We can't help unless you tell us how they're "not working". Missing textures shouldn't permit them from working, just shows as plain white. I still haven't tested these.

Another tip is to be very calm, don't make any sudden moves... I've sometimes spent about 30 secs to move 1-2 metres to get close to an animal. Naturally, having something for them to eat works quite well (almost too well ), but i.e. my photos were achieved without any... "distraction". Natural interest took over, prolly since they're quite used to getting fed, so they thought I had something, too.

Took a pic with me old pocket cam so close that it's a tad blurry because the camera could focus any closer. Also had squirrels running up my jeans. (click for bigger version and look VERY closely at her eye...) CBA to resize these so... http://img134.imageshack.us/my.php?image=100b11404cu.jpg http://img185.imageshack.us/my.php?image=100b01482nq.jpg (yes it's a duck on our balcony) http://img179.imageshack.us/my.php?image=100b1188rx3.jpg

Yeah, get 400D if you want to... I agree with SpeedyDonkey. If you can shoot with it, you ought to have little trouble getting the result... will still take a while (as I'm pretty much learning by shooting), though. The 18-55mm lense is fairly good, offering zoom capabilities similar to a pocket cam (3x or 4x zoom). I'll be getting a 200-300mm lense in the near future though, for airshows. Took pics of the lunar eclipse through a telescope... without an adapter.

Agreed... Hyperstealth SOPAT III or Spec4ce pattern would be sweet. I did show you what I was trying to implement, already on MSN.

Seconded. The face looks simply... amazing. You don't mind if I use the pic for some... errr... "marketting" purposes (=get my friends to get ArmA)?

Jeff Rovin - Tom Clancy's Op Center: Line of Control at the moment. It's about the Pakistani-Indian Kashmir area, a terrorist act and an US team sent in to save both countries from some serious frying... quite good stuff, based on Clancy's idea so it almost doesn't differ from his books.

High Dynamic Range Rendering/Imaging. Basically the same shot with different exposures giving the shot different exposures in different areas simultaneously, making the picture look more realistic. Many modern games have the same thing (i.e. Crysis, Source engines) to create more realistic shots. Do you need a specific tool for that or can i.e. PS Elements 2 do it? And, apparently, is the trick done by f-numbers rather than with shutter times?

WW2 Aircrafts and tanks!
BlackScorpion replied to jaan665's topic in ARMA - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Aaaand unless you're talking about the horses or the car, what sorta Mustang you have in mind then? Yeah, there were some (actually quite many as far as I know) Mustangs and P-47s in the Pacific thearer, but propably the more famous stuff used was the US Navy "Cats" and Corsairs. Although AFAIK, most of the stuff USAAF, Navy and USMC had did fly in the Pacific, too, and with fair bit of effort to the war. From others... Spitfires and Seafires flew, atleast. Great job, VXR... Trenchfoots or...? If it is, modify the nose a bit, doesn't look as streamlined as the G model. Love that FW! -
SFP has the Hawk, I think. Fischkopp's Humvee pack has the Avenger version, which carries 8 Stingers. SEF LAV pack has the LAV-25 AA variant, which carries 25mm gatling gun and 4 Stingers. CBT Bradley pack has the M6 Linebacker which has the normal 25mm gun but instead of TOWs, it has 4 Stingers.

Well, this has the Airweapons and few Blackhawks to d/l too, if you want to... the Birdies are quite nice I tells ya. Here is another quite good collection... same stuff, and the most of it. I suppose with bit of searching Ballistic Addon Studios addons shouldn't be that hard to find... sure, they're "a tad" old but their still some of the best I know of.
-
Not that unheard of, I guess... but would be quite a surprise. Atleast in FDF... "Wow, they've really put effort into this exercise... HEY! Stop shooting, got a wounded here... "Stoi, stoi!" Drop it and help!" And now something that qualifies as military humour itself (French advised for caution)... http://www.arrse.co.uk/wiki/ARRSEPedia_Intro

Upcoming tactical shooter from Blackfoot Studios: Ground Branch
BlackScorpion replied to Tactical Jerky's topic in OFFTOPIC - Games & Gaming
Actually just started playing GR1 with the expansions again, in MP with a mate (Helping Hand), great fun. Looking forward to this. -
Thank you for what you've done... although I've really gotten into WGL only recently (first I downloaded was v4, but it didn't quite work after some time so...), but then got "invited" into Zeus nights... some of the best time I've had. Both due to the people and what got us playing. A big thanks goes to WGL, naturally, THE mod if you want a fairly comprehensive but playable mod... WGL, besides FDF, will prolly never leave my HD. And last, but not least, naturally thank you (and the rest of the team) for giving us something like this. The best for you, Q, take care and try not to get too much disorders for the lack of OFP. Maybe we'll see again, although I never recall meeting you in the first place. Reminds me of When the world is not enough... will there be an R then?

The Raveonettes live on MTV atm... had forgotten about the whole band. Shame, it's good stuff! How "ironic"... that Simpsons episode with the above quote just showed on telly today.

Error in config (of Agent Smith's Industrial building pack?) I suppose.
-
Hey, that thing looks beautiful... well, for an addon atleast. And the video is nicely shot, next time keep the paras alive, though?

Private Military Contractors Beta 1.0 Release
BlackScorpion replied to ardvarkdb's topic in ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Sniper Skull... "PMC" in Wikipedia. And, to the point. Haven't tested these yet, but they look cool, and surely will be useful for Iraq and general VIP missions. Kinda like few units I've been making for personal use, too... might use these in conjunction with them, then. -
Well... TOW is actually wire-guided in r/l, too, just like MILAN. You referring to BIS TOW here? (which I actually recall being a guided one...?) Even their Carl Gustav launcher is lockable, and that thing is a recoilless rifle.
-
How about checking the producer, Trijicon Inc.? Seems that atleast most, if not all, models they're making today are equipped with the silhouette ring.
-
ICP weapons can use JAM (Reblman's insurgents actually do), so using HD ammo shouldn't be a problem.
-
My local shop doesn't seem to get it until 21st, here in Finland... and they started out as a gameshow (which is still running after like 7 or 8 years), so...

XBox controller? Very nice retextures. The pattern looks almost perfect!
