  1. Nice to see this community supporting BIS. Although Tiscali is on thin ice with this community, it wont effect them very much. Unless we all decide, on a personal level, to make sure everyone we know hears our plights against them. I am going on a YouTube spree later tonight to post my opinion on every video they post. If you haven’t read their response to Maruk… Please read http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=5364 Maruk, you have every right to defend your “baby†all you want, especially when it is being misrepresented. In short, Tiscali can lick my balls...:bitch: Sorry for the spam guys………
  2. Open the box, read the manual over and over again until I can replace my Compaq Presario in Jan 2010.….
  3. I have a lot of respect for most of the users in this community, but in the last 24 hours, I have seen something I was hoping wouldn’t rear its ugly head. I visit the OFPDR site regularly to laugh at all the immature rants, only to return here to see and read educated thoughtful posts/threads. Plain and simply put, quit bitching and whining:o:….. No one knows what the final build will perform like. Get back to the community that OFPDR cant obtain. BIS team…….Things look really good, keep up the good work. I know “I†will spend years playing this sim.:bounce3:

    Mission Editor in Console?

Hang in Avibird, I feel your pain in Patience. In my humble opinion, they wouldn’t miss out on the console market opportunity for nothing. Its numbers/profit "far" exceed the PC market. Please, no flame intended.

    North American Publisher

Is it fun being stuck in the past? You dont still want software on tapes do you? Hows about having ArmA2 on a nice stack of ~6970 floppy disks? I don’t like purchasing "AIR" and that’s what you get from itunes exc. Give me a tangible hard copy. If the costs were significantly lower, due to the lack of print and product, I would consider it. But they are NOT. As for a NA publisher, I believe this is what’s holding them back from Console disclosure.

    Mission Editor in Console?

I wasn’t implying M$ stops company’s from creating/adding DLC, I meant they encourage company’s to reserve/hold back the "goodies" to make more money.  If they make the editor available for consoles, they allow us to share infinite free dlc………  They are learning quickly not to allow that potential market to dwindle.  Because of this strategy,  they wont give an editor for purchase via DLC. As for Colin McRae,  I couldn’t believe what they did to that great series.  While I was trying out the demo,  I had no idea he that he had passed away.  I knew something was wrong with Dirt,  he was no longer their.  Tribute to Colin,  one of the greats in Rally may he rest in peace.

    Mission Editor in Console?

I have some deep concerns about why we have not seen any release info on consoles yet.  In light of the recent removal of the editor in Ofp2,  its comes to me that M$ is influencing the market for DLC that is purely for the purpose of , well Marketability.  I know this is not news,  but to see them possibly controlling something like this could be the main reasons for why we are not getting news on the release or publisher for the 360.  If BIS is a loyal company, then they are having the same difficulty with M$.  I fear, that by the time this is old news, we will either have a dumbed down version for the consoles, or no release at all. To BIS:  Please stick to your guns on this issue, we don’t want a sell out.  If M$ leaves you with no other choice, don’t release the 360 version.  I am an avid console player,  38 and disabled and to broke to put a pc together.  But don’t let them ruin this game.  I am sorry to my fellow consolers for this comment.....

Sparks…. I am concerned of this situation myself. Many publishers have forced company’s to reorganize their strategies for the general Market. EA has been one of the worst at 6 month releases. The good news is that the gamming industry will be THE major source for entertainment in the future. This will allow all niches to be stroked. I can only hope that we can have dedicated company’s that will not sacrifice to much for the general sales in today’s market. I believe BIS is such a company. But balance is very difficult when you see $$$ sending you to South Pacific Atolls on Million dollar yachts.

    Business as Usual...

Hello to the community.  I have been watching this forum for a year or so in response to the possibility of getting a decent sim for the Xbox 360, and yes the PS3 and 360 are Next Gen Consoles.  Speculation on this is only brought up from “ PC and next Gen consoles TBDâ€.  I played F-19 stealth fighter on a Monochrome monitor with an IBM that had a 40 meg hard drive.  But I played Atari and pong to.  I am a 38 year old  disabled guy that loves simulation style gaming and I understand that each platform has its needs.  But since when does that give some one the right to bash on a console player.  Now before this gets closed or flamed, my main point of this post is not to start another argument,  but to express my concerns for the future possibilities of our needs as gamers.  I have read many comments from Console players regarding their needs/desires for ArmA II to be released on the console market.  In response to those many comments,  I have read TO many disrespectful,  not to mention, ostracizing responses. The reason this is so intensely disrupting to me is because for the sake of future gaming,  we need to be One gamming community to support all options.  This will only allow us the best results.  BIS will release ArmA II to the console market,  its for the company’s  survival in the future.  But this will only allow more financial support for the future installments.  The last thing I want as a gamer,  is for the market to stop producing games for the PC,  or to dumb down games for the “general marketâ€.  Doing this would only reduce the general quality.  If you believe the console market is a bad thing,  that’s your opinion,  But lets not encourage people to leave, or to make fun of the fact that they are “unintelligent†or don’t deserve Sim style gaming because they play on consoles.  The difference in financial terms for the Console vs. PC market is Monumental.  But that doesn’t have to mean we don’t get Highly technical Sims/games with Depth.  If this company doesn’t succeed in ArmA II, there is a chance no one will see the next installment.  What does the community think about the financial/general  impact that the console release will bring to BIS?  If your going to input something,  Make it legit.... Thanks... My PC  :  Alienware Area 51 7500 Console:  360 PC knowledge = none Please excuse my writing skills…I have none.
