I removed the stuff from the other thread a few minutes after I posted it - was a bit much once I saw this thread. I thought it was odd to be watching a satirical piece on Chammy from someone who seemed rather protagonistic (yet polite! ) in the CSM thread. My bad. Fill your boots man, I was just puttin my POV out there  Â

I like the second, lighter colored wheat field Bravo6. It's cinematic but not unrealistic. Does the time of day and weather come to bear influence on the aesthetics of the wheat in-game? If so, they're perfect they way they are.

Set your CPU to stock settings (no overclock) and retry. Sometimes overclocking proves to be counter-performance.

Bravo6, admittedly, I was quite pessimistic when I saw you announce this island. But my gawd, man, did you squash that sentiment. The screenshots and island are looking fan-freakin-tastic. The wheat fields provide astonishing attitude to the look of the map. Great job buddy, good luck with finishing/releasing.

WEll I was going to release the stand alone CSM Beta2 this past weekend , but I only had a few responses for some assitance on the Config. Â Although Binkster has finally made his presence on MSN thank GOd so we will see now. I had checked out several other sound mods and noticed that there are some sounds from my mod in theirs as well. Cham. Seriously. Get the sounds to Durg. He's been there from the start man. Willing, knowledgable and part of the CSM Team. I don't understand what the problem is. He whipped up a config for ENTIRE set of sounds you sent over to me, in one night....sometime before I went AWOL on the Armed Assault front. It needed a "bit" of work but...one night's work...pretty amazing. I know it's "your" mod, but you spent alot of time on those sounds and they really shouldn't be held back any longer. They're all of utmost excellence. Sorry I haven't been around - had to make some sudden, drastic changes in the 3/4 months. Hope all is well with your g/f and your kid. How's that new house? Â

I think it is a myth. Anything else is a combination of trolling and people who can't look into the options screens. It's not a myth. I lost my well trusted right-hand man (and biological brother) when I moved to Armed Assault. He gets physically sick for hours after viewing Armed Assault for a mere 15 minutes. The patches made it better, with 1.0 causing the effect the worst. Still not good enough for him to play. Turning floating point down, helps, but is not the be-all-end-all fix for it as it affects the same to person's afflicted with motion sickness as a result of the on-screen animation.

Cham, what's the status with the config? Is Binkster still onboard? I heard he's "idle." Durg still needs a copy of the sounds so that he can get a config on the go interim. Even if you sent the sound files to a rapidshare upload, he could download that way (nobody will know the link except for him).

I had this very issue with my Core2Quad. It was overclocked to 3.2Ghz, temps were good, voltage was good, performance was crap. Once I rolled it back to 2.4Ghz, Armed Assault performed waay better. You could try setting stock voltage/FSB/Mhz for the parts you have.

You went out of your way to create a config that leaves everything in tact yet grabs what you like from all. Great idea and congrats on the release of the config!
