@killagee im running vista and bought arma tru sprocket download services. It all worked fine here so its not a compatiblity issue. It is probably cuased by a corrupt download. Try to disable any virus/spyware software and downloadmanagers before downloading. If i recall correct u can download the file again at their site.. id try that 1st. Hope it helps and shame on sprocket for not giving u any proper support.

It's been a while since i checked this thread. The reason i posted this because it's a easy way to create a solid coop mission with it. Which also shows some pro mission editing and scripting in a Arma enviroment. I used it to refresh my rusty OFP editing experience and in the process get some cool mission with it to play. it's impossible to recreate a complete coop campaign with this method. The current MP engine doesn't support 'Campaign' modus. Just a collection of single missions. Alot of ArmA Campaign mission aren't even interesting to convert to MP due to the style. But i have to agree that it would be awesome to play the campaign in coop modus 'out'of the box'.

My personal opinion: All games will be hacked/cracked and their always will be group of people who wouldn't pay 30-50 eu for a game. This is the same for commercial successes like BF2 etc. But with most games a illegal copy will make it unusable for online gameplay and with ArmA the lasting gameplay is online, so my guess is that the eventual sales will be pretty good. The success of ArmA is mainly gonna be decided by the community which gonna make new missions/models/mods/etc.

My impressions of ArmA: First of all, if u like(d) OFP then u will enjoy ArmA alot. It's basicly the same game. And thats a good thing. Pro's very nice and practical graphics infantery AI is alot better a very well designed island to play on better but still the same way working editor alot of small little points that improve realism experiance Con's Sounds are abit cheeky and 3d sounds are displaced (biggest prob for a good war experiance) Air controls are almost unplayable, or require alot of training Some remarks System specs are abit high, and even if u have high specs u will get occasinal client lagg when there are alot of objects (eg in citys). I feel it mainly is holding back due to CPU/RAM. The game is pretty hard, on regular modus i was getting shot alot. I like this alot because it gives u a feel of caution all the time I haven't played around with the netcode yet so i cant realy comment on that. All in all i love ArmA and i'm confident BIS will sort out the minor issues at hand.

check ur 'my documents' directory. There should be a dir called ARMA profiles.

After some playing around in the campaign, i remembered a cool feature OFP had... playing the cmapaign (or all official mission for that matter) in COOP modus. And the best part .. it evens works depbo the campaign.pbo and u will get all missions/movies out of the campaign. Copy a mission to ur editor location, modify it in the editor so it has mutiple players. Some mission need a adjustment in the victory conditions to end properly. Save the mission as MP place the original scripts/briefings/music/etc back in the mission folder and pbo it. Voila a real cool made mission in coop modus... enjoy
