Or get skins on this one to be out with the UH1N =p It be cool to gets these nakid birds out fun having them in missions with the UH1N in operations using Suchys Marines. Trying to fix them so they can slingload humvees and LAV25s. Think Navy colors or airforce paintjobs they are ignored as service units in OFP. Yeah the pods do come on two flavors but you need to make it larger on the chopper. The 19 shot 2.75 pod is more commonly used on most strike and chase birds. I love this bird, its now one of my favorite air assets in game, even did a fair number of really nice missions for it. It only gets better from here.. =)

Well I'll finishe them if your feel like waiting for me to learn how to texture. Otherwize I'll lock in a zip send em your way.. I pulled the armored parts off the D model guys, caused issues with selectios making his ass drag on the ground behind him. The clipping issues, I though was silly alsofixed it in the mode of the AH 64 I made but couldn't really cure it in BIS based AH64s. Besidees was only eye candy for the most part, like removing the parachute off his backside, "AH64 crews don't wear chutes!!!" The added body armor is only useful on the ground doesn't carry through when flying to bird so I removed the parts, to really redo them over so they fit better. Eh mostly just rescaled to fit in the cockpit without the head sticking through the glass. I can gather up everything and emaile it, the hard part is done helmets and config, they have propor weapons load out for the A B model, in the event of a crash landing theu get their rifle and pistol. Kinda didn't follow the thing of giving them MP5s cause most of the rotor heads here still get issued just M16s, and M4s.

I think the next person who asks for pics or release dates should be left infront of a bikerbar, virtually bent over a sawhorse, with his wrists and ankles cuffed and a sign attached to their backside stating free rides. ;P And something even much worse if they pester Master Chief away.. Like forced to complete the mod at bayonett point.

Thats kinda cool, lookslike its been crashed with all the welding patches on the frontal slope. Most of the LAvs I see are painted tan but cause they are used in a desert area in Yuma. And usual really beat to shit from years as a training vehicle.

Send them where? One helmet is textureed out allready, Just not done BDU wearing versions as some units mix between just BDUs or wearing flight suits.

The pilots are don'e just need textures. They looks stupid with white helmets when they have marpet cammo covers on them now. Wanna change the flight suits to marpat as well instead of green. Sigma6 must have fixed it cause the Marine CAF LAV I got does shake on uneven ground like most of the desert maps. Considering doing a desert paint version of the LAV, I can give ya a hand like adding scripts and crap, seeing most of the other mod work is on hold while other take vacations from modding on the mod teams.

Hope you remembered to fix the lod issue in the LAV will stops shaking like chichua on crack. whats with the kneepads, is it a bug they are different sizes? Other than the not wanting my old marines overwritten its good. there is a program that makes changing names and texture pathes a bit nicer in this situation kind a old hex editor of such. Find that and your good to go. Wanna hlep me with my cobra jokies and marine helos? Now ya done?

