post it in a counterstrike forum! Dont ruin my day with this rubbish! Â Secondly, I appreciate everyone trying to create a good movie with OFP content. Many of us have fulltime jobs and so I know what it means if someone takes the time to create a short movie for us. And yes I like to watch them and I dont give a fiddlers fart if a teenie of 14y created a "much better" multihour trailer on CounterStrike. Keep creating. I will try to do a short movie myself. (oops, noticed too late that mentioning CS will mean punishment. sorry for that, but I dont want to simply erase my post)

ahh, you show-off, I can see VBS1 on the left side, you did that deliberately, didnt you?

Vaccum the zombies out? But for that you would need outside terrain! Â Doom3 multiplayer maps realy suck big time. Its fast and the beserk-mode is pretty cool, also, that you can turn off the light! But thats about it!

if I take the latest forecasts into consideration then germany will only get around 16 gold metalls! I think we will perform pretty badly this year!

What about the dutch bike? Heavy like a tank and if yours is broken your are allowed to simply take the next one in reach!

no usually it is the other way around. People on parties (already being drunk) find out during the night that they need more booze. So they decide to get into the car and get more at the local gas station.

Russkies find alien spaceship in Tunguska
Albert Schweitzer replied to pogingwapo's topic in OFFTOPIC
If a species is able to cross the universe to visit mother earth then it is definetly not using an ordinary space-ship... and I might assume that it would be somewhat smart enough not to crash! -

I think we can give this thread a rejuvination. Now that DOOM3 is out we have the direct comparison. Luckily I can stick to my opinion. FarCry is much more fun! The graphics in Doom are not as breath-taking as all of you proclaimed. The level design is pretty much the same level after level. Entering hell... well then it seems to change to a certain degree. Too many scripted events and after a certain while one basically knows that something is going to happen. Storyline is artificial and there are ONLY indoor maps. So for all of you complaining about the graphics of FarCry, the AI, the simillarity of maps... and kept poundering us with "doom is gonna be sooo much better" ... what do you have now to defend yourself?

okay, even without the number plate they can still be identified from far away. its like american cops and donuts or italian police or US insurance nonesense

Okay, for someone who hasnt played GTA yet. Is it still worth to try it out or are the graphics a bit out of date by now? The idea of it is great, strange I never tried it  . COD is realistic is some parts. Russian soldiers crossing the volga in the transport boats. Soldiers jumping into the water were shot immediately, Dive bombers took out many of the ships. However during the final assault much of the river was already frozen. The battle in the tunnels beneath stalingrad is 100% correct, in many cases those were the real supply lines for food and communication. And, probably the most realistic part is that the russians were indeed send into battle with just five bullets and no rifle. The were asked to take one of a dead instead. That doesnt make it OFP but it steals nice little features of the movies "winterwar", "stalingrad", "Bridge too far" and "enemy at gates"

1989 Pontiac Trans Am GTA
Albert Schweitzer replied to KTM_Calle's topic in ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
I am impressed by those first pictures of yours. Realy nice and I hope the car is hitting Everons roads very soon. May I ask for a litte detail. I dont like that most modellers create the car with nice dark wheels. So give them some dirt and the car is gonna fit nicely into the landscape. Maybe you can even create a second model to fit into winter-maps. Â a little snow here and there on the wheels and sidepannels. -
That must mean you haven't seen that many the last few years, caravan numberplates must be white these days Realy? But I still see the yellow black around. Or am I judging from old memmories?
-
BTW a cousin of mine works for UBISOFT! Shall I give you his e-mail adress so you can torture him!
-
I didnt have the time to read it fully. Did they mention the dutch passion for caravans? In the summer our roads are jammed with old rusty caravans with yellow number-plates

I personally hope that this does not happen, as the continuing consolidation of the games industry brings with it fewer games each year, and everyone knows big companies don't take risks, so there will be fewer fresh ideas and even more sequels.... ...Guillemot also mentioned acquisitions from other publishers such as Codemasters. The biggest third-party title Codemasters publishes at the moment, I believe, is Operation Flashpoint. This game is in direct competition to the already "Ubi Soft-owned" Red Storm game Ghost Recon. It will be interesting to see if Ubi Soft tries to get its hands on that game, and what it does with it if successful.

Also, the german film "Die Brücke" (1959) In the final days of World War II, German teenagers join the Nazi army in a futile attempt to stop the enemy invasion. A sympathetic officer places the boys as guards of a seemingly unimportant bridge. The seven youths are thrown into battle when American tanks unexpectedly appear and try to cross the bridge. The film has a definite anti-war message Best scene: an american soldier shouts "dont shoot, they are goddamn kids.." a few seconds later he is being shot dead by one of the youngest. A good message about child-soldiers and once in a while forget realism. The best "all-stars" in one film. A BRIDGE TOO FAR

Sorry, even if OFP made it to 22nd... this list realy sucks. It neither corresponds to sales figures nor to popularity polls in my country. Prince of Persiŕ? Are you mad? CIV3? Where is that Mafia? Still an awesome game! ....

No, I think by now the community is no longer connected by the game only, but by a certain OFP-culture . I doubt this community is gonna break apart. I will stay to the bitter end, I like the forum, I like the members, I like the topics being discussed here... and I will soon be back for multiplayer sessions. BUT we have to think whether we switch to VBS. The only problem is, the younger ones will not be able to follow (pretty costly). But by now 50% of the members in this forum are not regular OFP-players anymore.. but come to this forum to meet old friends and have a good talk. Dont be so pessimistic. Let me remind you when OFP got out. The first time I logged on here was to ask only one short question about a mission,,, and see how it ended....I molested you with nearly 5000 comments since. Nah ... I stay!
