A victim of the atrocities of war. She was angry..couldnt control herself anymore...always in mind the pictures of her killed, raped and burned brothers of the US infantry. In the end the abuse was OK 'because nobody was mutilated' or because the Iraqis did worse. A hero of fate After all she didnt torture innocent iraqis. Those were terorists...born to fly planes into sky-scrapers...ah no..wait..that is Guantanamo... I sometimes get confused with all these Geneva-Convention issues! And yes sure..noone of the command knew about it. Prisons and captives are of no use to gather intelligence on the enemy. ...it must have been the deed of 2 poor soldiers, sure! Well anyhow..I gonna by her autobiography and put it right next to my golden Jessica Lynch edition! BTW: Did you notice that images of her in her uniform in front of the flag are basically impossible to find on the net. But they do exist (as you see in my link). I wonder why? Of Mrs Lynch we only saw these kind of pictures. Hey..where is the unifrom gone..? where the flag? Didnt she work of the US military? (I am surprised to find it on fOX news though  ) Ladies dont forget, the military has a very strict line of authority. Dont blame it on the soldiers only. Search at the top too. How the hell could this happen. Out of uniform, cigarette dangling from mouth, having a good old time humiliating prisoners... They ought to bust her just for the indoor smoking violation. Sue the big guys instead!

Perfect description Ran. Dien Bien Phu was the perfect illustration of hell on earth, in the morning of the 7th of may, the place looked much more like a WW1 european battlefield than the green valley it was. That is about all you need to know to imagine what the battlefield looked like And yes. The french troops on the ground were not greenhorns. Most of them had long combat experience from WWII, and many actually carried weapons familliar to them (not just a tale). Germans used their german Heavy Machinegun models. Still it was a terrible slaughter. I guess people were just to used to great losses from WWII. Noone realy cared much about the falen soldiers!

The things they do in the name of religion
Albert Schweitzer replied to Acecombat's topic in OFFTOPIC
Well wait up a second. i think we should clear things up a little bit. A: you are claiming that hitler was a religious man and that his religion drove him to the Holocaust and WWII. -> You must prove it! B: You came forward with a quote of "Mein Kampf" and I showed you a link to the most renowned historical scientist in germany who claims that it cannot be proven. -> So you are saying, this scientist must be wrong C: Considering this scientist is wrong then you must prove it -> Hitler was a manipulator. He never spoke in public about what he realy thought. And there are some unofficial insider quotes that would surprise you about him. So considering he never realy spoke his mind, how do you want to proof anything about his "belief"? How is this possible. D: Hitler followed his "beliefs"! How can I possibly denie this. The word belief is so abstract that it could embrace everything attitude, perception, emotion, experience...basically everything. But this thread isnt about "belief" it is about religion. Now saying that any "belief" is a religion is like saying Humans are animals. Yes and no! Too flexible to use it as a thesis! And you started this thread so you must come forward with a clear statement. -
The french? Dont forget that during this time around 70% of the foreign legion was made up of germans (former Wehrmacht and SS soldiers). And they made up half of the fallen 10.000 FFL casualties (dont remember the figure exactly, hope I am not too wrong). Hell, another war lost!

wait up a second. There is a certain level of tolerance. We had LOTS of players connected and taking this into consideration I say that it was far more civilised than on most servers I experienced so far. CIA server rules, I cant repeat that often enough!

Thrustmaster Afterburner 2 (40 euros & universal use). Question..do you need force feedback? In that case go for the Logitech Wingman Trikeforce 3D. If you are left handed go for the Saitek cyborg 3d force

Well usually I am the last to post a new article here so I assumed someone posted it already 200 pages ago. The New Yorker was the last newspaper to provide a deep look into the investigation. Many of todays news refered to this article. it is kind of long but worth reading http://www.newyorker.com/fact/content/?040510fa_fact
-
I am not refering to your heart-operations since I think A) it is irrelevant trying to or even to bother estimating the costs of an operation. B) Bals indicated that this is not his favourite topic to talk about. I was refering the article in THE NEW YORKER. The "mama needs the money" comment was just a cross-reference to how silly some people justify certain things. Or as Janis Karpinski would put it a few weeks ago: “living conditions now are better in prison than at home. At one point we were concerned that they wouldn’t want to leave.â€

Lol, to me it appeared that they werent just doing the job for money but because they are saddists. And I think the pictures pretty much support that. Two iraqis have to pretend having oral sex with each other... oh yes.. I bet the guard realy hates his job and it is just a standard procedure...he had to do it.,,grandma is sick and needs money! These people did their jobs with a certain passion and a very creative interpretation of standard procedures. In other words: sadists!

before answering or voting read this Blair confirms EU referendum gamble I wonder what the outcome will be caue the price of the gamble is high. If only a single nation of the EU votes against a european constiution then it will basically be deemed to fail. Maybe Blair is approaching the issue a bit too agressive/progressive for the famous british conservative mind. Especially now due to the War in Iraq and the complex trouble between US/EU this is a pretty risky step to take. What do you think? Read also this Germany says UK referendum won't derail charter

