thinking about buying an alienware M11x just wondering how well it would run arma 2 -
as you can see it has an extended nose gear compared to the Arma 2 addon that was made. And once it has landed it is kinda canted at an angle due to the extended nose gear. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/77/USMC_CH-46.jpg also both helicopters are missing proper working gear suspensions.

ACE Medical system bug, you can load people in stuff when they are wounded but you are not able to take them out. attached IR strobes in MP are not sync'd, it becomes a pain to co-ordinate with a fireteam that has IR strobes to all have theirs on and off amongst their members. Because it is not synch'd... For instance in 1 players screen it appears his strobe is on, but on other players screens it is off. and vice versa... Also when using multiple thrown IR strobes, they are all activated only after the last strobe is thrown. IE until the last strobe is thrown all the strobes are off. Also, the strobes are way too blinding and bright for use by ground forces as a form of IFF in between fireteams. Your own personal strobe you see on yourself looks decent but when u look at a strobe on a team mate it is completely bigger and brighter. From the air this is not a problem, as the IR strobes are highly visible. Maybe as a fix have the strobe have 2 seperate modes, a HIGH mode for air spotting. And a LOW mode for ground troops to IFF each other? -

get the latest Nvidia drivers that are out now, on my 8800 GTX I was getting FPS of 80-90 on Utes... When before updating drivers I was getting 60-70 fps. -

Found an issue for IR strobes... If you have multiple IR strobes on 1 player, IE 1 for IFF function and others for signaling / targeting. IFF still works, as far as attaching to your person. However, signaling / targeting does not work all the time, as it appears that the IR strobes only activate only after the player has tossed a strobe that was activated on his person. IE: turn strobe on, toss a couple other strobes and see effect... They don't activate. Then toss the strobe that was attached and watch as all of the strobes on the ground turn on. -

I don't see anything wrong with addon creators tailoring their addons into ACE, take PLA units for example? should we not be able to have same effect with other mods? RHS? UKF? BW mod? FDF mod? CSLA? ETC... If players can pick what addons they want to use to complement ACE I say go for it. In an ideal world ACE would have everything imaginable in it, but the world is not ideal and one solution is modular addon packs or addon folders. You say the sheer size of ACE would be too big if you add everything everybody wants. While that holds some merit, it is still feasible to make modules like you have done for PLA and ACEX, etc. This is only reasonable solution I can think of. -
maybe after ILBE gear, some Army packs can be made as well. But first, the attention will be on the US MARINES and their ILBE packs. First pack to be worked on will be the main / standard pack. The idea is that after these are complete they could be put into ACE mod as either stand alone addon, or part of ACE update. But that would be up to ACE devs once packs are finished. Idea is that each pack has different capacity to hold gear, and thus would be mission specific chosen by Marines. Longer duration missions require more equipment thus more need for large capacity gear bags. The idea is that it be integrated into ACE mod and offer game play element of proper load bearing equipment with certain capacity for items. This also be reflected in ACE stamina, as the more gear you carry fatigue becomes an issue for you.

Hey guys, I need some help researching USMC ILBE packs... A friend of mine wants to make some for the game to possibly use with ACE mod. I have done some legwork and have come to the conclusion that the ILBE system is being fielded by US Marines. So far I know of the following ILBE packs existing: Standard ILBE (main pack) Assault ILBE Corpsmen ILBE Recon ILBE BIS has already made an ILBE pack, you can notice on the back of the US MARINE automatic rifleman model

because those are different airframes in the blackhawk family. If anything they should be added, not replacing anything. -
some crew chiefs for helos would be nice too bink... I dont think they wear the exact same gear as pilots do.

In ACE there is a feature to have a weapon on your back, thus making it possible to carry 2 primary weapons. How do I make a unit start off with 2 primary weapons IE: one on back, one in hands... Upon mission start. -

invisible ruck needed for avatars that already have a ruck modeled on them, IE: BIS Automatic Rifleman, etc... Looks strange having 2 ruck models on a person. -

I had an idea when playing with the yellow tinted shooting glasses. Why not make a black "sunglasses" version and a clear. Maybe make it so lenses can actually be changed in the field. The most common is the ESS ICE system, which I have myself for the range. I find I never use the yellow one, I'm constantly using the clear for indoor shooting and if I was outdoors I would use the black lenses. Maybe make a few different standard military model sunglasses and goggles. Like you would see typically in the field. -
instead of having 2 different versions of PLA units. Plus we can actually reproduce another full faction in the game.

why don't you and operation halfmoon team up and make a whole PLA faction and have a standard "look" to them.

harrier is unable to maintain VTOL flight, IE: it slowly falls from the sky even with full power. IRL the harrier is able to maintain a "hover" and can also increase altituide, in the game the harrier gently falls from the sky and is quite uncontrollable. -

I don't understand why you can't make PLA jets to add to your pack even if you have to remake them from scratch. It would be worth it because your adding an entirely new faction to the game. -
