I think so too walker. But on the other hand I believe that noone can prevent another attack to happen. From a logistical point of view, how much money would you have to invest to realy protect the US. It is definetly not possible!

Looks good to me! (even though you respected none of my advises! ) But it also looks expensive. I hope you got the 19 screen. He is right, they are damn cheap right now. I got a 21 screen for basically nothing.

Have you ever tried quitting smoking/alcohol?
Albert Schweitzer replied to brgnorway's topic in OFFTOPIC
No, Acecombat. There are not always ways to relax yourself. A glass of wine makes people talk more openly. They drop all their self discipline and suddenly get more emotionaly accessible. I have been to many dinners with and without alcohol and the best discussions occur when people drink a few glasses of beer or wine, when it gets cozy and people are slowly forgetting about their daily problems ... and that is when you notice that "the moment counts... now is now and tomorrow is tomorrow". We are not saying here that you have to be smashed all the time, nor do we say we only drink alcohol for the taste. But a reasonable amount is great medicine that lets you and the others forget about routine and enjoy a nice evening out. AND YES, you can have great discussions when people are a little drunk. I can still think clearly, the others can, and even german girls can mostly control themselves after a few glasses (bottles). (actually I had some of the best romances when I was a little drunk ) Alcohol is not killing you Ace, it is not liquid heartpoison. One day your life will be so full of obligations and problems that you wont have any chance to always fully relax when you want it to. Of course I would never suggest to you to try alcohol, but every culture has its own drugs to simply calm your mind for a while. May it be sex, cigarettes, alcohol, spices from Amsterdam, or just a whirlpool... everything may help. But for a dinner or a night at a bar... alcohol is just the most comfortable and common thing here in europe. -
He is a robot! and that was his powerline. You pull the plug and the Bush-robot would have stopped responding. The robot is nothing else than a CIA muppet. I reality they are in charge of the administration!

I may assume this is simply a corporate list and the other one is a national list. Bernadotte is late, I thought you gonna hit on m21man much earlier. Kerry is leading since a few days. Looks like you gonna get his post count. Â

Now the real dirty work starts for the republicans. They have to diffuse the attention away from the missing WMD. So therefore they are now publishing lists in which all companies are to be found, which received oil from Saddam Hussein. Strangely enough we dont see names of american companies? But they were on the list but have been deleted because of  "restrictions in the US law". A dirty move. You cannot point the fingers at others without taking responsibility yourself. But strangely enough.... most companies stem from countries which are now part of the COALITION of the WILLING. ... sorry for the mistake... image larger than 100kb (worth a look) http://www.spiegel.de/img/0,1020,397024,00.jpg

If I remember correctly the Red Cross has removed ALL its staff due to the recent attacks a few days ago.

Whats so fun about stoning your mind out , not knowing what you might do, lose your ability to perform even the simplest of actions , not to mention health issues and being a nuisance to others? to relax! Something you Ace should try from time to time! (without the help of alcohol of course) Â ----------------------------------------------------------- Maybe I just drink and smoke to rebell against this upcoming trend of "living healthy makes you live happily". We have all those freaking fitness tapes coming over from Florida and California of people eating the most disgusting artificial health food, taking Botox and youth hormons, sleeping in oxygen tents and beginning the day with Joga and a facial scrub. I just hate this fakeness... I rather have a good discussion with someone who is drunk and smells from cigarettes than with a phoney californian fittness trainer. -

Have you ever tried quitting smoking/alcohol?
Albert Schweitzer replied to brgnorway's topic in OFFTOPIC
Started when I was 16. Enjoyed most of my cigarettes and had the best nights and the best  discussions together with friends while smoking and drinking. I tried to quit in the past and I was able to do it without side effects. But it just gets boring going out on the weekend and not being able to smoke. I would have no problem not to smoke before 6:00pm or not to smoke for the entire day. But there are moments that are made for a good cigarette and I bet the Marlboro man enjoyed his life even if it was quite short. I mean have you ever been to a non-smoking bar? Boring! Boring as hell! The women that go to non-smoking bars generally have no charisma and a reduced amount of humour.  Besides, non smokers to me are kind of boring anyway. Who never tried it is too disciplined in my eyes!  However I strictly defend the rights of Non-smokers. I hated the smokers in trains and planes. After a few seconds passing through the smokers area your clothes already smell like a chimney. But why is it forbidden to smoke in an open space area?  How could that molest other people? At my age generally people start to quit and we have no problem accepting that nor do they have a problem when we smoke. Quitting is good but it is NOT a decision of life and death or to change from evil to good. It is simply: "I had enough, they dont taste anymore!"   You mean appelation Grand Cru Classé, it is eeeeeee not aeeeeee -
Kerry did not deliberately FORGET any of these members but he was making a clear point that the US and a few others are carrying the real burden and therefore a COALITION is a relatively ridiculous term. What percentage does the polish contigency make up of the entire coalition forces? And it is ridiculous indeed And where is the firepower of this "Great Coalition?". Is it Norway with its 10 soldiers? No he was right when he said that americans should not count on the current coalition to support and release american troops from pressure. Currently the UK, largest contributor, has around 9000 soldiers in Iraq. Well in comparison the US, how much is that exactly? And Poland with 2000 soldiers might be a moral contributor but definetly not significantly helping. There is no coalition that provides significant firepower and fights alongside the US. This is pure propaganda. And where is this great coalition next year? the year that Kerry was refering to? Poland's Defense Minister announced on Oct. 4, 2004, that Poland would withdraw its troop contingent from Iraq by the end of 2005. The US will stand pretty alone at the end of 2005. Dont trust me? Read this! Interesting read