Fair to warn you DKM heli-scripts are not MP friendly. Low altitudue ejection = death nomater how close to the ground, you survive better staying with bird letting it crash and eat ground. You die instantly if you fall higher than a sertain height, which is odd because you enject from a cargo you don't get hurt as often, when disembarking from blackhawk, asume its a game engine bug. The set up on the Mi2 is a bit more refined, but still going down in helo is usual going to kill you. Common your flying higher that 145 feet in a real chooper when the engine or transmission fails, its the point of no return, you usualy are gonna leave a big hole. Why should it not be the same in game. Should be whimp-mode must be activated instead so they can unlock the eject script. ;) The crash isn't the thing that usualy kills chopper types its the broken rotor blades slicing through the fuselage like a hot knife through cold butter. ;) The AH64s tend to splinter like Bambo, and cause more injuries becoming hypervecity launched frangments. I would seriously look in BAs for scripts on helios, and WGL mods. Like the rotor break warning , and engine over-torquest scripts. The engine start up scripts, WGL and the other AH64 pack use are great. Verbokensens tail rotor failure scripts also are rather decent, and MP friendly. Most of the scripts can be obtained over at the editing depot. Somebody redid it a fourth time with a bit more added to it like raddio chatter, I modified it for some other chopper addons, and added the alarm and crash sounds for when you do go down. But was for transport birds like the KA60 and Mi24D, can't remember where I found the first code by should be a link posted in FLASHFX 1.8 threads pointing to it. Tail rotor failure problem one is its usualy point to it to cause the failure. Nice if you get repaired you can return to operation. It tampers with fuel settings and brings down the bird that way. Also engine fire scripts which that mod uses that I like, including a fuel/engine explossion if you fly around too long on fire. Wannaa see thess scripts in cation sugest you take a bis bird into heavy combat with the flashFXmod 1.8, the tailrotor failure is kinda hard to cause cause the AI's often aim at the commander, going tow to tow against other helos will get it if they don't get missile happy and frag you from 2000 away with a ATGM. Do not try to balance the AH64 against the Mi24. The hind is armored titanium dual walled fuselage, often with some matraial poured in between it to make it even harder to penetrate, used to be concrete, they changed it for something lighter. It is a flying tank powered by a pair of 2,200 hp engines, it has a higher cruising speed than than the AH64's 184 mph, usualy 23mm or smaller only pisses off Hinds. The AH64 is a thin skined vulerable to small arms fire attack helo, you often fly low and use the terrain to your advantage. Most of the russain made choppers can hand your ass back to you on a plater, your to use the AH64s stand off capabilites to engage threat aircraft. If your closer than 1500 meters to your target your too close. Most gamers seldom use this equipment like it should be used, which is the big shame, its gonna be some MP whore that gets shot down by camping whores with manpads loitering out around respawn points. Yeah got demo crews for an AH64 project that never got finished, we had a new model from the ground up but Ab and d and the navy version. One of the guys helping in the project died, the reast were deployed so its dead in the water. The lack of intrests over at Combat mod and how the AH1-T, W, and Z went kinda dead as well, all the new pilot units for all these birds are sitting, mostly texture work needs completetion, you game, I can't texture for shit... Color blind and not Photoshop savy. I'm a deluxepaint head.

I look at it this way we still got Earl and PSC and the BAS guys just they now belong to things at a higher level, which is wise if to beable to see improvements in OFP2. People come people go. hell RHS is one of the first mods and were still kicking. We do not release crap, and we often work with other mods to achive high level addons to be made. A fair number of us also help Combat Mod. =P Making sure quality west addons were produced, don't believe me spend time in the 'readme' files of their addons. So we are not just sitting on our thumbs. Sorry things are not made fast enough to please, addon collectors. Demands of standardized levels of quality set how quickly these will manifest themselves out to the public. Everything now must be high level detail modelwise, otherwise people will flame on and on. Everything must be feature compleate, I push for realistic operation for everything created. For a long time we have lacked good texture artists, usualy if the project didn't intrest them we couldn't get it done. Lost members to other mods is another problem they rather comit their time and efforst elsewhere. The all show no go problem, major thing I REALLY loath. A person gets use to drop one project for theirs and never produces said item, and we end up stuck in having to retract aviablitiy or replace it with something better. =/ That still causes a number of issues, like pissing off the people who started the first project only to shelve it and they leave angry to go elsewhere. The many choppers we got can't be released cause have to add lots of scripts and features to them and make sure they are MP compatable, update textures, to high res redo the model and add more details. Research more and more. . The pilot pack finaly was repaired at least but the models are so old now I had to totally overhaul them from scratch.

Well seeing the apachees main body is thnner than the sheet meetal of most compact cars mainly augmented with kevlar plates in vital areas and the seats, anything hitting the forwards section of the bird not small arms fire is gonna be fatal, the new helmets have face masks to add more protection. The armored lexan often shattered and injured flight crews. Which offers greater protection than the old open-faced IHHADs helmets used in the A, abd B and still used D models. As well as armored plates worn by crews of heavy kelvar to protect vital areas and work with the armored seating systems. Didn't take the more recent pics of the crews which would show it. You can poke a hole in a chopper with a screwdriver. Usualy if your flying this bird correctly if your hit you can make a survivable crash landing, using auto rotation. Enough energy is stored in the rotors to put her down if your not going too fast while flying low if engine failure happens, sneaking around trees and buildings increases your surviabliity, I usualy lock flyinheights at 15 to 20 that kames the AI fly like Map of the earthjust low enough crashes are survivable, just high enough they won't knock down trees with flir block. Even nicer your now flying nnow enough for gunners to engage enemy infantry on the ground.

