Hi, When I want a good laugh I go and read their forum but this particular individual is not even funny. I cant believe how pathetic this guy has become. I dont know what CM promessed him but his turnaround is phenomenal and should be put in the guinness book. He is in every thread now bashing anyone who as something negative to say about the game. WOW, simply wow...Even Viiper looks like a child compare to him. How can a so called moder can choose DR over Arma 2. How can you refuse the challenge to mod a space shuttle and prefer to mod a bicycle. There is practically nothing to mod in DR. The only thing that I can see is that he got intimidated by the quality of the moders in the Arma community. Typical case of the guy who prefer to be king of the barn instead of nobody in the big city. When this guy wakes up and look back at his attitude he will probably need some psychological help. I really pitty him Cheers

Hi, I think you must disable their conversation capabilities: _unit setVariable ["BIS_noCoreConversations", true]; you do that for each of them. Hope this is what you want Cheers -

Hi, Great work! My only request would be to make a script version that eliminates the need for the addon. We have no choice to install a new helicopter or island addon but for behaviour change that does not contains any new model I would definitely prefer to deal with script that you can just include into your missions. The script could check if the addon is already active and exit if so. Thanks for considering it and again great work. Cheers -

Hi, I cant belive that there still no invisible targets for Arma 2. The old ones does not work (Lester, Mapfact,...) with Arma 2. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems that this would be one of the easiest addon to make...But so usefull. Cheers -
Hi, I wonder if anyone can tell me how to find the display name of a unit type. You know, the string that is displayed when your cursor is on an unit on the screen (Rifleman, etc.) I suspect it as something to do with config entry but after trying a lot of combinations nothing worked. For example, I've tried (configFile >> "cfgVehicles" >> (typeOf player)) but it just returns the typeOf player, which in this case is "FR_TL". (configFile >> "cfgVehicles" >> (typeOf player) >> "displayName") just return the string "dispalyName". What I want is the dispaly name of the type. Hi, What you're doing reminds me of another set of scripts I think called Group Link by KeyCat (I think). But, if I remember correctly, it was only for the enemy AI. They were able to call backup and things like that... Great idea by any means. Cheers -
Cheers Please, anyone who knows the guy in the picture, tell him that it's just a game, a bad one we agree but just a game. There is no need to go to that extreme...:eek: @CzingerX It's not that the game is optimized, it's just the low poly count and the non existent color palette. Even Arma would give you 100 fps if they had that kind of graphics. Cheers

Hi, Is there a way to simulate key presses by script? You know like a macro or sendKey function (that I did not found). Something in a script like: sendKey {32, 45}; or [32, 45] execVM "sendKey.sqf"; would simulate pressing the corresponding keys... Thanks in advance Cheers

Hi, @monty67t I'll ask you the same: Have you played OFP-DR? Because if you dont I will respectfully ask you to explain what make you think it will be more realistic than Arma II despite everything pointing to the contrary on the released videos. Cheers

Hi, Am I really the only one that is not surprised? What did you expect from CM? The only game they made that was not arcade was OFP and everybody knows who really made it. The more vids I watch the more what I tought was going to happen is happening. OFPDR will be an arcade shooter with a mission editor (pc only). And in that category there is no way they can compete with COD. Only the editor will give them a small edge. There still a demo coming. Let's wait and see...but dont get your hopes to high. Cheers

Hi, I have this error message when I exit the editor from Rhamadi: Include file ca\introAnims\data\scenes\intro.intro\rscCommon.hpp not found. This is with the last version of the files. There is no error with the previous version. Just to let you know Cheers

Hi, +1 for me. The problem with forums is that most people posting are having problems otherwise they'll be playing instead. It gives the impression that the game is a disaster and that no body can play it. This is not true because I believe that much more people have no problem playing the game and are enjoying it. That beeing said, I also believe that something should be done for people that cant play the game without crashing. Arma II is not like any other game so you cant just say "I'll play something else". Unfortunately there is no other game in that category... Cheers

Hi, Nice thread. Excellent discussion. I sincerely sympathise with all beginners in Arma II. The only thing that is, or should be, reachable for them right out of the box is in fact the campaign. And for a lot of them it's broken. With a bug free campaign they could learn what can be done with the game and maybe develop a curiosity to try to make it themselves. Without this incentive it is indeed very difficult because you dont even know what can be done or what should you look for. A lot of people here seems to forget that we had 2 fantastic campaigns to show us the way back then with flaspoint. After playing those campaigns we were all eager to learn how to do the same but we knew exactly what we were looking for. Of course Arma II is much more than its campaign but a playable campaign would have make such a difference... Cheers

Hi, I have a simple debug dialog that I use during mission development to test variables and call expressions for debugging purposes. The dialog has only 3 controls. An edit control and 2 command buttons (Ok and Close). The ID of the edit control is 99. The action property of the Ok button is: action = "call (ctrlText 99)"; In other words, clicking the Ok button execute (using the call statement) the expression that I've typed in the edit box. So if I type player switchCamera "external" in the edit box and click Ok, the player view should change to external. This was working perfectly in OFP. Now, nothing happens. It's not like the call command is not working anymore because if I type directly in the Ok button action property it works: action = "call {player switchCamera ""external""}"; works perfectly. I've tried typing the expression as above in the edit box, nada. Again, what troubles me is that was working perfectly in OFP. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance Cheers
