You mean selling the film rights to a producer. Publishing his life story. Creating an own music album. And opening the first military investigation company ... and retire in silicon valley!

Hah I read that! But once you are doing a business plan you will learn that reality never turns out the way you want to. Assumptions are always nonesense (at least that is valid for the business plans I had to do in university ) It could have also been that a) your father is a hardcore Cold-war fanatic and he still gives you WWIII exercises every weekend to prepare for the final communist invasion that is soon to come b) You were hunting and got a bit overexcited about it! Too much cammo, too much ammo, and too much shooting euphoria c) You are in a russian deathsquad ready to eliminate the italian mafia that tries to occupy your Cocain-Monopoly in town. d) You committed a bad crime when you were younger and you had to choose: go 6 years to jail or join a Drill-camp for 12 months e) You found that this dress is most comfortable for your everyday hobby Parachuting! f) You just committed a shob-robbery where you got the candies as well! g) ... did I miss any potential scenario

I'm not German. Â I didn't visit any camps to be reminded of your past sins. Â I visited because that is where some of my relatives were killed. Â There have been a huge number of visitors like me who are also glad they didn't completely disappear. Â I suspect that the same feelings could exist in Iraq. Nice to suggest. Unfortunately we are to much into psycometrics here that I cannot refer to a source or fact. But I have the sincere feeling that the Iraqis have enough of prisons. Or do you believe that a german jew wants to live with a concentration camp in his neighbourhood? Even if it may serve as a museum I rather believe that former prisoners would rather not prefer to shiver each time they pass by this castle of teror. Assuming that mostly jews would have lived near a german concentration camp and survived the Holocaust. Do you believe they would have insisted: "nah, lets make a beautiful museum out of it"! How many former holocaust survivors returned back to a CC for a visit? They definetly tried to get as far away from them as possible and that for several decades! Let the wounds heal, flatten that prison and make the iraqis build new GOOD memories instead of making them stuck in the old Saddam nightmare! Miles Tag. I am getting tired of this "we cannot compare". Sure we can! Making comparisons doesnt mean setting them equal. Comparing means CONTRASTING. And there are certain similarities as far as individual fates are concerned. And as an individual in a prison under Saddam could have been as terrible as being an individual in a concentration camp. This doesnt downplay the Holocaust but uses it as a lesson. And of course we should learn a lesson from it, shouldnt we. And learning a lesson means to apply experience (holocaust) to to counteract current problems (torture and genocide)? Otherwise those minorities in Ausschwitz have realy died for nothing.

If I may analyse that: I have the impression that the typical profile of a OFP-player is simillar to that of an IL2 player! In other words, I may guess that a great percentage here is also into IL2

Do you think we should have destroyed the Nazi death camps to? I happen to think they serve a purpose, telling those that werent there what happened all those years ago. I strongly disagree. For the germans the concentration camp museums serve the purpose to remind us of our sins in the past and the responsibility we have for all those minorities now living in germany. In iraq I dont see this purpose. Should the people who were imprisoned there be reminded of their what happened to themselves? I doubt that. Flatten them..build hospitals on the same spot and no "in memoriam" museums!

A photo is where I stop when it comes to information. Otherwise, I'd be glad ot tell people where(not specifically, that is) I live, what I like to do, my ICQ, my email, what I write, where I go as well as here, etc. Then take a photo of you prefered coffe-cup, of your new set of batteries or the lunch-pack you forgot in your rucksack 2 weeks ago. Just put something to add some color to your profile!

Not necessarily. In the winter yes. And also because bread grows bigger when it comes into contact with water. But ducks have stomach that is used to that and they can eat everything, even during the winter.

BTW DARKLIGHT is from BELGIUM" Yesterday we were only 4 and we mastered some realy difficult situations and defeated quite strong enemy forces. So coordination works. Anyhow... a few pictures from yesterday, not to spectacular..but well ... I post them anyhow "Come on guys, we gotta hurry up, dont fall behind!" Realy bad weather Slowly and cautiously approaching enemy base Gathering intel on enemy strength Then flatten the goddamn vilage and turn it into a graveyard. Caramba! All crew dead? And there it is burning again! Is it so hard not to blow up a BMP? Llauma had to get down. Saw a missile flying over his head and hitting the BMP behind him. BMP made a big jump backwards and broke the wall behind it! Jesus, this guy is in a good mood. Didnt he know that our chance of survival was near to zero?
-
Well a lot of people in this forum do regularily and professionally fire automatic rifles.
-
yes and you llauma have a short sleep! I will dream till around 12:00 or maybe I will get up and lay in the sun till around 14:00 who knows... time will tell! hahaha

arghhh you deserter! Dont you dare to talk to us ever again!

*cough* *cough* advertising!! Come join CIA NOW on their server! *cough* You may proceed with your discussion --------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyone had a chance to view some extracts of Fahrenheit 911 yet. And to the germans on this forum. I just bought Scholl Laturs new book about the conflict in Iraq and the islam-clash. Couldnt stop reading. It is amazing.. I already killed 60 pages and it is full of facts worth mentioning here. Surprising enough. He had seen it all comming 2 years ago. What many people now consider as Anti-american voting in the UN was in fact nothing but criticism based on the comments and assessment of knowledgeable specialsist. Scholl Latur is a german author who liver decades in the Middle East!

raedor, get your ass over here you deserteur!

give me 5 minutes, watching a recap of the european film prize!

