Not really. You can edit the stringtable so that you can change what the text of a radiomessage is. (works in MP.) EG you might change 'Fuel low' to 'I've got your back' - but the audio will still say fuel low.
Thats about all you can do though AFAIK (anyone, feel free to prove me wrong!)
And I would also like this feature in OFP2

Bonko is right, and WGL does also change the armour values, making armour more vulnerable from the rear and sides (especially rear)
-
No question about it, in unmodified OFP Armour is an absolute deathtrap, expecially against AI in armour. WGL remedies this some, but what is really needed to make armour effective/ realistic is a more detailed damage model, such as in combat mission. Of course, that would mean more work for the engine, which is probably why its so simple (but still better than any other game in the same category.) That would mean that basic RPGs and LAWs are effectively useless against heavy armour- the way it should be.

We have big plastic bottle things with handles and screw tops. 2, 4 or 6 litres

A feature like this would definitely be an option you could toggle on or off in the main options.

Try the mobo first; you don't want to hook up a PSU giving the wrong voltages to another perfectly fine PC...although I think you'd guessed that

1) I don't dislike you
2) original post was not a flame or meant to be rude, at worst it was meant as scathing humour.
3) EVERY time placebo says something to me he is rude, arrogant and pushy. And then tells me off for what he says is rude and arrogant.

No, he does not have a point. Advising completely computer illiterate people not to mess around with their system is no different than advising people to learn how to drive before jumping in a car.
And I don't see why he can ignore rules he enforces so rigidly on others. Thats not a discussion.

Quit with the irrelevant analogies, you displayed your usual offensive attitude. The analogy is not irrelevant. What would you do in that situation? You'd tell him that he had no business driving a car. Don't be hypocritical.
Quote[/b] ]I could easily name 5 users of this forum who have technical knowledge well above 95% of everyone else here, yet I cannot recall them feeling the need to put someone down when offering their help.
Are you saying I feel the need to put someone down when offering them help? That's pretty insulting, really. And not what an objective observer would say, overall. Don't let your bias show much, eh. Maybe I should have put a smiley after 'I'd never have guessed'.
Quote[/b] ]Your comments were so out of line I was tempted to give you another WL+.
From now on that's what I'll do, post restrictions obviously have no effect on you,
rude, arrogant and offensive. Oh, the rules don't apply to you. Never mind then.

I did give him help. Please read the message.
I didn't say everyone had to be great with computers right from the start. Please read the message. Theres nothing wrong with needing a little coaching. Please read the message.
If someone waves at you in the street from the window of their car and asks you 'which is the go faster lever?' you wouldn't think them safe to drive, would you?

There is a certain level of basic skills required to operate machinery. If the level isn't obtained, there's no point in the person operating the machinery. Not rude, condescending or arrogant.

So if the trainer modifies the .exe, or some other "core code", it'll probably activate FADE. If you find out that it doesn't activate FADE, can you post it here so we know? I've always wanted to run around in a mission (previously completed, no cheating) and have fun without worrying about being killedI've never done it myself, but if you were to unpbo the mission file and change the player character to setcaptive true it would have the same effect.

I've seen the big (10l??) bags they put into milk dispenser machines, but I've never seen just bags sold in a shop. Still, you heathens can't get Bru over there.
Ha ha!

Hmmm..how do exaclty make backup files not really good at copmuter stuffNo! I'd never have guessed. :P
Copy all important stuff off the hard drive onto something else. A CD, a DVD, another hard drive, a USB drive, several thousand floppy disks, a tape drive or a punched paper reel.
If you don't know how to do that, get off the computer.

That would be cool. But how would they do it in multiplayer maps? Since I live in the US and someone else might live in England it'd get confusing if it was raining on my screen but not on the English player's. I guess it could be where the server was located it got the weather for that region, that would make it easy.Where the mission is located or where the server sets it, it'd be.

Let me make this clear:It COULD be done. It WOULD put a lot more strain on the engine, having to do loads of extra collision detection, which is the MOST intensive thing in the engine in terms of CPU time.
And I've yet to see a decent reason for wanting it in; something that will add much to the game.
It would be nice.... but it's not needed, and it 'costs' too much.
Miss this?

Are you the SimonS with the MS paint style banner from dod forums?

Quote[/b] ]One wonders why you reply to topics like this in the first place then. Mirror, mirror, on the wall.....PS I can't see a way to describe anyone who supports Bush as anything BUT weak-minded.
Flame-bait.....
No, I'm totally serious. I cannot do anything but question the sanity of anyone, who is not a rich white tycoon, who supports Bush. What possible reasons are there?
Cheated his way into office.
Cheated the black and minority voters out of their appeal against his discriminatory voting system.
Ran up a huge defacit.
Spent almost half his time in office on vacation before september 11th
Has some EXTREMELY dodgy links with members of Bin Laden Family and Saudis associated with 11/9.
Invaded Afghanistan in order to get that pipeline built, and as a scapegoat when they had nothing to do with 11/9
Invaded Iraq for no good reason when they had nothing to do with 9/11 AND no WMD
Is fucking over families of casualties of the conflicts he has started
Is really, really, really unintelligent.
Is a christian zealot who thinks he is on a mission from god
etc
What are the good points? Please enlighten me.

Good idea. MS Flight sim has had this feature for a few versions, I think ( I don't have it.) Would be good to have a setting for mission makers to enable in MP, so the date, time and weather for the area could be 'real time.'

Truth is many the people who roam this offtopic forum need to give up the trolling and find soemthing more productive to do with their time. I almost never venture into these damn political discussions because I see nothing but hatred of americans and their government. I dunno, maybe this is your only outlit for your anger against us, because I can't think of anything you can do that would actually be constructive and that would actually influence world politics. Complaining in favor or against anything thing really has no effect. As my speech teacher once said "People get this strange idea that they can convince someone, no matter how strongly they feel about something, to go the other way. This is simpily untrue and a waste of everyones time."Find a better way to change our foreign policy other than trying to convince total strangers on a forum that they need to change their beliefs in their government, because that will never work except with the weak minded, and I don't see any weak minded individuals on either side of this debate.
Just some thoughts. Have a nice evening gentlemen, I have wasted enough time with this thread.

There are definitely benefits to using larger caliber ammunition, however the 'knock down effect' is pure movie myth.
Killing power isn't.
Bush Wins Stupidity Awards!

Its not a charade: Bush was voted, overwhelmingly, as the stupidest. Not by one or two people, but by milllions of people from all over the world. Its not something made up by a couple of guys or anything like that.
Face it, the guy is not that smart, is he?
And there is a difference between patriotism and putting up with a load of utter bullshit.
