Bastlers maps are pretty well done. Lets hope those maps provide enough space. But before all of you post your location, just wait till he tells us that we can start. (ps: europe might get a bit tight)

Problems we will face 1. adequate maps 2. best way to mark location. (e.g. too many in prague ) 3. Interactive way of showing name while mouse-over. So which programs could we use? I tried to simply put it in a self-running ppt but there is no such thing as "show text when mouseover".

maybe some of you have better maps? But yes, I totally agree... And Avon gets a map for herself. A tiny red dot in the middle of the middle east ...

    OFP-MANIAC-MAP-Locator

if you provide me the tools to do that then fine ... but no. I simply thought about making a map with tiny red dots to show where the members live / come from.

    1. well in that case I would ask the people to move out of town for the weekend to a nearby village so I can put the dot eleswhere. But sure. I could use

I tried... I couldnt find one that is big enough to fit the dots. For the US that is okay but with 3 dots germany would be gone and with one dot belgium could be covered twice. The map should must be huge otherwise.

Okay... wow... quite a lot of new difficult terms ... PLEASE take into consideration that there are semi-intellectual germans here that might have slight problems with the terms you used in your posts! Runs into the library to search for grandpas Oxford dictionary of 1875!

    Copenhagen - London bike trip

Holland, Belgium and Germany are superb cycling countries. Not only the roads give good space to cyclists but the population is very active itself so you dont have to fight for your right on the streets. Sceenerie in holland and belgium is great IF you are lucky with the weather. When I used to be a teenie I did lot of trips and we had more fun sleeping in tents. (no danger and great fun in the forests or lakeside). But I must admit that the weather can be pretty frustrating in autumn, you might have lots of cold rain, that usually influences the mood and motivation in a very bad way

    Us presidential election 2004

I dont need no analyst to understand that a president tried to cheat the UN into a war. That this war was fought for the president's personal reasons and that YOU as a voter are responsible for thousands of dead civillians! And he has the arrogance to declare those he lied to as being ungreatful. Furthermore he considers the worlds effort to protect the environment against the greenhouse-effect as being silly just like the idea to ban landmines, which are the cause of thousands of dead children each year. Mines that had no positive military effect since decades but are a good business. And finally, he doesnt want to say participate in the campaign against child labour. Right now I see a freak ruling your country. Highly religious, highly arrogant and lethal like no other western-president on the globe. The electoral speech was full of polemic statements. I remember one from Giuliani about the freeing of a muslim terorist after the big desaster during the german olympics 1972. He complained that this specific terorist was released only a few days after they had killed a dozen israeli athletes. Everyone in the room shouted "boo" directed at the german weasels. What this MF forgot to mention was that a leading american diplomat called Martin Hillebrand forced the german government to release him cause the group still held an american hostage (flight LH615) and it was election time in the US. So how fuxxcking rude and insultive can you be to even mention this desaster? Well you can if you are republican and your voters eat your words like fundamentalists eat those of Bin Laden! But Fact is we were the first country to LEGALLY put a terorist into jail responsible 911. Right now the world is waiting. Noone realy cares much about the insults coming from your continent because we know they bark a lot during an election. But if Bush is being elected again the world will no longer dislike only him but set his attitude and actions equal to the opinion of the american people. From 2004 on Bush=America. Full stop. I work in the investment sector and I already know several german investors that forget about rationality when it comes to putting their money into american private-equity funds, real estate or whatsoever. They read the newspaper and see new insults basically everyday. I have to work so I have to keep it short. The isolation you see now is not even comparable to what is gonna come if Bush is being reelected. Be prepared to a different attitude in the world when you open your passport and say "I am american". I hope for your own sake that Kerry is being elected.

    Us presidential election 2004

Republicans always forget to finish the story. The war in Iraq wasnt over in 3 months, it just started, and so does you story. republican the next day the homeless person named Pepe visits the republican at his corporate head office and asks for a job. Â The republican tells him to sit down in the waiting room untill it is his turn. But in that waiting room Pepe cant find a space to sit down cause all chairs are being taken. Then half an hour later he is being called into the office of the republican. "Sit down, my friend, I have a job for you and we will pay you 4$ an hour." The unemployed answers "4$ sir? I am happy you are offering me a job but 4$ isnt enough for a living, I mean I can afford to live a poor life myself but I want to help my children getting a good education. with 4$ I cannot do that. Did you forget it took me 20$ only to get here? The republican man answers "look my friend, did you see the waiting room? There are lots of people that want your job, the economy is running bad, so I have the choice, and I will chose the cheapest. Either it is you, one of the people out there, or maybe even a little child in china. They are working for only 6 cents an hour. So you are either with me or against me!" ----------------------------------------------------------------- Democrat The next day the unemployed Pepe visits the welfare office. The lady at the reception tells him to sit down and asks him what profession he has learned in the past and what his family-circumstances are. She tells him that he will probably not find a good job, but in case he is employed he might get support for the education of his children. She then tells him that he must be careful that he does not take underpaid jobs cause those are often given to hispanic immigrants like him and only make him fall deeper into the loan-trap. First he is given a list with reliable employers in the region, their telephone numbers and explanation of jobs available. Then Pepe is being told where and how he can get support for the education of his children. She also adds, "whether you find a well-paid job is up to you and the economy, we can only provide the logistics" ...."but he interupts "all that counts for me is my children "if they are given the same chance to succeed in life like all other children in the US, then I have fullfilled my job as a father". Â "You are definetly right about that she replies. Oh and those 15$ we took for administrational purposes are being used to to put your child in the adequate school list. And you know what 15$ dollars are much cheaper than a life-time prison cell, cause that is where most children end when their parents have no jobs"!

    Gunmen take 200+ student hostages

What is that supposed to mean? If you're talking about the outcome, it's easy for you to sit at home and critisize, but it looks like most made it out. If you comment was directed at the reported killing of one of the terrorists by a civilian mob, put yourself in their shoes, would you be content with just putting him under citizen's arrest? most made it out? Wow, so i should call it a positive outcome then! I tell you... this thing was a big failure. Of course I have an easy life sitting here and criticising. But could it have turned out worse than that? Did you have the impression there were proffessional anti-terror units operating? I may seriously doubt that! And then ... what about this "we had agreed with the kidnappers to extract the dead bodies..." doesnt this sound pretty ridiculous to you? Why the hell extracting dead people? Why would the terorists agree to that when they didnt even let the hostages pee, drink or even open a window? So you think they said "yes, send 10 people in to take the dead bodies out, they start smelling" SUUUUURE ! This whole operation to me appears to be the 2nd fucked up operation... with the typical russian attitude to priortise the death of the terorists and then to let as many hostages survive it as possible. Cremlin-talk is generally different than Cremlin action. No lesson learned from Moscow?
