "Databank" or something like that instead of "Member", Gedis... Nice carrier, haven't tested this yet though (I have a mission waiting though - the old test mission, with RHS Inf, SFM Su-27 etc. - gonna be sweet). Now, we just need an U-2G for the US carriers... -
Yeah, Star Wreck rules... the budget (well, cost) was around 13,000 (thirteen thousand) Euros... while a second (! of Titanic cost around 17,000 US dollars, just to give you a scale of the budget. Still looks nearly better, though.

Looks very nice... how edited is the sunrise pic? Would make a perfect background... And C84, the word you're looking for is propably "pier". Now we just need a sauna simulation... maybe in FDF 2?
-
Awww crap... couldn't keep my OFP running...

"Cat eye band" is what you mean. It's a quite narrow OD band that goes around your helmet and has 2 reflective (luminous) badges on the back (well, meant to be in the back). It can be turned around if you don't want to give yourself away. Used quite widely in 'Nam too, if I'm not wrong.
-
Why won't BIS then just integrate FDF straight into AA... *EDIT* removed this part because I realized that he complained that M1 has less recoil than G3... But I still don't believe the "gases amplifying energy" -thing. Just like Metal Heart said. BTW I really doubt that M24 is based on M1 Garand...

My advice is training. When you use it for a while, you should get used to it. It might create problems with other games with choppers, though...
-
Oh sorry, yes, I was thinking about 20 years ahead... forgot that the units are mid-80's, right? Well I guess T-34/85 isn't that bad then, after all, I guess they can customize them a bit... Some off-topic here... listening to Rammstein's Rosenrot and staring at the dancing banana ( ).
-
Too bad that I can't register, unless I move to USA... unless, of course, I find a zip code somewhere...
-
T-34? Ain't that a BIT too ancient? Maybe something like, as mentioned, Centurions, M60's or possibly Chieftains or Leo 1's... and earlier versions of Leo 2's aren't hugely expensive, especially if NATO would give a little help... Of course, Russian semi-modern tanks are a possibility...
-
I might come, play about 0.5-1.5 hours... or just pass like every other Finn seems to do...
-
Mindas... that reminds me of Sin City... If you've seen the movie you should know what I mean...
-
Slow down speed on what? Choppers? Pull back the stick. Planes? Decrease (pull back) the throttle. Atleast on my stick, chopper altitude is bound on throttle stick. When I pull it back, chopper starts to increase altitude, and vice versa.

Check that you have a .pbo called haus. If you don't, download Finnish buildings pack by... erm... Ares, I think.

To me it looks alot more like the Sako, look closely at the grip and the stock. It looks far too arched to be the M24 to me. But it's not too relevant Sako TRG-22 to be exact. Look at the magazine well, you can see part of the magazine. This makes it the upgraded TRG-22. The bipod seems to be a non-standard (integral, detachable) one and I can't see any sling mounts. But I'm not a full expert... They look really nice, gotta find some time for testing. To be honest, I haven't even tested extracted the GROM units yet, sorry, haven't played SP for a while so... but yeah, these !

Yeah, if you have a good joystick (and you aren't that bad pilot either...) you can do this, for example: I also enjoy flying choppers few meters off the ground. It's... relaxing. The drawbacks are, as mentioned, the oversensitivity on most jets and sometimes overall oversensitivity (depends on config and stick settings). Hell, I've done loops with Mapfact DC-3... Remember, the stick needs to have a good throttle with it. Even if it's small (such as in my MS Sidewinder), if it moves well (not oversensitive but quite accurate to use) it helps very much. Well, most sticks have it...

I use my mouse... quite a simple way...

I thought it was my chair... Great and fun ( ) games tonight, thanks, too bad DxDll refused to work, didn't get any screenies... well, I did get one, but it's not good... Hmmm... apparently you guys can't see my face texture...

Oh, just found the '99 site of OFP...

1. I've only had 1 joystick for the past few years, still works, they don't make it anymore though, so can't help here. 2. Well, if you mean "Can I use keyboard if my joystick is plugged in" then yes, the stick doesn't "get activated" before you move it. Atleast mine doesn't. Every time I hop into a chopper or plane, I press the "free look" key (*) and grab my joystick. That way my mouse movement doesn't interfere with the joystick movement, thus the plane does only what my stick tells it to do. Auto-hover in choppers doesn't work, though, but with practise you don't need it. 3. Better and more realistic control of planes and choppers, accuracy depending a bit on joystick. Atleast with planes I can do things I was never able to do with keyboard. 4. Especially if you like flying, hell yeah!

Is that a fake, or have the Russians bought some F-14s from the Iranians?

Great job... I can give you 2 pics of the EOS 1, back and front (I'll scan it from a magazine)... As Llauma noted, the model, especially head does look like from a comic, one of the first things I noticed...
