@Cahek- Nice pics but I don't think the RPG-16 there can penetrate them. I'll bet on RPG-29, Kornet or Metis. On topic- Even when playing as an American in a Bradley you'll want a decent challenge. If you dont need to evade tanks so much, that changes the whole gameplay.

That's great. Thanks for the reply. It amazes me every time how OFP/ArmA does things, that required whole simulator games in the past. Anyway for people like me who can't run ArmA, it's great to have people working for OFP still. Keep up the good work!

Hey. A small bug I saw in the previous versions as well. When I fire with at T-90 at a Bradley it's not destroyed and even shoots a TOW at me! I would understand it with an Abrams, but not with a Bradley in close range and a direct hit. Edit: I need 2 T-90 shots to destroy it, but it is still operable after a single, direct, 125 mm hit.

As someone who gets lag in the low settings of the ArmA demo, (1.7 Ghz, 512 ram, GeForce 5500) I'm really glad people are still doing mods for OFP. Anyway would be nice to see also some OPFOR screens, once they are ready. And a question: Are just going to have a single OPFOR faction, or making several diferent ones? (Identical to the various factions at Mogadishu/Somalia in 1993.)

I would hope so. Although if this means months more of delays, I'll be ready to settle on a "general" system rather than one imitating exactly every radar system. This can be added in patches, updates and so on.

Hey people a question about the SAM systems. Are you going to have some script, that will make the SAM site shot down once the main radar has been destroyed? I mean that in real life you only need to launch a HARM missile against the radar station, NOT to deal with every launcher individually.

Just tried the mod with the Retaliation campaign. Works great. I can't emagine the amount of work put into this, and all other FFUR releases. Thanks alot TB and FFUR team.

Ah... right Linebacker, my mistake. On a side note replacing the Ka-52 with the Mi-28,will also be nice. That's because the Mi-28 have been chosen as the next gen attack helicopter for Russia. The Ka-52 is not produced or operational. Source: Russian state television (Channel Russia/RTR)

I've got to say that Rome had a bit more variety when it comes to armies: The Greeks had phalanxes, Romans-Legions,Carthage /Eastern nations had elephants, Egyptians chariots and so on. In Medieval All Europeans basically rely on cavalary, Mongols as well, Muslims have more infantry oriented approach, and only the Tirmuids have elephants. Later in the game, anyone who can afford gun powder- uses it. That said it might be just the Medieval era, not the game that looks and plays beautifully no the less.

TB, would you mind adding the Tunguska and the Likenbaker vehicles to the shilka and vulkan? (You had them in one of the FFUR 2006 versions if I remember) The shilka and the vulcan are good for replacing the BIS units. However both are 1960's vehicles, and frankly they are not used much in neither the U.S or the Russian armies in 2007. So ADDING their modern replacements should not break up BIS missions, but will contribute to realism.

Going a bit off topic here, the Su-34 is pretty identical to the F-15E Strike Eagle. It's also slower, going "only" up to mach 1. Heard it on a Russian state televison report about the SU-34. (Channel "Russia"/RTR)

Congrat's on the release, but you wrote it's an alpha version. So are there any serios bugs that can mess up gameplay? I'm not asking for a full list, but: missing textures, AI problems, missing animations and so on.

Iv'e got to say this is the best Arab pack I seen in OFP. The models are outstanding, the map is just great- Small,no lag and beautifull. I also commend the weapons pack choise, ORCS weapons are the best. The vechicle interior ruins it a bit but... My only MAJOR complaint is the lack of groups. Sure the Iraqi army was disorganaized, but they still had platoons and divisions. The developers could have at least included groups for the more organaized (And so beautifully modeled and textured) Republican Guard.

TB84 and FFUR team- Thanks for this release and for everything you guys have done for the community. Making any game from 2001 look good, is a serious matter, and you guys are pretty much experts at it. Downloading now.

@HYK- All I can add is that I love the Opfor troops. They look as good as the RHS or ORCS troops. And for those teams it was their main project, not an Opfor. I just want to support the idea of crews, it's really the only thing missing in this pack. @Wiliam 1- I have your problem as well, but it only lasts as long as the soldier is INSIDE the HMMWV. If you order them out, the faces will be fine. -
Definately keep working on it, it looks good. I also like your weapons pack choise. IMO the Orcs Russian weapons are the best around. Anyway here is a suggestion: How about making "Al-Qaeda in Iraq" terrorists. They will have newer vests and newer weapons. So they will serve as a kind of insurgent SF. (NO I DON'T LIKE AL-QAEDA, I JUST WANT TO KILL THEM IN OFP)

Too young to die, Retaliation, Dynamic Afganistan-Delta force (I know it's a mission but it playes like a campaign)

The DMA team, are definately on top levels. But I can't overlook Toy and Nettrucker, they made the "Too young to die" Campaign. This is THE best, most realistic campaign I ever played.

@Big-Rooney: The ORCS message (If I remember correctly) was that it is now irrelevant to make addons for OFP, because of ArmA. So I guess they'll be back in ArmA.

O.K more troubleshooting. I was not able to start the demo. Upgarded Direct-X to December 2006 version. Now it starts with a black screen and then CTD with the: "Error creating Direct3d 9 graphics engine". No Direct3d problems encountered with other games. Now what I need to upgrade? Specs: Pentium-4 1.7Ghz Nvidia GE-Force 5500 fx 512 mb ram
