Awesome work there and an aggressor will be nice too so we can recreate our very own reg flag exercises. I thought the pic in your sig was the side view of your model and that you had put the IDF skin on it, didn't realise its from a real photo (thats how good your add-on is I suppose).
@Daniel yeah I got round to working out how to use mando properly just now and got to use the LGB bombs. its not as easy as I mightve hoped to use (mostly because of view distance meaning I only have limited time to designate targets while flying over head but its pretty fun none the less!

I am always curious to wonder if it would be possible for the pilot to use the LANTIRN pod on the f16 to self designate targets for GBU? Im just curious since surely there would be some way for the pilot to self laser while flying? This model does feature the laser pod right?
nice work so far by the way, love flying the current model
one last question Myke: will the update when its released be followed by/include IDF skin. You seem to have IDF f16 in yer sig :)

very nice mod, been enjoying flying the f1 and driving the frigate, but there's a few bugs with the frigate:
-I keep falling of the back part way through the heli pad straight into the water
-the editor icon is the wrong around with the bow end at the stern end of the unit
- when you get out you end up in the sea somewhere away from the ship, on the helipad would make much more sense surely

suggest- make it so we can get up onto the top via the ladder. this must be possible surely since the drivable LHD by dbo still has working ladders and doors despite moving.

Catapult scripts are mainly added for the AI, cause they can't take off on their own.F35s and Harriers use the VTOL mode when taking off, but most of the work is done via a setvel command that look for the orientation of the LHD and then applies correct x and y velocity components to the plane and an small Z component.
hey ai don't need help for taking off from the lhd with the harrier or f35 they can both take off fine without catapult as long as they have most of the length of the carrier to take off. this is easily demonstrated when using thise lhd runway mod and example mission http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=97603&highlight=USS+Khe+Sanh. The ai have no trouble taking off, but landing is another matter. they seem only to do conventional landings and go straight off the end of the lhd as its too short.
maybe there's some way to make the ai do a vertical landing with a script then?

this is a great idea. maybe you could replace the merlin with rksls merlin as well? is that much harder than the landrovers?

For me DLC should be a useful tool for mission makers like a 3d mission maker, something like the one that vbs2 uses.

I just realised how big Anglesey is, rather huge compared to even Duala,o so maybe it would need to be scaled down a bit

I want you to make an island based on Angkesey, North Wales, UK. Its somewhat large, but not very densely populated compared to Chernaraus, so doesnt ahve as many buildings, except for a few towns. But it does include an ir base used by RAF for jet pilot training and SAR helicopters and It has a major port connecting UK to Ireland (which is actually located on a smaller island separated by a shallow channel.
Ignore the mainland and the bridges and you can have a fun. I used to live there so itd be cool to play Arma on it!!!
A lack of accurate building models wouldnt be a problem!

ANA are sticking with Mi-17s and Mi-8s for the foreseeable future, along with some ageing Mi-24 hinds for attack. source: air forces monthly
edit: nice mod. I second the request for UN colours, but also request US Army colours as well!

Makes no sense why BIS dont just let you use this stuff in their own game? not like your taking stuff from a more expensive game in their line-up and putting it in their older titles.

The guy who converted them to Arma 1 doesn't seem to post here any more. Dont think he made the models etc, so don't know whose permission you'd need, but the Rocket guy seemed not to have had trouble.

sounds like a beast. Just out of curiosity, why is it when I put opfor pilots into empty typhoons pilot seat in the editor they end up flying everywhere barrel rolling? I have no idea if this to do with just the typhoon addon or not, haven't tried it with other aircraft.
