Original image by Toasty McGrath No improvement to Toastys image but a simple change. I will keep trying! I was just thinking about what you, the professionals, do to the picture besides resizing, framing and correcting gamma and colors? Do you flatter edges by hand? Do you sharpen textures with a filter? Do you use auto-filters?

Yeah but playing BAS is like a puzzle. One has to search 2Mio different sites to collect them all together and well then half an hour later 30% are already obsolete and need to be patched. Very confusing. And dont you dare giving me a link here to the site that you assume to have all addons. It wont work! Usually one link is broken or the one or the other addon is too old.. and so on!

I could swear Stalin was just on the phone! Â But here comes a sweet question. I tried to take an extraordinary screenshot with everything on FULL LEVEL. It went fine untill I chose to take the HIGHEST terrain level. Since then I cant start my OFP anymore. Of course I tried to set everything back on OFP PREFERENCES but I cant change terrain level in this pre-game option! Do I need to reinstall?

And I get sick of hearing this "war on teror". This is like calling WWII "war on Blitzkrieg"!

Hellfish and BN880, damn I dont remember who got shot shortly after I took this picture. I jsut remembered it was a very familliar name and none of the CIA guys. But the person should know cause I told him about the screenshot 1 second later over teamspeak. Shame you people didnt come for the last mission. I was piss drunk and it was realy anything but strategical but we definetly had fun (well I had). And Jinef, it is the old thing. Even an officer is preshured into taking rapid decisions when there are many subordinates around. And that causes often that the best decision is being missed even though the commander would have known very well what to do if he had a few more seconds to work on it. Rush Rush Rush! I hate it! And dont forget, missions made for excessive numbers of players are harder to organise. There is too many enemy squads around, to many multiple targets and threats.... It gets confusing and bullets can hit you from 360°. Remember that battle around the chopper at night where you and me got hit shortly before mission ended, well there was no way to master this scenario just by giving the right orders. It was just a DukeNukem shoot-out at the end.

IF I wanted to do you harm I would attach a little ugly trojan when you are downloading a mission during a multiplayer mission. And of course first I would ask you to turn of your antivir and your firewall cause it seems that it is slowing down the connection!

Yesterday was fun ... well I mean for me it was more like watching TV since every bullet seemed to have only one destination: "Albert"! Anyhow..kind of lame screenshots but okay Llauma waiting to take pictures of tanks! Little ugly communistic village Molotov is a very impressive thing, but should hit the tank and not the snow on the sidewalk Caramba! Was it hellfish or BN880? I told one of you people that I took an image of the spetz who is about to shoot you dead. Well this here is the guy..and you are the one in the far back! Running Running Running... wish I had something like rolerblades What is tree, what is ground texture and what is human? We did well here but they didnt stop comming! Psst. And for the ones of you that do not like to be incorrectly informed. Burger King is of course from the US.

Thank you very much. But time will get spare in my future and if I have spare time I will stick loyal to the CIA server. I owe that to them!

That is the only thing I dont like about OFP. supress doesnt realy work cause AI doesnt retreat, they dont hide and keep their heads down. This would be awesome. Some could fire rounds after rounds at them and other could flank the enemy. And they can do nothing but to keep their heads down and wait to get shot!

Shame of you that you show yourself naked on this picture. Even if you have a very hairy chest hiding a lot this still leaves too much space for imagination. This is not a pornographic board you know. Â Â

Oh BTW. I developed a strategy in which reconaissance becomes vital. I let two soldiers advance and penetrate deep into enemy teritory. They settle down (and now here comes the point) they dont fire a single shot. They stay hidden under a bush and only give exact locations of enemies. From far away the rest of the squad can slowly kill without being under risk of being hit too quickly. And the reconnaissance usually doesnt get caught up because AI is pretty stupid and blind when you stay calmly under a bush! If the squad after clearning approaches the village then the reconaissance is allowed to fire at will if the advancing troops are under danger of being hit by a badly visible AI

It turned out to be hard fact that missions with fewer players are more successful and cause less casualties then big mass-attacks. Somewhat unlogical considering that ´more real intelligence should also be able to kill more artifical intelligence. But that is not the case. So logical consequnce: the more players the more the average grade of intelligence goes down. (scary isnt it). 3 players are patient. Each knows his responsibility and everyone has a task. In a mission with 8 or more players there is a strong sense of uselessness. You heard there are enemies over there, you settle under a bush and once the order comes you shoot any enemy you see. And most often you dont even bother to check out the horizon cause you expect the others did so. With so many players I often feel like the Huns attacking a village. No order, no strategy and each and everyone just counts on his own individual skills. Maybe we should work more with team red/white/blue and give a certain task to each team when attacking a village. Tiny little squads with specific tasks such as fire-support, reconnaissance, AT, ammo supply, or sabotage. I know how tough it is for an officer to regroup his squad accordingly, and it definetly doesnt make gameplay more interesting for him. But if large missions are supposed to be a little bit realistic then the team MUST split up and do task-allocation!

BN880, couldnt agree more with your careful strategy. As an officer I would keep the squad in the back sending 2 snipers to advance. With the aid of the officer a team of 2 snipers can take out all visible targets. In the meantime the squad can carefully flank the enemy base. The good thing about AI is that they often get up again to regroup or counterattack, this is the moment to wait for. I know it requires patience which is hard to enforce during mass-missions like wednesdays and sundays. But I love to gather intel. I want to know where 80% of the enemy soldiers are before shooting. That is why Mondays night went so smooth during the first missions. We knew where most soldiers were, we agreed on which soldier attacks which enemy. OFP is meant to be a tactical game and this Teamdeathmatch-style is just a rape!

Maybe that was because it was not only the first mission we played when you were there, but also the last one before you joined. When paying a mission two times in a row, things tend to go faster hah! Â That is what I implied with my post! Many of you got shot like rabbits...usually that is my job!

stunning looks? Now let me teach you something about stunning looks. This is Jessica Lynch styled up And this is Mrs. Belucci styled down Lynch is genetical rubbish as far as her looks are concerned, but she certainly is a good girl. Some people tend to mix up fame with beauty. You see that wife of Beckham may be famous..but she definetly is very ugly too! Â (BN880 I know you meant that "stunning" ironically! )

Nah. Actually they said that they would like to forward my CV to a different sister company cause they dont have space for me in their office. So I said "thank you sooo much Mr. xxxx" ... you are so kind! Well I got my new job already signed but still it is worth to do some benchmark! (I love trailer parks) Â The mission I played yesterday seemed new to me, well at least I never played it and I was surprised all of you rushed into that city so quickly.
