I just finished a tears of the sun seals mission which is multiplayer.  If any of you guys wants it please feeel free to email me.  The story is: In a time period I won't say, nor the region.... Some civillians snuck out at night and reached a radio tower to send off a distress signal.  A seal team is sent in to investigate.  It requires tears of the sun seals, bas blackhawks and the air weapons that comes with that and thats all.  It has a cutscene and music, into and outro.

Lets not do a what if.  I think ofp2 should be two fictional armies fighting over a fictional piece of land all set in the future.  If its not like killzone or ace combat 5 then I won't pay for it but I'll keep my eye out for addons of that nature.  Once they start coming out I will pay for it.  Reason being, we're all eager to glorify our countries with all these unused addons but the fact is we just keep on glorifying war. A real war hawk doesn't advocate war, he positions properly in case of war.

  3. addon idea:  since all this reality is really saddening me out....

    they each got their own army, air force, and navy, but they share a body of land.  One country goes with a grey color scheme going with a patriotic theme of government and the other has a camouflage green and camouflage desert color scheme to go with the practical nature of war.  That'd be dope.  We could use HYK's new release as the generic practical army because the american flag on there is kinda non existant or stankonia, but then we need a generic enemy addon.  Then they'll each need their own set of vehicles.  Or how's this, tonal vs. the rebels, that might work. Kinda like ace combat, and its the future as well.  I can probably do it with already existing addons...


  4. ia drang has some nice clearings.  I want an island that is fictionally two different countries that lay next to one another and the addon pack comes with two fictional armies.  That'd be really nice.  I just want an addon of two fictional different countries like ace combat five. I'm tired of keeping it so real, its got my mind on all this real war when sometimes i don't want to imagine the real people being killed. Thats what I think is the problem with the addon commmunity so far. They keep making real countries.

Okay I came up with a scenario.  It's the future and mankind embarks upon creating an AI so that men no longer have to fight wars.  They do this in a very remote desert region.  The first prototype works well.  It does all its told.  They send it on test missions and everything.  The robots are sent into war for the first time.  They come back and on arrival take the complex over.  They begin creating their own robots called wanzers which run off of human power.  They then run the island.  Their only goal...to destroy mankind.  They form a government where the first born of every family must be turned into a battery for a wanzer, but the rest of the family is allowed to live freely minus any taxes or anything like that.  That also means the worlds governments can't nuke the place. Luckily, a weapon was made powerful enough to take the minigears out in one shot. The morcarb. Efforts must be made to eliminate the robot threat once and for all because at the rate their going, the wanzer requires two morcarb clips to take one out.    

    The mini gears would be the prototypes and the wanzers would be the ones that run off of humans as batteries.  If you'd like to help me, email me at peanuckle_00@yahoo.com.

    that is from the cpp of the satcom. as you can see it has no magazines entry, therefore it cannot be fired, therefore i cannot trigger a sound file to play for if this weapon is fired. It would seem.

Thanks for clearing that up Red.  I think the problem is in the event handler.  is dryfire an event handler?  the satcom doesn't necessarily fire.  Its a dryfire that makes the static noise happen and it doesn't have ammo.  So is there a dryfire event handler? I'm looking at the name of the ammo for the satcom and it says displayNameMagazine="SatCom Battery";

    I don't want this thing to fire off a missile though....thats why I'm hoping I can get a sound to play from dryfire alone. Where can I get an eventhandlers list?

    Nothing worked. So I figured I'd change the init from:

    radioman AddEventHandler ["fired",{_this exec "onfiring.sqs"

    "}]

    to:

    radioman AddEventHandler ["empty",{_this exec "onfiring.sqs"}]

    still nothing happened. I still got that generic static noise. i'm thinking of going into the binarized tos seals deal, looking at the scripting to the weapon and seeing what makes the static noise, thats the answer right there.


  9. All feelings aside, since the point of the game is to learn, they'd teach a whole lot more people selling this game to the public, than to some government agency. Smart and smart again. Anyone would find the game dispicable if they didn't know the point of it.


  10. Just a suggestion, if I could remove the rope, id no longer be a captive and the guards could shoot me.  Hint.  Another suggestion, if the rope was gone i could remove whats on my head.  Hint two.  Carry on...

    Edit: You can never discourage someone who wants to push something to the limits for the sake or your own inpatience.


  11. I'm starting to see a new trend in ofp islands to where the islands come "pre-trashed". Lizardia, that new one from invasion 44. Pretty trashed out meaning, kinda already ready for war. Not so clean. I want an island to where it looks like war has hit already. Being an American that'd make sense since we go into war torn, conflicted nations.

My personal feelings on America right now is that it's a quiet disorder.  In the end things work out fine for the smart, wise, and understanding.  The major problems I see are in what American media shows.  Why is it that in national news they'll tell you that there is a low percentage or barbers, but when you flip to local news its only crime and stories that make you go awwwww.  Shouldn't it be vice versa?  I can change my local economy, I can't change the nation's economy.  Let the police know what crimes are going on.  Media in america is so unorganized.  See what I mean?  A quiet disorder.  Lack of information, no, just the misplacement of it is the problem right now.  People are being told stuff that isn't useful. Telemarketing could be the most important tool to a local government official if he used it. Then as the chain of command goes higher, the higher ups report to the higher ups, but who's listening to the people right now, and getting for the people what the people need?

The stryker is built for a combination of technology, speed, and a high amount of people being moved across the ground.  The US Military needs an APC built prioritized for protection whether it move slow or fast.  A vehicle to where security is first and speed is the last of worries.  A tank with more room.  Currently all apc's can be taken out in a flash by a good rpg shooter.  Maybe a good addon idea would be to create a futuristic apc with high armor.


  14. Okay the point id like to now make is....basically what the question of the poll is, but in regards to my campaign would that change? I guess not. The majority has voted that they'd like for a campaign release to be done before release, not mission by mission. I just wondered if there'd be any factors that would change that. It is good to have a clan that helps test your missions one by one though.
