Maybe some need to read this to understand how ATI drivers are released.. http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=735&num=1 Things take time. If some thing is worth doing it's worth doing right. Allso tell you the truth NV is not any better.
-
Hi, Glad you solved it. Was going post and say try the joystick or a wheel. Weeeeeeeeee
-
Sorry for the late reply Vilas. When the stock NV cooler is used the dust builds up next to the fan right in front over the fins. Tipicaly raising the temps to the 70's+. As for HDR being a pain well i have only found it a pain in Arma so hopfully they fix it one day HA!.....

Evolution V1.0 Large scale respawn coop
AsRock+SD replied to KilJoy -SFG-'s topic in ARMA - USER MISSIONS
I hope we not lost 24H. And hope one day you do add city respawn x amount of hours\ days depending whots good for that actual server. Maybe team base points ? Glad to hear that you still working on it even though a lot of people are ripping it of and changing it at there own free will. -
Turning shading down turns grass down in 1.07+hotfix.

I think these have been released just becouse it's start of month so the 2900 update drivers would be at the same time. Only 2 fixes i beleave. My 2900 only seems to have the problem with out of date software ( Arma ). Arma runs great but cannot get the max setting with it though were every other game seems to max out without problems... If you want true hardware performance you need software that supports new hardware which i think Arma does not well at least to the point not to other new games anyways. And if the problems are going be solved it's going be next update. BUT as i said only one i have it out of date software ( Arma ). Like my 7900 ran OFP like crap too. They might even be waiting for things to stablize too with these patches pritty soon after each other ya do know M$ charge them for updated drivers right ?

maybe a key conflict ?.. i thought you were on about a CRT going bad untill i had seen the vid..

Evolution V1.0 Large scale respawn coop
AsRock+SD replied to KilJoy -SFG-'s topic in ARMA - USER MISSIONS
Here's a idea i love to see which was KINDA of in 1.4 City respawn BUT they randomly respawn back after a few days real time and even with options on town respawn time as it would depend on how muck traffic pass on the server. -
If it just shuting down instantly ( No BSOD or anything ) it's likly your power supply is the problem. They do get weaker over time. Allso could be some thing else faulty like DVD \ CDROM problem were they just suck up loads of power but unlikly.

Hello, I've seen this problem with my 2900XT when curser is over some thing glitching. Not to sure which video option it was but i higherd the graffic settings and it was all gone. i was playing with settings from my COUGH old 7900GT OC SC. BUT yes one option turned up solved it.

Stop feeding it beans ?.. Goto your arma sound options and turn off hardware.

Ran runs on my system with the HD2900XT. Frame rates are not all that seems like some ATI driver updates and maybe some BIS updates would solve that though. I can max out Stalker and get a average of 80FPS. but totaly differant story with Arma .. Tryed a few games like OB IL-2 HL2 they all run sweet. No shutdown or crashes whot so ever. Heat is a issue fan noise HUH i'm puzzled about this by peoples reviews as it's as silent than the 7900's fan. NVIDIA onboard LAN Multiplayer crash circumvention
AsRock+SD replied to chump75's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
I have No problems whot so ever with NVidia''s NIC on the NF4 chipset. I just don't install there crappy firewall. -
Here's some thing to try for those with 7800's and 7900's 7950's. The heatsink disign is really badly made. I found with both of these that they block up with loads of dust over a 6 month time. The dust is normaly located right next to the fan on the fins. The fins close to the fan are VERY prone on picking up dust. I've helped a few people with this problem now. And if it is this whots making problems for you you will more likly see many flashing triagles on screen. Expect around 10c - 25c temp drop. I've found this problem on all of these cards with the NV's default heatsink\fan.

How to apply a patch to a dedicated server
AsRock+SD replied to Rambo-16AAB's topic in ARMA - TROUBLESHOOTING
All i did is duplicate the server call one Arma beta installed the patch on my system at home and zipped the files up and uploaded them to server (1.83Gig if i remember correctly ). Unpacked the zip and copyed the files to the arma beta folder as it would not work from the beta folder and made new profile for it. -