I'm not a military man, unless a stint in the Boy's Brigade at age 12 counts  But I insist on the rules, without rules we have anarchy, and all that I know Placebo. As Bals said: he deliberately broke the rules. I dont know why someone would do this except he would feel terribly insulted. I remember me having posted "I stick my boots right up to your brain if you ...." because someone realy made me angry. But in Wilco's case there was no such emotion involved. He simply refused to delete that image. Wonder why But as I said. In the end we lost a member. His fault, not ours, but he is gone. Sad for all!
-
of course, a military man insists on rules, a civillian like me however defends flexibility and mercy. It is sad that we lost a member such as Wilco. That is the final result noone can argue against!
-
The only reason why he was permanently banned was because the forum rules cannot leave any space for interpretation. But the picture itself was absolutely harmless. Wilco therefore did not make a tasteless or immoral mistake but simply deliberately ignored the forum rules. I would prefer if the moderators judge from case to case... in this specific case I think all of us could have overlooked it. But Moderators do their and they do it good so I dont want to intervene.

Did you ever sit in a Dingo? Are they commonly used? Do you feel secure inside them? is the gunner able to well ovierview the environment through this scope?
-
But that is an image of a Dingo 1, isnt it? there is a big difference as far as the chassis is concerned oh and supah... No monthly payments but get it in 2004 and pay it January 2005. It comes with a free family ticket for Disney-land Paris

No, it wouldnt. It is clear that you need a FAST vehicule in case you have been ambushed and trapped in the middle of a tight street. Therefore it must be wheeled. The Fennek certainly is not realy the right vehicule for Irak either. I only mentioned him here because I would love to have a silver civillian version of this one. I mean we are talking about patrol vehicules that simply have a proper protection. Okay, dont be astonished, this one may be ugly ... but this "Mercedes Dingo 2" has a mine deflector & ballistic protection, an NBC-air-filter and weighs 11 tons. The defense system is navigated from inside. DINGO 2 are equipped with a run flat-tire-system, ensuring mobility of grade of the protection when new vehicle even after hitting the tires. technologies are available. As an option, a multipurpose gun mount is available to accommodate MG 7,62, 12,7 oder GMW 40mm. Also largercalibergunscan be integrated in DINGO 2. Due to its flexible design the DINGO can also easily be used as carrier for other armaments: Air-Defense missiles, Anti-Tank missiles, multipurpose turrets etc.

you should have posted that in the old thread. yes, you should have!

Please explain why the KKK is attacking the homes of conservative, white, upper-middle-class families. good one!

Billibob, I am not calling you a racist... but you must allow us to say that you have a very one sided view of the conflict It is not law&order against religious warlords and their servants It is not democracy against muslim fundamentalism It is not only US forces against terorists. It is not good against evil ---- Dont try to summarise and simplify this conflict like politicians do it when developing slogans for an election. In the end it is true: You are and remain a foreign force that entered their country without them having asked for it and without neither the arab community nor the UN having legalised it. You removed Saddam Hussein because he appeared to be a "threat" to you, the people welcomed that but from now on you have absolutely NO justification to remain in iraq. You have no obligation nor the right to force them into democracy. You have NO right to tell them who their leader should be. And you definetly have no right to enter their houses and to tell them who their enemy is. You could argue that the majority wants democracy and wants to adapt the american system. But neither the majority thinks that way nor do you have any LEGAL right to insist on it. The insurgents is mainly composed of iraqis. Those iraqis did NOT take part in the system of Saddam Hussein nor are you allowed to kill them just because they are against democracy and FOR a muslim state. Have you ever asked them if they want democracy at all? Have you ever asked them if they want a unified iraq instead of splitting up? No, you consider everyone rejecting your ideas as evil and everyone carrying a gun as a terorist. How you would you feel if a muslim nation would have come to invade the US because your democracy enables poverty, moral deterioration, atheism, prostitution and slave-workers all over the world? Wouldnt you raise your gun against them? Wouldnt you think.. why the hell do they believe their system is superior?

I am not trying to desperately defend Xpand here... but I must say when playing the demos I did not find great differences in terms of surface-feeling when comparing the 2. It might be that the RBR demo does not give the real campaign mode feeling but in terms of road surfaces I think Xpand was even slightly tougher. But I guess you people have better experience with RBR. However I surprised of how hard Xpand is. I hope some of you give the demo a chance a try it out. I might not have much experience in real racing simulations but I definetly know the arcade games... and it doesnt fit into that cluster.

I would agree that 1/3 of military personal votes for Kerry. However we should not forget that those soldiers currently in Iraq have a vote too and probably did not participate in the Poll.
-
watch the video It doesnt reflect my views but it refers to "flip-flop Kerry" Taking Kerry's statements out of the context and using them for an add... For me this doesnt show anything else than that the administration is basically able to filter any info coming from the Defense Ministry and the National Secuity Agencies and to use it for their purposes. In other words they can decide which Intel supports their political intention and publish just that. Kerry here seems to basically repeat what he was given. He neither has a real clue of the intel that is available to the administration. Me personally I believe that in Germany the majority of top-politicians has a better insight into intel available. Or maybe not? thanks for reading ... enjoy this as a reward highspeed connection Low speed connection
