The 1st one is definetly a Panhard AML, 2nd looks a tad like a half truck... M3 or early BTRs, though I guess not. No idea on the last ones, yet. They look a tad like the Panhard VBLs

Just as a sidenote, Bush is just about to give a speech in Virginia... we'll see if anything gets changed...

It's the server... high demand I suppose. Remember, it's being paid by 1 guy.

M60-2000(/120S) tank, the hybrid of M60 and M1?
-
OK, I haven't tried MP yet but... what? You sure you got the right game? As far as I know, it doesn't matter what rank you got, plus there's no "career" system like in AA or BF2... or am I mistaken? However, if you wish to try (couldn't see any entry for that), your profile is located in your personal files ("My Files" or something like that... not in the game folder anyways), in a folder called "ArmA profiles" or "ArmA other profiles"

Ach, mixed with BMD (which initially had magnesium armor btw ). Well 33mm (about 1.5 inches) still isn't that much, .50 cal SLAP will easily penetrate 1 inch block of RHA, and the Mk 211 Raufoss round shot through every target USMC threw at it in the terminal ballistics demonstration video, including a 600-pound (doesn't say much, but still alot of steel) and 3-inch thick manhole covers...

Yeah, the point where they get Ma Deuce is... well, you really need MANY bricks to be safe. About the "M107 the tank killer" thingy... well I recall some (USMC?) snipers destroying a BMP with 2 shots, but I'm not sure whether even a DU penetrator could go through a fairly modern (past WW2) MBT, unless shot in a less armored spot, engine block mainly; BMP is made out of aluminum anyways and has only few inches of armor.

It's made by General Barron. Here's the readme... CBA to upload the file itself.

As mentioned above, cost. The thing fairly expensive, to say atleast...

That is incorrect. I wasn't aware Iraq had such a nasty peice of kit? The "bad guys" (can't remember who, never played it) in BF2 do. Hitler didn't invade whole of Europe. UK held it's defence, Ireland being neutral but with obvious stance. Others were either neutral (Sweden, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland, atleast), allied atleast partially (Spain technically; Hungary, Romania, Finland, Italy etc.) or conquered by the Germans. US and Israel have drawn plans of using nuclear weapons against high-value tactical/strategic targets if necessary. I'm not saying they're the only ones doing so (India and Pakistan are still somewhat in war with each other, both having atleast few hundred SRBMs), but well, they're doing so.

He hasn't downloaded many, they were in .zips...? I, myself, use WinACE... works well, not sure if it's better than WinRAR but it's good... plus my 30 day trial ended over 1,5 years ago, but...

If "the bloody blurry effect" is the only problem with DxDll, you can of course always fiddle around with the blur and flare (Was it flare? Or Gamma...?) effects in the configurator, or just press App+P. To be honest I don't even have DxDll postprocessing actually on when I start the game...

Have you printed a hi-res map yet? Pic's? :)

Nice pics, Warrior and Linker... where can I sign up!? Gaaah wrong topic... pic...pic! Personally edited Jonny's SF & LSR weapons 3.0. -
Well, a short version based on their real-life properties (which you can find at www.globalsecurity.com btw): M61, M67, Mk2A1, RGO, RGN, RGD5 (I suppose) and F-1 are "frag" grenades. Lethal radius and amount of fragments varies, but they're all "action nades", both offensive (lots of fragments) and offensive. All the rest (RGDs and M18s, and ANMs) are smoke grenades as far as I know. If the list is correct, there is no M84 flashbang!

I got Athlon XP 2800+ (2.0 GHz, but comparable to ~2.8 GHz Pentium), Geforce FX 5600 and 512 MB of RAM, and the demo runs on my machine. It's basically unplayable (takes alot of patience and trying... and tanks ), but it runs and you can see the soldiers and stuff. So with that configuration, your processor is definetly the Achilles' heel, unless it's a 64-bit or multicore, since they seem to have lower speeds compared single core 32-bits. Dunno about the compatibility, but quick check showed few processors which are fairly fast (well, alot faster than 994 MHz anyways), which are in the price range of the game itself. You can always try and download the demo - if it runs, the full game will atleast run. Maybe not noticeably better than the demo, but atleast it'll run.

Yellow Sun nuclear bomb, first high-yield British nuke. Now I'll go and find something to post... in about 12 hours.

Correct, go ahead. Kudos, monkey. As promised.

Well, since I got 2 correct answers in a row, I guess it's my turn. Kudos for the guy who finds it... well, apart from Ironsight.

Errrr... nope. The film is based on a comic of the same name ("300") by the well-known (i.e. whole of Sin City, various Batman stories) artist Frank Miller. He, in turn, based/was inspired for his comic on "The 300 Spartans", a 1962 movie which he saw in his youth. Which, in turn is based on the actual battle. From Wiki I've managed to gather that the events themselves are quite close to the actual stuff, but of course with some coloring, especially on the visual side. And apears that the "Free Greek" attitude is from the '62 movie, which in turn is Cold War era if you get the point... Now, since I still haven't seen the movie... I'll just shut up.

Reference to Sin City couldn't be more correct, since the movie is based on a graphic novel of the same name by Frank Miller, the same guy who did Sin City and has also done some very good Batman and Daredevil comics... Haven't seen it myself, but it seems interesting. Although I found it rather... confusing, I did really like Sin City. And since the story is "90 percent accurate. It's just in the visualization that it's crazy" (Zack Snyder, the director), I'm eager to see it... due to which one, is up to you to figure out.
