You mean an oil field? I'm quite sure the addon you're looking for is made by Mapfact... look at the required addons list for some Middle East islands, such as DMA Libya's. Or, download all Mapfact stuff you can find... they aren't that bad. ofp.info is a good place for searching, besides the forums, too. Here's something to look at. Wrong forum btw.
-
Search at ofp.info. Atleast there is a Groza pack, that's for sure. It's quite old though. Hmmm... Steyr Scout Tactical? FN FAL? Walther PPK? Beretta M12? Steyr TMP? SiG 551? Galil?
-
Hmmm. Interesting project! BTW that last pic is about 750 kb's so...
-
I hope this ain't too OT... Something like this might be handy - just replace "Steam" with "BIS" or "OFP".
-
Ah, sorry, I recommended it for you dispite your comment... I guess I should read who posts, lol.

Well, it's a few years old ORCS addon so... well, it ain't that bad, as far as I remember. It's been a while that I've used, and I haven't held one in real life so... I think that that EOTech fits the AK quite well, as you can barely see the rail and the sight is quite slim. Looks far better than a side-mounted (like PSO-1 scope) rail system with an Aimpoint on it... seen few of them, too. U-G-L-Y. Hmmm... the EOTech-AK, Maybe an idea for Sgt. Eversmann for his Specops weapons pack?
-
Well, first thing that comes into mind is ORCS VSS. 2nd option is a "custom" VSS. Or RHS just made one for TB... but shouldn't this kind of discussion be in the FFUR thread? Although a VSS by RHS wouldn't be a bad thing, though.

There were about 193 (1st page of the thread; I got over 210 when counting on a printed readme, wtf?) weapons in v1.1 (plus one radio), so I think we'll easily pass 250 with v2.0...
-
Hmmm that might turn out to be useful - I'll have a look later. I remember my first time with the mortar... It was the mission where there's 2 squads of Spetznaz and they go on a little trip on the other side of the border. First there's the town, then a bridge and some artillery base thing... well we've played it as I remember how I (accidentally) shot Llauma (I think) and later on, AI (kaka's?) shot me when I was about to blow up the guns... Well anyways, it was a public server so it was quite hectic. I set the mortar near the border, but wasn't sure about the range, as there was a forest between me and the town, and nobody bothered to tell the range, so I had to estimate it off the map... well considering the situation, I did fairly well. Well back on topic... I have fairly good amount of time, so I'll propably show up. Maybe I'll do better than during the past few times... my PC really hates me. Nor does Pacific Fighters or OFP work...

When I saw this I thought it immediatly must be a conversion too, but I don't recall a j2f ever being in pacific fighers...I'm pretty sure the author created it himself And great work for it there is a duck in PF. its not playable its just a eye candy but often your able to edit the texs of the eye candy planes.. i checked my pf install and there is no duck texture base so i stand corrected. my applogies Pappy, just checked it and there isn't. I've got 4.04m so I think I should have it if there was one... And about the textures issue... if it just looks like it, it might not be. Especially nowadays the texture artists do really great job trying to represent the original camo, and knowing US Navy, it was standard issue so...

Well judging by the photos, it sure looks helluva good. I might be wrong, but wouldn't the easiest way to optimize it be adding JAM magazines for it? It might take a bit away from the addon, as it's short barreled, but neither does Laser's M14 SOPMOD have it's own magazines. And if it works by looks... well it's still usable for photography, ain't it?
-
Well I can see that... but where could we find it?
-
Hmmm, thanks Shadow, maybe this is worth looking for after all. Heatseeker, you missed the point of my post - I was joking. You quoted that the maps were "2 to 3 times bigger than the Xbox 360"... well, literally taken, it means that the maps would be few times bigger than an Xbox 360 console, that's about the size of a phone booth (few sq meters!, so...

Well, in mission editor, you type in the init field <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">removeallweapons this then we want to give him the weapon (replace weaponname with the weapon's classname) <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">this addweapon "weaponname" and for magazines <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">this addmagazine "magazinename" You should be able to find the classnames in the readme. Now, if the minigun you're referring to is OS_Minigun (M134 v1.1), this is how the soldier's init line looks like, if I equip a basic soldier with the minigun and 5 mags instead of i.e. M16. <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">removeallweapons this; this addmagazine "OS_minigun"; this addmagazine "OS_minigun"; this addmagazine "OS_minigun"; this addmagazine "OS_minigun"; this addmagazine "OS_minigun"; this addweapon "OS_minigun" Now... if you want to have the equipment available at the mission briefing (weapons pool; like in a campaign or single missions), well, I can't quite help you... use the search option or wait for someone wiser to step in... You might also want to take a look at Avon Lady's OFP FAQ.

I have a feeling that this doesn't quite compare to OFP - last time I checked it, the Xbox 360 didn't have an area of few square km's... so the maps are feckin' small!

Project 941 Akula Ver 1.2

Wow, that looks feckin' cool... I really do hope that it works! -
Where'd you got the info? I'm not saying that there isn't a 12.7x90mm round around, but atleast I have never heard of one... if you're looking for standard rounds, go with either 99mm or 108 mm case lenght. The 1st, 12.7x99mm, is .50 cal BMG, used in NATO countries and in weapons such as M2 HMG and M82A1 sniper rifle. The latter, 12.7x108mm, is the Soviet-made M30/38 round, used i.e. NSV machine gun and OSV-96 sniper rifle. I'm sure the community will be happy to get the facts right for you... I do remember your thread about calibers in the OT section a while back...
-
Huh? AKM(-47) fires 7.62x39mm, -74 fires 5.45x39mm... or maybe I got something wrong. Looks like you're going with real life ammo... well the most used .50 cal ammo, BMG, is 12.7x99mm... your KASNR uses 12.7x90mm. Otherwise, it looks interesting. Nice mix of Eastern bloc stuff with modern Western stuff... any ideas of the camo? ICBM's...
-
Yeah, would be nice... You'll be spending half the day scrolling down the action menu when near the M4 crate though.
-
I think I can make it tonight. What's the custom face size limit on your server btw?
-
Lol, will do that later on man.
-
Kyle, you're really having a boring day? Well, that's okay, like 'em both, lol, though the ArmA thingy is better. I even took the freedom of posting it on another forum, where I'm trying to convert the guys to OFP... Naturally I uploaded (well, transloaded) it onto my pichost, and credited you... Great pics all, especially Parvus, Nightkiller, Sluganda and Wilco. EricJ's are nice, but... VBS1 , damn you.
-
Well, if the readme doesn't have them and nobody bothers to post them, I'm afraid that you'll have to open the .pbo. WinPBO is a good tool for this, if you don't have it, or anything to unpack the .pbo, search for it in ofp.info... Once you've opened it, check the config.cpp, it should have a list... I'm too tired to check it now, but it's not the .rtm file name you want but the classname thingy (class blahblahblah, such as class icp_anim23 or similar)... hmmm if you don't find it I'll let others explain it better. Good luck. Hope this helps.