You will need to find the VIT NAVY verssion if the AH1T Cobra for Marine units, this will be in a grey green cammo color, hat will be more correct for Marine units in operation, and find the TOW or SEB Marine infantry units. They are back in the wooldland cammo patern, with cammoed faces for textures, and correct weapon load outs even crewmen for marine based equipment, like LAV 25 and Am track. ftp://www.gamezone.cz:8021/ofpd/unofaddons2/NUT_UUSMC.zip Theses became aviable recently but the Marines only used this cammo in the Mount City, training area and dropped it, they stuck to the old urban patern commonly seen on the Marines in Halflife one. The Army kept the AH1S for a long time till about early 2000 when enough AH64s were aviable to field to all units, I still see AH1S in operation as training birds and in the Reserve and Gaurd , just all Active duty units have gone to MSIP AH64As which is a updated A model with longbow capabilites and radome. Still not enough D modelds avible to go around, so upgrades to the A model came as a stop gap measure so all systems can operate in combat. This time period best to retain Heli freaks AH-64A even if Green was still primary colors. Was messing with the AH1S addon to make it a bit more realistic for combat ops, like implimenting the having to stop to engage with a TOW missile, its a wire guied missile hitting stuff on the move is diffcult and risky to not get the guide wire tangled on the way to its targets. The AH64 was armed with TOWs first and refitted with fire and forget missiles HELLFIRE. Oddly the Cobra failed to get hellfires which would ahve exstended his life, it being a smaller target was still to its advantage, which main drawback was underpowered, Cobras couldn't take off with full weapons load and fuel, A few trys firring the flir and mast system commonly on the Kiowa attack scout choppers failed. Due to the weight issues, and the big push for replacement to AH64s, which was a faster aircraft as well. the AH64 was not ment to be kept in large numbers, mainly the AH64 was replacing a degisignated number of AH1s, all were to be replaced by the AH-66A/LHX platform, which is no longer in the systems due to cost overruns and other failures that couldn't be corrected. Now just went with AH64s

Think the ejection abilities in the AH64 should be removed, US chopper crews do not take chutes, nore do they bail out only Russain rotory wing aircraft have the bail out capbilities if not equiped with ejection seat systems like many of the Kamavo designed helis. If you didn't alter the models body for a true Longbow, you should them classify at the MSIP AH64A which is a updated model A with longbow radome, ATGMs, ATAMs, and avioncs upgrade, as well as sensores upgrade, the metal deflector systems to keep the gun clear of being damaged by FOD. I have AH64s crews made with IHADS helmets only needing texture work to be compleated, if wanted with first and second gen helmet systems. Why remake something thats done already?

Sorry but he was working on long before you picked it up on it, this mod, at least I like cause don't have to screw with any of the addons to make anything work or DL any extra crap. He's only moving guns around and infantry units. Only reason I like the flash fx replacement mod is cause I don't like y2K.. and the other kinda mods like them you need like a machine that can run Doom and HL2 at the same time to make it work right. =P runs fine on current system hardwards even on my really crappy Voodoo V card seeing my big 128 meg card took dump.

Funny the like the F117 lost over Kosivo, now in display in the war Atrosities (sp) muesuem. Shot down by small arms firebullets marked the hull destabliazing their aircrafts flight control surfaces, causing it break up and crash. Russain units manage to capture the crash site to add more insult to injury annoying the photos I have of Russain army units surrounding the wreakage, before it was gathered up and taken away, later to be found on display when the war was over. ;P Seen one break at an airshow and nuke a back yard after something fell off durring a flyby, ugly blocky, and can't fly without computers, the SR71 is still a sexy bird compaired to the Nighthawk, just the Nighthawk isn't a fluid leaking SOB like the Blackbird was on the ground. Still good for getting rid of important buildings at night. ;)

sounds like a personal issue, maybe I'll convert some RL armored traning missiones over for a armoed battle campain so theses tanks get a true start, really pisses me off not having Armored MP/SP missions.