I fell so ashamed to participate in this forum and never had the chance to fire a real automatic rifle. If I said otherwise I must have been drunk and lying!

lets make our own small guide. Cut out what you think is unecessary and add what you miss 1. Officer comes first. Even if you tend to disagree with him you should follow the order. Suggest strategies and alternatives, dont DISCUSS. 2. "Stay low" or "stealth" is rather an advise, it doesnt necessarily mean that you have to crawl. Try to keep near bushes/trees, but most important: do not run ahead of the officer, do not run over the edge of a hill without order. It is also suggested that you dont sprint! And "danger" could also mean that there are tripwires around. Better not risk it. Let your officer know in what stage you are. "Roger" lets him know you understood his order. "Waiting" means you have achieved to carry out his last command. Make sure you use "ready to fire" or "negative" to show that you are in position to engage the enemy. Otherwise the team might open fire and you are still running around. 3. Vehicules: Do not enter vehicules or exit vehicules without direct order. This is for 2 reasons. The first one is that entering a vehicule makes it easier for the enemy to see you. And dont get out before ordered because sometimes the pilot/driver need to check out the location before continuing his way. If you want to run several km, well then get out before an order comes 4. Heavy guns & grenades. a.)Stay assured that you dont play around with heavy guns without being sure that none of your teammates might be around. In some missions it happens that you might hit a soldier trying to attach a satchel to a tank. Stay assured that you are not entering the death-zone if one of your team-mates is using artillery-like weapons. b)Do not fire AT at a tank, if 1 shot cannot ensure its total destruction. Wait for a team-mate to settle so both of you can shoot simultaneously. A damaged tank can still take out an entire squad if it is on alert. And often you will not have time enough to fire a second round. Experienced players are able to do so. But they are making sure they can hide behind a house to rearm. c) Listen to your officers commands. Sometimes he may order the squad to load weapons into truck, to put mines on the road or to carry parts of heavy machine guns or mortars. In case you put a mine. Make sure you mark its location on the map. In case you carry a two-piece mortar or machinegun then stay near to the comrade who carries the second part. d.) In case you are lost or under risk of being hit by friendly fire then try to use smoke shells to indicate your position. During the night you can also use flares. (none of the 2 alarm the enemy) e) HE mortar can kill a BMP, but you wont be able to kill a T-72 with it (at least not in time). You also need around three 5kg grenades to kill a tank. Rather not advisable. f) Forget about time-triggering satchels. Rather make sure that you can blow it up whenever you wish and whenever the team is safe Open Fire The order is very clear. If you are sticking to the team, and the enemy suprises you, has seen you and risk to take you down then you can engage at own will. However that happens rather rarely. Get down, see if they are aiming at you and if they dont then left-click on the enemy and by doing that you give the location of the enemy to the entire squad. However be careful when you engage a suprise enemy-tank. Usually they cannot see you if you stay low. Especially not if you are in a bush. Besides, it basically never happens that the team does not see a tank. So dont even use the excuse, that you were DEFENDING yourself. Teamspeak. For convenience many servers make Teamspeak 2.0 a MUST. It is easy to download and easy to install. Even if you dont have a microphone you can still listen to commands of your officer and you have a higher chance of survival. In case you have a microphone then Use a hotkey to speak and dont chose the automated microphone option. Otherwise everyone can hear you breath, curse, and sign (skul?). However the microphone is not a must, but make sure you know the VOICE of the officer so you know WHO to listen to. Try to keep your comments short (not like Albert) and dont shout or whistle.

That is exactly the way it should work. If you cant see the enemy well then too sad, stay low and wait till the danger is over. But instead people follow their instincts "gotta see where they are, gotta shoot too!" And if you cant see the enemy well then even the most stupid AI has time enough to hunt you down

Actually, that site was once without a password. It is the site of my family and its members. I have an e-mail account there and you could read my entire CV if you wanted. But now they put a password to it. Guess I need to review my profile as well! Â Since I dont belong to a clan or even have an own homepage yet I thought I am obliged to put something. Should I put a link to the company I work for instead? Rather not!

Yes reminds me a "good mission" we had compared to a "bad" one. In one of the best missions I had with CIA was when we shot AT simultanously at T72's. They didnt have a chance cause the rockets hit them one right after the other. It was a tough one but ended successfully. The bad mission was when someone took a tank (I think it was a tank) and engaged the enemy even though he was ordered to get out. The enemy was then on alert and we all got raped badly. (Was this mission in which frenchman did xxx, and gollum afterwards cleaned an entire camp on his own)

Unfortunately we will never know how it feels when you get near such a wedding celebration. Can those flying bullets realy be perceived as an attack by an experienced soldier. Well I dont know! But I am sure the soldier in charge has indeed deep remources and a very bad conscious right now. Abu Ghraib should not make us belief that american soldiers are born devils! What the administration did however was maybe logical but dishonourful
-
yeah, but often the officer is then fine with it. But if you have to shoot because you crawled away from the team up to the boots of the enemy well then they have a reason to go Beserk on you (remember "Beserk" from Doom?)

Thank you Thank you! You see you must see things more positively. Since I am always the last to post a link to a NEW article you should at least value my willingness to contribute!
