Llauma. Well I can send it to you, no prob but we gotta make sure Mr. Kaitnieks is not anoyed by being skipped. Kaitnieks, I hope you understand if I give this game to Llauma. I know that he played racing games before too and I also know him since quite a while and we also played quite a lot MP Missions together. It would be fair to give it to him!

Okay.. you are definetly my first choice.. but let me first see if one of the from-the-first-moment-on members wants it. Dont be angry, under 500 posts, you will be the one to get it. Fair?! Â Â I am sure some of them even leave it to you, because you like racing sims!

yeah but you know those japanese tourists are everywhere. You can even tell them it is exciting to take pictures of the open wide sea.

For me personally the best way to spend money was to use the hotels in Thailand and their newly created funds. What they do is simple. They collect money to support their employees whose houses have been destroyed.. or they use the money to support the children who now live without parents. I know that the hotels down there feel a strong committment to the community and I know the money is going to spend without bureaucracy, without corruption and without errors. Thats where my money went!

If you want to play that game Australia (760+M) is actually the largest donor  Japan has actually pledged 500M (third), and the US is at 350M (fourth...plus there are already US ships and deliveries in the area). EDIT: All numbers in $, but as someone pointed out...this isn't a pissing contest. Since yesterday that is. However if you want to take Wednesday as a benchmark then Tony Blair is leading (with several hundred million "pound" ) and Australia with 580.000.000 Euro just a little bit ahead of Germany. Japan is stagnating at 375 Mio Euro. Who cares if it is a pissing contest or not, fact is money helps! Better a pissing contest about donations than about "the worlds best military". THe only tiny difference is. Neither Tony Blair nor Australia have approved and guarantee that this money is going to be paid. That my friend, has shown to be a big difference in the past.

Bastler. Better to pay now than not to pay anything at all. Better to send 500.000.000 to rebuild South East Asia than 1Billion to bomb Iraq. Sounds idealistic and naive, well it is. But considering the waste of our government for useless projects such as TollCollect & Holzmann I believe you are overestimating the impact of 1/2Billion Dollars. Those people have less to live with than our unhappy HartzIV victims, better keep that in mind. It is important you do not perceive it as "wasted money" only because we never paid Africa the same amount of money.

surely you are right but those 500 Mio have already been approved by our parliament. In germany that means it must be put into action and those funds cannot be redirected. What I am fearing now is mainly corruption and bureaucracy. I am not so scared about Thailand since they have tackled corruption in the past very successfuly... but the other countries?
-
Here is something to take pride in and I DO Germany is leading the world by providing 500 Mio Euro to the countries that have suffered from the Tsunami. Japan, in contrast, is spending 300 Mio and the US 250 Mio.

Welcome to the family. I freaked the entire christmas holidays because I couldnt see other computers around. I guess you are smart enough to disable the stupid firewall and file access restrictions.
-
You dont mean that serious do you?

I am bit surprised. I never thought the textures and effects in AA would be that good. But even if it pleases my eye I try to stay away from games made by a military for marketing purposes.

Yesterday I succeeded in accessing our wlan at home. But I couldnt access the internet though. Today I cant even access the wlan. The problem is that I have two other computers at home that still work perfectly. I could simply copy all identifications and IP of my other computers and usually it worked for me to log in. But this time it wont work. The second problem is that the 2 other computers still work with ME and my new one with XP. And XP has a lot of aditional options (such as LMHOST) that I dont know how to work with. The network options look so simple in ME and one, two, three I am in. But in XP I got about 30 additional options ... I feel like playing the lottery when I enable this or disable that just to find the right way to get in. Any advises. Before I forget, my computer clearly identifies that there is a WLAN network out there... simply cant access. Majorly anoying!
-
I changed all once again. Might have been the gateway though, or maybe host name?? I realy dont know but I dont want to play around again now that it works! The ME computer however has a predefined IP, maybe ME doesnt support DHCP? Concerning the security issues, my father wants to upgrade the WLan network at home so I hope they are gonna take care of it. Left him a note on his table, but usually he doesnt listen to me, still!

Winipcfg... I used the data to copy it into my XP machine. I had some mistakes concerning hostname and DNS. It works fine now. Still cant access the internet but that has to do with the SP2 firewall.
-
brainy bastard...!!! it worked!
-
how stupid of you to try to help such an amateur like me! Only you can fall into that trap! I will try to work it out
-
no, cant access the site.. its getting embarassing for me!
-
nah.. didnt realy help.. was too short.. explained some things but didnt relate to what settings are essential to log into an average home network. Thank you though!
-
I try that.. thank you!
-
no goddamn clue? I would look it up by my sisters babies are sleeping in that room. I guess it is an ordinary router that we use and I use an ordinary Belkin wireless adapter. All network sniffers tell me that the network is out there... but I cant log in. if at least SP2 would have a wizard that could tell me why there is an access failure.. And yes.. dont smile, I am a network greenhorn... but on the other hand I know more about swiss cheeses than you do.. beat that!
-
okay.. lets put it this way.. what exactly does my WLAN need to identify me? IP? Gateway? Computername? and what options should I better leave disabled.
