US troops are being sent in, on request of the elected president Teremesha Paki, to reinstate order. In one week the US Army Rangers of the 75th Ranger Regiment, 2nd Bn, secured the Tonali airport and all major cities. You are among the troops that arrive a few weeks after the invasion. You play Joseph Conrad, US Army Ranger, away from active duty for one year due to studies at MIT. The rangers are kept on the islands as a fast reaction force and you are assigned to the 2nd Bn's Company C, team Charlie. Your task will be maintenance of the satellite field radio, advanced optics and operation of the portable laser designator. This campaign focuses on large scale battles, short fierce firefights in unusual environments as well as the every day life of the soldiers in Company C, team Charlie. This is definitely (with Revolt 1998) the best Tonal campaign that I've ever played. Not to hard and the missions are varied and fun to play. Highly recommended!

Please, dont start with that sh*t called Steam. Being force to have an internet connection on the pc that you're playing single player games is complete nonsense. This is the only reason that I did not buy HL2 and I swear to God that, even though I consider OFP the best game I've ever played, that will be the end of it for me. I will never ever go down that road. And if one day all games are distributed that way it will be the end of video games for me (maybe not such a bad thing after all). Please BIS dont go there. The kids that are cheating/cracking FPS games are not really your crowd. For products like yours that mostly attract mature players this is not necessary. Cheers.

I agree with Shinbusan. Dont waiste your time changing the units but make another great mission instead. The BAS units are doing the job very well and are much more less demanding on the cpu. Cheers

Great work nominesine. I find your campaign very addictive and fun to play. The missions are not to difficult for me (I'm such a bad player) and I really enjoy what I've seen so far. For once, I've no feeling of frustration when I get killed and I'm just eager to try again. The BAS addons are really the best units in terms of balance between detail textures and fps. They look good enough but dont lag as others. Well done and thank you. Cheers

@King Nothing WOW! I can assure you that I know what you're talking about. The amount of work and subtle details are incredible. And you really feel like you're right there in the middle of the action. This is an amazing peace of work. Well done!

@General Barron I like what you've done. I already use your animations (the old ones with the nam mission) to move fire teams in urban configuration. But if I may add a constructive criticism I would tell you to find a way to go 1 or 2 levels further in the menu so we can go directly to the command we want. Having to make combinations just to enable squad commands and redoing all the combinations again to select the command is really very tedious. This is where the difference with the BIS system hurts. It may demand for more work but I think the result will make a difference. Keep on the good work Cheers

@berro I've tried it already (Y2K3). But I have the same problem with it that I have with ECP: LAG. They both use the DynamicRange sound pack and that pack lags like hell on my pc (Athlon 64 3200+). Even the sound pack alone lags. In fact, its the only thing that lags on my pc. Since there is no way to separate the effects from the sounds in those mods I prefer to use FlashFX with the soundpack of my choice (usually Wright). I also have to say that I love the over the top effects in FlashFX. Make me feel like I'm watching a movie... @thunderbird84 It would be great to have a modern replacement pack with the FlashFX effects and the possibility to choose your sound pack. Cheers

Thanks for the answers. I'm trying to download the one in the link...without success. I dont really think it will do anyway. No offense, but judging by the picture on the site, the old Kegetys one looks better. My problem is that I dont like the 1985 HYK arctic soldiers. The 2003 ones are fantastic but the vehicles available are outdated. I guess I'll use the Kegetys one until someone decides to retexture the CBT ones. Thanks again.

Hi ofpchaos, Nice mission! Some lag in the intro despite a fairly good pc but normal with all the objects on the map. No lag at all in the mission. Good job. I didn't beat it yet but this the kind of mission that you want to try again and again... Very addictive. Well done.

Hi everyone, How can I remove the Fast Roping action menu option in the BAS blackhawk? I suppose there is some global variables that I can set to false or something but I cant find it in the documentation provided with the addon. Thanks in advance.

Thanks killswitch, I will try it. By the way, I have another problem with BAS. On their Tonal island there are places where the AI refuses to go. I receive some answers like 'negative. Cant get there' Ex: You get into a chopper and click somewhere on the map (anywhere more than 7500/8000 meters) and the AI give you that answer and refuses to move. This really, I mean really, a big bug! Is there anyway to solve it? Thanks in advance

This is very weird man. Your replacement pack is the only file I cant download from filefront (I just download several other files from them). Everytime I retry yours it gives me that error: - 403 = Acces Forbiden I repeat, so we dont lose anytime looking elsewere, I can download ANY file I want from that site EXCEPT yours. If somebody have an answer for this magical behaviour I'll be very happy to ear it. Thanks in advance

The only thing that works was removing all non BIS references to the AH64. Anyone interested to solve that problem permanently just remove these files: - Apac.pbo - bas_repair.pbo - hfr_ah64.pbo Problem solved. Thanks anyway and by the way GREAT mod.

Hi, Every time I save a mission when I work with this mod it includes a reference to an addon: HFR_AH64 in the mission.sqm file. The mission that I'm working on is addon free. I am NOT using this particular addon but the BIS AH64. I've tried removing the faulty addon but now its giving another error. Do you have a non faulty version of this addon or simply explain to me how to remove it without causing a catastrophe. Thanks in advance

Hi, Simple question for addon gurus. Some addons force themselves into the mission.sqm even if they are not used at all. Any mission saved in the editor will refer to them if they are in the list of loaded addons. Even if you dont use any addon in the mission. I've encounter a few of these (at list 3) but the only one that I remember the name is the BAS_repairH. There is another in the addons list of the FlashFXUR (ah64 replacement) but I dont remember the name. There was one also in some middle-east soldiers addons ('groups' I think was the reference inserted). If someone can tell me what's wrong with them maybe I can find a solution to the problem. It's very annoying. Thanks in advance