You are totally right that flaming isnt a accurate basis for a proper discussion. But see it this way. A war (as we germans know it) isnt a minor thing. People are not talking about a bad fiscal policy here but about WAR, Dying iraqis, and the risk of a destabilised and already very dangerous part of the world. That people loose their objectivity and forget their bad manners is simply an indicator that this has been a sincere error with terrible consequences. Our warnings have been ignored. We were "insulted" as cowards instead of careful and disagreeing partners. If this war stirs up already so many emotions in silly europe, what do you think the consequences are there gonna be for the arab world. Their heads are boiling and this war was totally counterproductive for the war against teror. And the rigidity to admit a minor mistake is another bad feature of your administration that will make things to turn worse in the future. From my point of view I can only tell you: war causes haterage, that is the way it is so dont be surprised about of lack of objectivity, cause the first thing that goes down the drain in a war is objectivity. Are you seriously surprised that the american forces (as humane as they are) are now totally demonised? I dont know how many arabs live in your neighbourhood but here they are more than just concerned, they are angry. Not because the US brought down Saddam, but because of the arrogance with which we westerners try to show them what HAS to be the right way. If you dont understand that war stirs up emotions and kills objective discussion then you havent quite understood what war means! You, having lots of relatives in germany, should maybe research in this area a liittle more and you will see that your totally justified arguments, your objevtive perception, are worth nothing once family members have died. Ask yourself why the roadmap in the middle east, as logical as it may be, doesnt succeed! Because people are out of the minds! Full stop
-
you dont sound drunk! That is compliment enough I guess. And when you wake up tomorrow morning and you read this post then you will be happy about "Damn I was so wasted and still managed to write a few decent arguments, after all, I didnt embarass myself" So good night and good morning denoir! And concerning the good looking women.. I think we should allow venezuela, Honduras, Equador, Guatemala and Belize into the EU!
-
Good you are drunk. I so you cant make burgers ! Nah, my mom needs support. She is hard working and everything but a spoiled sista! Saying that a household cannot employ support is discriminative. To run a family is just as work-intense as running a company. Why should one be able to recruit an assistant and the other shouldnt? And I bet it will be the other way around to what you say will be the other way around They will soon start to kick our ass, and we will forced to rise our weekly working hours. We will be forced to remain competitive against a much cheaper but simillar sophisticated labour force ofhe eastern european countrys. Germany will need a while to get this message but when fate strikes us hard we are usually very successful!
-
It is not bourgeois at all. Dont give me bullshit about your family not being able to afford a maid. Considering your level of sophistication I am damn sure you stem from a good background financially wise. And dont play the poor guy to me  ! As you know we have many poles in gemany that try to make their daily living. We usually pay them "black" (no taxes). Not because we couldnt afford it but like this they can keep their hard earned money and surivive with what they have without asking for social support money. They are often far more noble with their working attitude than most germans. I am kind of embarrased of my own nation. And I hope the new countries will show what it means to work hard for daily living. They might think we look down on them but given the economical progress of slowenia I doubt there is a way to be arrogant. Their economy is sky-rocking. Teach those fat ass germans (including me) what real work means. I guess we forgot!

Llauma, Sorry, you are the first one that has arrived! Â

can anyone pm me whent the flaming is over? I think I will be back online in about 3 weeks from now, so I guess this should be early enough! Ralphy (ouch I am not gonna earn many sympathy points for what I going to say). Close this goddamn thread. Open a new one so we can start again with less emotions involved.

I am a bad man! During my time in Salamanca I lived with 2 slowenian girls in an appartment. They ran out of money so I kept feeding them for 3 weeks. Not they I wanted to "xxx" with them in order to get my money back but they were very pretty and nice to talk to and they gave me a lot of attention during my entire time in spain. They are nice people indeed. A german can learn a lot from them especially when it comes to work under hard conditions, earn little, be diligent but still stay optimistic. I think I know what you are talking about. And they were good dancers as well. I enjoyed their friendship very much and thought about working in slowenia many times. I am good in learning a language pretty fast but I dont speak a single foreign language in a competent manner. ( I got an E in english during my time in germany). But who knows, maybe in the future with a german company I will be given the chance. Anyhow, I hugged the lady that cleans our house today (she is polish). She is the mama of our household and even though she seemed kind of embarassed when I did it I think she still enjoyed it. And we gave her a nice bottle of champaign!

No. they sold their goods to poles. We are talking about terrible human tragedies here. Not about 1 or 2 but of several thousands who used sold their cheap staff to the relatively rich polish population. if the tax would have been paid for all those cigarettes they smuggled, maybe their government would now have the money to "make" jobs for them. @ex-ronin: and who gurantees the power of denktas in north cyprus? his private army? That is a bit ignorant raedor. Tax from who to who? We are talking about countries here that have zero to no tax on cigarettes. And therefore they are able to sell them so cheaply to poles. Criminality, and especially little smuggling is often the only way out for people to become homeless. We have the same problem with viatnamese imigrants in east germany and I assure you a south east asian despises nothing more than to be called a criminal. So they chose the intermediate step: do business, dont cheat your customer, but cheat the government. I rather prefer this sort of illegal labour than real criminality. Or do you want that they prostitute themselves instead of selling cigarettes. And this is not a silly comparison, this is what politicians assume will happen. If they cant smuggle goods then they can still come with their body only. And a body can be sold too. Nah, EU is good for us but not good for the surrounding countries. The border of poverty is just pushed a little more to the east. And there poverty will be intesified.
