But what is everyone speaks with their natural accent, then nobody will be able to understand them? And when I try to explain myself to every bugger so they can think I am a Robot.

    Not even close smile.gif

I already translated myself above smile.gif

  2. IMO if they do implement female soldiers, it would mean that there would be a female equivalent for every soldier, thus in MP game the slots would simply say 'soldier' or 'machine gunner' - and the players config would determine whether the in game avatar was male or female.

  3. When I did cambrian patrol we had to swim across a loch with full belt kit, ~50 pounds of weight in a bergen and our rifles.

    It is possible smile.gif

(You couldnt just jump straight into the water though, you'd have to waterproof kit first - takes about 2 minutes)

  4. I don't like having to stop to issue orders. I like the way it is now, so that we dont have to stop. I like the basic idea, but I'd want to be able to use generic names and just numbers so I can e.g. defend myself if an enemy suddenly appears. Or do the orders while sneaking round behind something.

nah, it would be scrambled/ encoded and your average footsoldier on the ground wouldn't be able to uncode/scramble it.

  7. what Ntstlkr was fine, I was more sort of trying to stop the 'flak jackets make you able to absorb 2 or 3 bullets before you start getting hurt' brigade. I'd like to see flak jackets providing limited protection from shrapnel but none from small arms (unless the medical side is more detailed, then the person with a flak jacket could survive longer without dieing without medical attention.)

The details about the new US helmet is irrelevant though because the game won't be contemporary, so the soldiers will have the old 'rounds go straight through' style helmets.

And I assume there will be more than one side in the game, so the US having a super new bulletproof helmet isn't that relevant.

Although maybe there isn't two sides! Maybe its going to be US vs US, blue on blue simulator biggrin.gif

Flak jackets do not provide any protection from small arms fire, they just hold you together a bit better till you can see a medic.

This happens so rarely however (maybe 1:10000 or even less likely) that you could ignore it<span id='postcolor'>

The angle that deflection occurs at is so high that if you weren't wearing a big bulky helmet the round would not have hit you anyway smile.gif

  10. The Eject feature is occasionally useful on vehicles. You can eject without damage below 20 mph (or whatever the game units are) and with only a little damage above that to about 25.

This is useful when the enemy are shooting at you.