Well was working on a race bike addon with DS, I've continued the project and overhauled the models, at least and implimented this script to the bikes, its linked to the engine RPMs now so wheelies are controlable. Just AI like to haul ass with theses bikes now and often ride the back tire till the back flip the bike and kill themselves. AI also now can race the bikes trying to fix the bikes so they run on the racing tracks used on OFP more. and use new animations created for them.

cool, kinda, honsestly I rather a replacement model too bad I had started new models of the AH64 project that died with new flight models, both A and D models and the naval version that never saw production. including pilot models with IHADS systems. Including the new armored helmet gunner pilot systems they use now. Maybe I'll turn them over to one of these new mods to be completed.

Laser created new hand models already, as well as several of the WWII mods with new head models as well as Lauma's new head model and upcoming unfied Anatomy pack with all new models. Unless you are creating something and have development images to show here, it would be nice if you quit spamming the boards with many posts. Take screenshots with the printscreen button and post to one of the free image posting sites thank you... That would be greatly appriciated then you making thread after thread here with virtually nothing.

Lav 25 has a wire cutter on it at least most of the ones I;ve seen They used to have a wire cutter on most of ther ground vehicles. they do drive it thtrough jungle after all, maybe? But even the ones the Marines use out here they got at least one wire cutter. Please make sure the attached gear will have random placements.

Have to mention the BAS CH47 is a special built bird for the 106 SOAR aviation BTN to support Rangers btns and other special operations elements IE Delta Force Special forces Seals., and was only brought into operation in the 90s, they used a different model that is the predicessor to the BAS's shithook. That was more a flying control center than a transport bird. They were still using Blackhawks, Broncos, Chinooks, C130, C141s, and hueys . The Huey was still mainstay of the Army rotory fleet in 85, the UH60 model A in 85 had design issues and nicknamed Crashhawk. Unlike the huey which was brought into durring war time and got the bugs worked out a lot quickly. And 20 years in service time, it was under powered and often over loaded. The Blackhawk mostly in small numbers for the first out units like 101st, who become air assualt as they got reslotted from Airborne when more choppers became aviable, the 82nd Airborne, Most of the Ranger units, also, got them for rappid deployment. slowly the blackhawks were getting issued, then in 93 - 97 the UH1 had a gear vibration problem that grounded most of the chopper fleet. Thus forcing the Blackhawks production to be spead up so the Aarmy would still have aviation assets, due to there were still a lot of units still operating UH1Ds and H models. Think its funny how they moan the UH1 was such a death trap, yet our local chopper btn hasn't lost one in 20 years, first year getting UH60Bs lose two in a single day. But crash one Osprey and they get grounded? ;) Well that day four choppers were lost to be honest. The big bitch about the Osprey was between the military and civil air personal that operate the airpark out there. There are a few hueys to choose from now at least, Selectthis' at least is a stand alone unit, even if its the wrong color. The M601A1 was still in use back them with the Marines and stayed in till the 2000, Oddly the M48 was also in the Natinal Guard up to 92 when replaced by the M60 when active army got the M1 with the 105mm gun. Only two models of the hummve then the 4door fastback, M998, and the troop carrier to replace the old W300 Dodge power wagon M880A1, M151 1/4 ton and M741 series Jeep and as well as the Gamma Goat. They evetyally made a Ambuance body that fit the humvee and got rid of the M880 serise ambulance as well. and brought in the GMC tatical trucks so everything run deisel fuel. Humvvees were ok but kinda only good for fiedl service duty running on roads and being unides in urban areas was much to be desired in humvees as they were too wide for narrow streets. gotta give vehicle drivers M3a1 45cal. ACP grease guns, these were issued to drivers and medics up to the first gulfwar, often armored vehicle drivers and other tight quarters equipment operators. I think its funny the M1 tank usualy only had one M1A1s for the loader the driver had a M3A1, and all had M1911s or M92Fs. If you dismounted the tank the loader dismounted the loaders MG the gunner got the M16A2, and the TC just kept his pistol Or another M3A1.

"Heh, the Mi26 cargo scripts, needs work I'm afraind, and no it will not work on anything fixed winged like it does on the helos. I've blow the bird up a few dozen times making too sudden of a turn with it and creating the bounding box bounce bug which exploded the cargo then the helo. People are already bitching cause they can't use the FATBOY in MP without major issues. Even more so folks pining about it who should know better about this issue, that I find rather sad. Seeing this thread is mostly because of somebody too lazy to use the "Search function". But I'm sure once a mod notices they will deal with it their way..
