F-number. Basically, it's the entrance pupil diameter - focal lenght ratio. The smaller the number, bigger pupil diameter, and more light will enter the lense. But it also has an affect on the image sharpness and focus, read more about that on the article and the next answers.

Can't be that bad... after all, the word is used in Casablanca. We can't be more puritan than 1940's US movie inspectors... right? Anyways, nice piccies... sorry I wasn't there last night, was playing with HH (OFP, of course) and the, after stopping at around 9pm GMT, went to play a bit of AvP 2 MP demo... totally forgot you.
-
The new Canadian Army LAV replacement?
-
Oh, I thought that was the result of one of your driving lessons.
-
How the hell did you manage to do that? Too bad, it was looking so promising... like Ocean city but... well, better in a way.
-
Bugger! So I missed the best part then!?
-
Well, dunno about the PP2000 being ultrasmall. Glock 18, Vz 61 Skorpion, Micro UZI, Steyr TMP, OTs-33 "Pernach", APS... all are smaller than PP-2000 and fully automatic. And MP-7 has been in the business for a while already, yet an interesting gun though.
-
Depends on the camera... those pics I posted are unedited, just resized. Shot without tripod (haven't got one) with about 8-20 secs or so of exposure.
-
Few nightshots, testing the exposure... these were taken few weeks ago during midnight, in Finland (=dark). And eyah you can see a bit of grainyness, but not much. These were shot with ISO 1600 IIRC.
-
I've been just snapping shots with the kit lense, all manual and ISO1600... Awesome stuff. Sniper's Kalashnikov, Gran's editing, Tovarish' guitar... also the Aussie comet.
-
Eeeeeh... that need registration and I'm not that fond ordering a paper that's published on the other side of the world... even virtually.
-
Well I can test it. Atleast over the weekend.
-
And word is that in few days (or weeks) there will also be few extra planes in the mod...
-
So that's part of the new Al Qaida tactics they keep talking about on BBC?
-
Configging some weapons... shouldn't be a problem. Plus, it's mainly photography (PMC with Lee-Enfield? Don't ask...) anyways, so it doesn't actually need to work. Thanks for the answer anyways... now if I could just get around installing the mod...
-
Can one use the weapons without running the mod, btw? Doing some custom stuff, and well... Brits seem to like their Lee-Enfields!
-
Quite impressive. Guess I'll get one if I get sent to Afghanistan as a peacekeeper in few years (thinking about applying for one after Army...), if the thing reeally is that good. Doubt that it'll stop an hard-headed AP round, but how many AP rounds have you seen with the insurgents? "An advanced ceramic composite with a strength only second to diamond"? Guess that's boron carbide, the same thing used in Interceptor. Hardness is quite extreme, 5th hardest thing known to man. Diamond is 3rd, so that gives you a fair idea... but that's just hardness, not tensile strenght. So the "Dragon skin" can still shatter. But try molding a 30 cm x 30 cm peace of clay and drop it, and compare it to a piece of clay the size of a quarter.
-
Test 'em, maybe? Top slider to extreme right, the one below it (fog) to extreme left. Date somewhere mid-summer and time around 12:00; best weather (no fog or clouds, sun at its highest point). Viewdistance to 5000.

Extended built-in vehicle radar
BlackScorpion replied to otester's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Isn't it a config issue? "Detectionrange" or something like that... suggest you take a look at the config of some radar-equipped unit and possibly compare it to a non-radar vehicle. -
<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">Повстанец Which roughly translates to Povstanets in Western alphabet. Someone with proper learning in Russian correct me if I'm wrong, please. (if the thing doesn't show, well... guess you just need to find the original form yourself) Kapinallinen (as in rebel) in Finnish.

I know that this is breaking the rules, but... Top 10 Astronomy images of 2006. Amazing stuff... suggest you take a look at it (thanks for the link, Beat... and nice car). And to comply with the rules... It's Celsius...

UC Studios ArmA Thread
BlackScorpion replied to Blackbuck's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
KyleSarnik already made a fairly realistic (I guess?) shotgun script for OFP, dunno how useful it actually was or was it used in any addon (SJB I guess). Not sure, but might've been a burst with extremely high dispersion and firing rate. And slugs... well, if you hit with them, they're fairly effective. But yeah, a SPAS-12 or AA-12 would be fun. -
Wha? Usually their naval forces either blow up half of my Navy or they get somewhere around my coast.
-
Hmmm, I think I'll agree with NSX. The camo isn't '81 WL, but is similar. Looks similar, eh?
-
You don't have to download it from Steam. The demo on the site is also the full game, you just need to enter in the serial to unlock it. Anyways, here it goes. 5 cents.
