scenario is only slightly simillar? Cold war crisis? Is the term Flashpoint really that commonly used? especially in computer games? Are the screens from the editor realy that much different to the styles used in OFP? I dont want to say they copy the idea.. but they definetly copy style and hope for our positive associations when we hear "flashpoint"

Before posting a new thread.. I want to know if ever anyone mentioned the new game Flashpoint Germany? I cant find anything with the "search" function.

can anyone tell me which games I should delete from the list?

The names in english might be spelled differently Please spend a little time researching on the candidates before simply voting. If you have NO clue then dont vote. For the germans a little source http://www.spiegel.de/flash/0,5532,10129,00.html the english could also use this one... internet site of a german-iraqi radio station covering only the election. Very confusing ... but contains many many short details http://www.electionmonitoriraq.com/content.php?contentTypeID=36 For comments on the election please use to the original Iraq thread! POLL ONLY - DO NOT TRY TO POST COMMENTS

maybe he doesnt deserve it, but future generations deserve to understand that after all humans are able to do these things... Mass-murderer dont wear horns and have gleaming red eyes. The perversion is hidden inside... it isnt that easy to prevent the history from happening again..

After having watched "der Untergang" and having being highly impressed by the quality of the film I went for another one that came out this month. It is called Napola and tells the story of a teen and hiscareer in one of the famous elite Nazi-schools. All in all I was somewhat dissapointed, but the movie itself is not bad. Excellent choice of actors Perfect Acting Very realistic athmosphere Nice short-stories but the overall plot of the film is rather flat and stereotypical. If you want to know more about it before watching it, then tell me. Find some images here http://www.film.de/movieimages.php/id/2273/

Both, halflife and Pacific Assault work with the same engine (Havok-engine)

See, hollywood is already starting with the "declarification" process. For hollywood this means not only good money but it is the typical american way to digest history. And this cheap and shaky camera scripts pretend authenticity... bullshit, the dialogues is simple-minded rethorical diarhea from young stupid soldiers that have never seen more than Mamas Backyard before entering this war. In a few years from now the war in Iraq will be known as a glorious humanitarian war. And this MacMovie is just one step into this direction. Does it look critical or well-researched to you? Piece of Junkmovie pretending to be "valuable"! Noone interviews american soldiers if the military hasnt checked the intentions. So dear producers.. stick it up your butt, and dont try to earn money with this bloody war-merchandise! I am getting sick of it.

60th anniversary of liberating Auschwitz-Birkenau
Albert Schweitzer replied to Grizzlie's topic in OFFTOPIC
Actually the main reason you post this is because you saw it on mass media pal. Â Were you going to post about the 60th anniv. without CNN etc. showing it? Why does some of the world try to pretend now? Â We have the same things going on and building up today, and get it out of your head that Jews are the targets. Â It is nice to go to a ceremony, but you also have to remember to do something about it. Â Hence, Cheney being there... he should have been shot by one of the guards. Â That bastard would love nothing more than to gas arabs and to nullify the UN. The world is truly fucked... ouch! Â Â (seeking cover) I wouldnt be that brutal... I just noticed that most of the survivors of the Holocaust never drew any comparisons to historical events that occured afterwards... only if they were PUSHED into making a political statement... simply because, it has nothing to do with the story.. it has nothing to do with their pain. but politicans they do use it... even though they never lived through it. Remembering the Holocaust means not to rape it for a modern message.. but to remember those that have died BACK THEN... only them ... and there were enough to remember Often Feelings of sympathy have nothing to do with education or discussion... usually it is simply a question of intelligence. Some have it, some dont -

Germany Vivendi is being sewed for not being clear about Stream Requirements and for declaring that their american User agreements also count for germany (which they are not) In case they dont change their system they might have to pay 6000 Euro for each game sold in germany. For german readers only

60th anniversary of liberating Auschwitz-Birkenau
Albert Schweitzer replied to Grizzlie's topic in OFFTOPIC
Seriously, I may believe there are ways to better create awareness and rememberance than posting it here in this forum. Especially since, to me, the internet leaves a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to piety. There are many impious organisations that functionalise the Holocaust for their own purposes... Jewish-Americans claiming that the gun laws would have prevented a Holocaust and still does Israeli organisations that claim that the palestinians are responsible for the Holocaust of the 21st century A prime ministre that claims that the israelis have learned from the Holocaust that they cant count on anyone and that they will always defend themselves to prevent another Holocaust. German right wing parties that say that the jews havent patented the expression Holocaust and that it can only be used for the term "the Holocaust of Dresden" Members of the US military that claim that the war in Iraq also means protecting Israel ... and by that giving them the protection they never got before. GreenPeace that claims animal testing is the modern Holocaust Remembering yes, but using the Holocaust to support your own argumentation is bascially selling souls and playing with dead people. There is no Holocaust in 2005! You cannot use it today..whenever you want... just because it is a fashion term and has so much association power. And NO, I dont want to discuss the issue here on an internet forum, I dont want to wear a rememberance badge, I dont want to sign an internet-petition. That is cheap, cheap, cheap and fucking pretentious! And I dont want to watch a shitty documentaries on TV which is interrupted by adds about dental bleach-strips and coke-light. Many of us may have their very own non-virtual-reality way of remembering. NRA, NPD, JewishAmerican Keep&bear Arms, Print rememberance Badge, all those delivering their propaganda rubbish online and selling their merchandise makes the internet the most "fake" and "pretentious" communication channel. And no, the Holocaust doesnt belong here! Go buy a good book about it, take a few evenings off, read it, and take time to think about it always for 30 minutes afterwards. If you are doing that .... that is the way to remember and not a few posts in an online forum. Just because I dont want to discuss it doesnt mean I dont pay it respect! The opposite is the case. The Holocaust doesnt belong here! -
Since the mods dont reply to my question I guess it is realy the best idea to "discuss" the election here. But please try to stick to that topic 100% otherwise they gonna close it pretty quickly! Â Me too, I only knew 3 of the candidates before... Alawi (US-puppet) Al Hakim (the "real" muslim ) Schahristani, ( Â man with ideals and good relations with the UN)
-
would you allow me to use the Iraq Election Poll for a discussion too. I think it would be more interesting for the posters if they could paste good material and discuss about one or the other candidate. However I am not too sure whether this would be disadvantegous for the original Iraq thread.
-
Why do you people have to make it so complicated. 1) if you want to comment on it, then post the comment in the Iraqi-Thread! Why? Because otherwise the moderators are going to close this thread. If you are not interested in voting then dont vote and dont criticise. 2.) It cant be that hard to research a bit about the candidates and choose which you assume is best for the country. I assume you are able to judge time-efficiency and effectiveness.. choose an adequate candidate in the short time you have available! Is that so challenging? When it comes down to an election that is what you have to do, no? Put a cross ... only a cross! Damn I forgot to tick "poll-only" If you only wish to post info on a candidate then you are warmly welcome.

For multiplayer we definetly need teamspeak. Now I bought a new Mic and cant make it work, so I got a few questions. Do I plug the mic into the mic-plug or line in. I can hear everything I say without even having teamspeak test mode on! How do I change that? Any wise words of advise?
