Ralph.. I can go to CNN myself! I thought we all agreed we only post articles when they support our argumentation instead of simply being a newsupdate!

damn, give me a fully bugged version of OFP2, I dont care as long as I get it end of 2005. Got used to it from OFP1 and nether realy bothered about the problems! Better a fully bugged OFP2 than a perfectionised Battlefield 2!

It would be cool, if you could see the flashes on the horizon at night, just like in Band of Brothers. For example: you and your squad are riding with a hummer, getting closer to the battlefield. The closer you get, the louder the explosions get. Sounds too much like WWII. The rigidity of the frontline and combat zones have decreased since then.

New multiplayer mission starts

okay, fair enough. But that is a mod. It should be implemented in OFP2 as standard!!!! -
gimp is great. Absolutely astonishing that it can keep up with photoshop BUT as all great programs it requires a lot of time to realy get into it!

Don't tell them how you are doing it cause that makes you special  nah, I am still special! They give me addons I give them links to free software. I still get more than I give

Oh I am using the ordinary video-screencapture that is implemented in OFP2! Â Nah actually it is too easy to say it here but I am using either http://www.photofiltre.com/ which provides a software called Reflet or I am using "Squirlz Water reflections". The later is only capable of creating flash or Avis but you can then transform it into GIF later if you wish. Â Actually it is a job of seconds. All you need is a good horizontal screenshot and a litte bit of feeling what the wave should look like. The advantage of Squirlz is that you can make transparent water so you could see the feet of a soldier standing in a lake. For a good screenshot you should use dry land with a valley. And then place some plants on the border of the valley and voila .. fill it with water later on! It looks awesome since you can put divers and a real underwater world to it! Cant afford photoshop. So far I only used Paint and some freeware to create screenshots .. embarassing but true!

I seem to make progress... now added underwater texture. here in small (currently takes too long to load.. need to check!) .. doesnt work! see it here in large http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=besser1&width=800 remake .. this time transparent ground http://img198.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img198ℑ=chopper1pr.swf -
Yes I totally agree, that would look nice.. but unfortunately I havent quite succeeded yet of creating waves from the "bird perspective" of an image. But I try to work on it!
-
kind of a very gay though with the water effects, but who cares. Well I added 2 more, I try to work on more pics. Would be nice if any of you had pics of soldiers or combat taking place near water or soldiers standing in the water, or planes crashed into the water ... whatever. I hope you dont mind if I recycle some of your old images. Anyway, they are definetly worth to be reused.

My guess is late 2005 too. I cant believe they can survive without revenue much longer.

be joining in 20 minutes!

Got a life, a girlfriend and a pretty timedemanding and tiring job but I stick to OFP simply because it still beats other games in gameplay, athmosphere and multiplayer. Pure Egoism! So expect me to stay here!
-
Well we must admit it doesnt look too bad. But explosions are kind of exaggerated. I simply hope that this makes BIS hurry a bit!
-
Here is a screen I am still working on to make it smaller. And yes, this is an image of our last session.. watch image size (450kb)

lol, awesome contributions all. I am sure we can soon publish a OFP2 parody site! -
You can speak your mind. But there are times when it is inappropriate to do so. Being able to sense that depends on your manners and you emotional sensitivity. Which of the two are you lacking?
