the first pack was released in the LLBrig 31 Release Thread.
I want to announce our second addon pack.
Planned contend:
- new targets for shooting training
- lots of signs for shooting ranges and military bases
- special magazine for the G22 with ammo which is effected by wind (scripts by Alex.Sworn)
- Bugfixes for LLBrig31 Pack #1

what is the usage of the scale numbered from 0 to 8 in the lower right part of teh scope?its only part from the original Hensoldt scope and has no usage atm for ArmA

Ballistic Shields
in 2 sizes

Known Issues:
- Balistic shields are unbreakable
- error message in Multiplayer without any other errors
- no normal Maps -> .paa textures
- no high Res Texturen ( iam not a textureartist

the problem was that many people in early days of arma was using modified ofp configs.the biggest culprit was this.
class Default {}; empties the default class
class Default; tells the engine that such a class is defined somewhere else.
So incase someone inherits after another addon emptied the class, you will have all kinds of funny effects.
Thats a good info, deano told me before that something changed in 1.05

that shield will be fun in MP, what weapon class is it defined as ?atm: its defined as rifle, the large version as machinegun

After nearly 3 Month of no news about my addons, iam proud the present the latest LLBrig 31 WIP report.
At first there are our sniperrifles from the Arctic warfare series.
AWM, AWS Covert and the AW .50 each comes in three camos fitted to the Sarani landscape. I hope we can release them this weekend since theres only some balancing left to do.
Secondly, i want to present the ballistic shield addon which will also be released the weekend. The shield will be available in 2 sizes and for 10 diffrent units (SWAT, GIGN, OMON, POLICE....). The shield is able to stop every non HE-bullet fired from a handgun (i think thats a ArmA-Limit).

Iam not sure but afaik the Mapfact.net team was working on something like that for OFP/ArmA, iam not sure if they really started work on it or just planned it.

I'd love to know how as well, would cut the size of my weapons pack considerably - wouldn't need loads of seperate models, would just need the base model for each weapon series, and then the proxy locations defined for each optic/attachment.Thats what i hope we can do

Someone statet that in ArmA proxies (weapon) can have proxies. Does anyone found a way to controll them? If we could find a way, there would be an endless use for it (changeable weapon equipment, scopes, lasers........) even zeroing scopes to diffrent ranges would be possible.

@ Feb. 19 2007,00:00)]Let me put it this way: few ideas are really new. You see, we've never claimed having 'invented' all the stuff included in our addon nor did we claim all ideas in it are new. So undoubtedly we did similar things. Where's the problem? Every one is completely free to choose what to use in his mission.BUT: we did not do it similarily. The implementation of many things in our addon is very new and Lester deserves full credits for his findings. Let me state it this clearly: our addon does not contain anything we were not allowed to use. Just have a look at the credits in the addon to see who directly or even indirectly contributed to this one.
Everyone can easily see this, even without unpacking the addon pbo. Just put any unit (including addon as well) in the editor and see if our grenade stuff works. We do not use eventhandlers to trigger our effects (the only exeption being the tank smoke). And of course everyone is completely free to have a look into our config and scripts and see how we do what we do and compare to other addons.
In december we started working on our Misc addon so we can't help if some one releases something in the mean time. Frankly, you don't expect us to leave out features we're developing when some one comes out with a similar idea?
If it wasn't that ridiculous we might feel sad about that serious accusations.
Btw. Lester did not accuse Al Simmons of having stolen an idea. Ideas are free. The rest is a different story that i thought we had left behind?

Nice "stolen" addon components like my invisible targets ...... no mail ask for use it in my ingoing-mail-folder and also no credits ... what a shame
Is something of the addon 'handmade' or all fished from different sources ?
And yes i left it behind, but when someone claims credits for ideas he should give them when using and improving others ideas, too.
But to be ontopic, theres are lots of usefull things in this release which improve gameplay and editor options to a new level.

Well yes, some of the content was already available in the "FAC" and "entry tool" addon-releases.
This makes me sad, especially when i remember Lesters accusation that i had made the invisble targets for ArmA and stole his idea.
