Well I am doing the first training and achieved something like 52 seconds and still failed. Come on, how often do they want me to repeat that?

Jep, two accounts, both with the same password, reg date and email address. When I asked for my details being mailed I received two mails for each account and reset one of them. So something weird must have happened in the database, either recently or further in the past.

check to what extent the cores of my CPU are being used.

I dont realy know what happened to my profile but a lot of the info was set back to a very old stage (no problem) and my postcount was reduced from 6475 to 2 (not nice at all). Is it possible to change that?

We are making progress - Editor now supports the Vimeo Video Api called mogaloop. And we were actually able to contact them and consult each other. Click on a marker to open a video. - SWF layers to enhance the map, either for markers or for the map background. (see the moving clouds?) Hope you like what you see. A small flash-based editor to build interactive maps. (a pure non-commercial project) Thats what I just quickly wanted to show you. Please excuse the two miserable maps below but I had not time on my hand building something serious. Reason When starting this project our opinion was and still is that google maps is somewhat boring when you wish to build map around a specific topic. We use the same file system (kml) but add some extra features and run it smoothly in Flash. Â Current stage A lot of things arent implemented yet and the editor can hardly be considered an Alpha. Not even the content editor works yet. And the maps you see below might crashr regularly. Nevertheless I think it already gives a pretty good impression of the creative possibilites. what we are going to add - timeline (for chronological events like wars etc) - own flv player (and encoder) without borders etc - kml import and export - map import and clustering (for those who wish to make maps for roleplaying games / or maybe even one for Armed Assault 2) What we actually want to become in the far future is a database for all sorts of themed maps (one theme = one map). Some kind of small geographical wiki if you wish, where groups can work on different maps, interact, merge etc. (Not like the keyhole forum which is more about individual locations than entire collections.) I dont have much time right now since I am in office but I had the idea to actually simulate a tiltshift lense with Photoshop. Maybe some of you can use this idea and create some good screenshots with it. actual tiltshift something like this maybe.. though I think the focus should be more below.

Oh, so I researched a little, the problem has little to do with our application but rather with the way this html-page (and probably most other ones out there) is organised. We decided to add an extra embedding code which is slightly more complex but limits some of the occuring side-effects. An extra navigation bar will be also available of course. But we want to make it skinnable like everything else and still have to put some time into it. Next step is the Content-Window editor. Which is not so easy since you have to turn html text commands like bold,italic,embed picture,.. into flash.

oh you can use any map provider you wish.. so far we have the most common ones like Google,Microsoft,Yahoo, Open Street map. Thats what the editor looks so far, just pick one of the maps in the menu and press "close". I am kind of dissapointed. Many of you here I know since 2001 and you dont even find the time to comment on this project I put so much effort into. I didnt post this to spread it or to get silly clicks, I posted it to get some orientation, thats all. Not even a "good idea" or "quite boring" or "what can it be used for"? Â

true, I have to look into that. But what I do know is that users will be able set a max and min zoom for their map. So for example if you wish to show locations in Copenhagen only then you dont want people to be able to zoom out too far.

I liked it untill I read the " an IQ of no more than 10 is required". You people obviously never think about users like me then, thanks buddy! Good simple project, and those are generally the best ones! Cheers and good luck, I am sure I will be able to use it in the future.

Why DFI? It is an overclocking company (which I respect a lot) but the advantages are nothing for ordinary users. In fact, the opposite is the case since DFI expects you to know a lot about cooling etc. Consequently these boards cause problems now and then if you arent prepared. (had two DFI boards) Stick to Gigabyte. Good price, good quality and everything you need if you are not into overclocking. DDR-1066 is a waste of money. You wont feel the difference, I can tell cause I made the test with my own system.

May I post a thread in the offtopic section where I present an (non-commercial) internet project a friend and I are working on. It is an application (online editor) and would want some feedback. What you can do with it is to build themed maps. It is a fully functional and embeddable map just with extra options to design it. Also, it provides a far smoother browsing experience because fully flash based (same for the editor) Example

That, my friend, is exactly the problem. The best ones are usually the ones being highly time consuming (and not necessarily the other way around).

Great vid, I liked it! But just one small point of advise. In case you wish to use youtube for hosting your video then copy the embedding code into this forum as you did, but also add &fmt=18 to the link. This will ensure that people get directly forwarded to the the highest potential video quality (plus stereo sound). Cheers!

My sys is Q9450 8800 GTS 512 SSC 4 Gig RAM X38 DS4 I am astonished to see that actually all four processors seem to take a certain burden while playing games. Nevertheless I think two cores might still be better. But actually it seems that the graphic card is the bottleneck even though it is considered to be super fast. It would be silly to already by a new one so I guess I will have to live with it for a while.

Well it seems that your idea of writing a short Brochure about the best addons is a wise idea. The task will probably be not to overload it and leave people with too much choice. REX sounds great and I will probably buy it once it comes out. As far as I understood you it do the about the same as Xgraphics+ASX and FEX just better.
